The restaurant is open again and I am thrilled to say the sandwiches we had and the homemade soups are back to the excellence I expect when dining there. The French Onion soup was better than ever and the Cuban sandwich was made with home cooked meats and so big you need an extra big appetite or a carry out box. My favorite though is still the fish sandwich. And I don't know how they do it but the homemade fries are crispy outside and fluffy inside. No wimpy homemade fries there. I attempted 3 times to get reservations for the Mothers Day Brunch. Twice I left voice mails that never got returned and the 3rd time, I got transferred to the dining room and someone picked up, but was having a conversation with another person. Almost took them down to 1 star. What a difference 10 months makes. Please check out my prior review to understand the downgrade in stars. So..just about everything I put in that 5 star review is no longer true. Price is now $14.95. No drinks are inclused except coffee and water now. Service has declined more and more each visit. Now I have talked this place up pretty good. Brought my girlfriends, brought my out of town friends, my family. Im kind of embarrassed lol. Usually when u are seated the server explains what's included and how it works. Tickets on the table if you want a made to order omelet. I havent seen any omelette tickets the last 3 visits. Didn't mention what was included at all. $2 now for hot tea. Buffet selection is 1/4 smaller and food was not fresh. Hardest biscuits I ever had. When things ran out, they replaced them alright. Grilled lemon peppercorn good chicken replaced with warmed up chicken legs. Did they not think we would notice? I literally had no silverware and had to go find some myself. My girl went and got the water pitcher herself because where is the server? Dirty plates left on the table. Had to motion the server over to clear and she asks if I think they want their knives? Today was not their day. I've been to Brandywine on several occasions, and today I was greatly disappointed. They typical have a better selection of fresh food. The champagne chicken was delicious, but was replaced with what seemed to be reheated fried chicken. Very distasteful. What a poor ran club. This club needs to be sold to someone that can actually run a club. They had an event last night and the bar was just serving drinks and not ringing them in so if you want free booze this is your spot. Food was a disaster. First visit checking out the restaurant, which is open to the public. Had lunch at the bar. A decent variety of choices on the menu. Kept it simple by ordering the 1/2 club sandwich and one of the soups of the day. The sandwich was superior. Brioche bread toasted perfectly, bacon fried crisp but not burned, subtle smokey flavor to the turkey and the tomato had homegrown flavor. The soup was a creamy chicken, sausage chowder nicely seasoned and flavorful. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Looking forward to going back to try the lamb chops. read more

My family tried the Sunday brunch for the first time today. Definitely the best brunch in this area for a couple of reasons. For only their second weekend, the staff was firing on all cylinders! They were super friendly and attentive throughout. Some of my favorites in the huge spread of options included the fresh fruit, mushroom raviolis, carved turkey and prime rib, and cheesecake bites with assorted toppings. The restaurant is clean with big windows looking out to the beautiful greens. The brunch has something for everyone. For only $12 a person, it's even more of a great value! Other restaurants in the Perrysburg/Toledo area better watch out. I have heard the dinners are just as great and you don't have to be a member to eat here. read more

Friends invited me for brunch at Brandywine Country Club today. We were seated promptly with a reservation for 7. The server greeted us promptly and served drinks. The brunch was middle of the road. The stand-out was the handmade crepes with your choice of filling; and the eggs with cheese. The fish of the day was over cooked, the waffles were make your own and none of the desserts were fresh-made. The brunch is $18/person and I think a few adjustments can make it well worth it. read more

Very disappointing. We tried the brunch yesterday for the first time after hearing good reviews. It wasn't good the food was old and tasteless. My made to order omelette was the wrong order. I didn't send it back because after seeing the quality of it I didn't want one the cheese wasn't even melted . The dessert bar seemed to have pieces of like a Birthday cake on it which seemed odd? The only thing that we all thought were good were the made to order crepes. Overall very disappointing experience. Won't be back. Be alerted that there is a new menu at Brandywine. I haven't been there since the Stay at Home Covid order. My friends and I played golf there today, so some of us decided to try it for lunch. The outdoor courtyard was beautiful. The service was fine. I wish I could say the same about the food. All three of us had a bad experience. I got the pulled pork sandwich on a brioche bun. I took my first bite and almost gagged. There was a huge piece of fat. I couldn't chew it and it was too big to swallow. I had to apologize and pull it out of my mouth. From then on, I opened the bun and ate what I could see. There wasn't even much pork there and the sauce was mediocre. There was even more fat and what pork was there was mushy. The brioche bun was ordinary. I complained to the server and I was not charged, so that was good. My first friend got the chicken salad. When the plate came, there was no more than a 1/3 of a cup of chicken salad. There was a small cup of fruit and appetizer slices of a baguette that looked stale. She also got iced tea and her bill was $19 for a small amount of food. My other friend got the turkey club. The turkey looked spoiled. She pulled it out of the sandwich, because it didn't taste good. We were very disappointed in the new menu, but also the fact that the food was just not good. The prices have also gone up. No more deep fried shrimp dinner either. It is an uninspiring menu with higher prices. We won't be going back and we all went there regularly before Covid19. read more

What a difference a few months make. I was also pleased with my first experience of Brandywine's Brunch Buffet, however, what I experienced just a few months ago is also no longer true. The place I once considered the best Sunday brunch in the area, could not get much worse. Although the price was still the same as the first time I went, $14.95, no. drinks included except water and that was hard to get. The service I experienced this time was so terrible, that I would not recommend the buffet to my worst enemy, and yet I mistakenly took my wife there for her birthday. I was so embarrassed, because she truly deserved better. As seniors who made a reservation, no one was prepared for us. If fact they tried to seat us in another room, far away from the buffet, when there was plenty of room in the place where it was situated. Other than asking for our drinks, the server never explained what was included, or how it works, and showed up only when called. No tickets were available for omelets, nor was there someone to make them, while leaving some to wonder, if they should cut their own meat. Most noticeable, was the buffets selection, which was less than half of what I had grown to expect for the price, picked over and hardly appetizing. Three different types of scrambled eggs, some kind of French mush, bacon, sausage, scalloped potatoes and green beans, along with turkey and prime rib. There were biscuits and gravy across the room, perched on top of a bookcase along with soup and salad, that were apparently an afterthought, because very few people even knew there were there. In fact, wish there were some of that Grilled lemon peppercorn chicken that Summer had talked about in her critique, because remembering the variety of foods they once had, I was not satisfied. I literally had flag people down to get water or anything else that was needed, and it was only then, that they took care of the dirty plates. Deserts too were in another room, but they were not worth the trip, and nothing to write home about. I too could go on forever, but as it stands, to quote Summer in her 2017 review, "this ain't it anymore" and I would not recommend it. Moreover, with a buffet this bad, why would anyone want to try Brandywine again during the week, when there are places out there, who are not resting on their laurels, with those who might truly appreciate the business, and better serve their customers. read more

My husband and I went to brunch today and I can't say enough good things about Brandywine. The food was amazing. Buffett style, but tasted so good. Our service was great too. We never waited for refills and our waitress was very pleasant. My husband and I had previously discussed joining here so we walked the premises. It needs some TLC but the staff was great and the price cannot be beat anywhere in Toledo. The pool appears perfect for children with good hours and has a snack bar. 2.5 stars I went with my family to Brandywine to try their Sunday buffet. The price is $13.50 and drinks are not included, unless you get coffee, tea, or water. Cons: The scrambled eggs and sausage/eggs was bad. Really bad....not edible at all. Looked like it had been sitting in the pan for hours. The OJ was horrible. My dad commented to the waitress about the OJ and she said "yes, it is bad." If that is the case, why are you serving it to people? I ordered an omelet with green peppers and onions. It came out dark brown and shriveled up with no taste to it. The cheesy potatoes were mushy without much taste to them as well. The dessert table left a lot to be desired.....dried out donuts, rice krispy treats were among the desserts. Pros: Wait staff were somewhat pleasant. The dining area was clean and spacious. The crepe and pancake station was really nice. The meats were all very good. The biscuits and sausage gravy were also pretty good. The fruit salad was fresh and tasty. The French toast wasn't bad either. Judging from other reviews, I was prepared to go straight to 5 stars. Not the case....unfortunately. I will go back to give it another try. Easter Bruch was disappointing, not worth the money. Called a head to make sure there would be items available that we could eat since I am Gluten Free and my husband has an egg white allergy. Was told by a manager there would be an omelette bar and many other items we could eat. No omelette bar, asked about it and was told oh we aren't having it today. They however did offer to make my husband one with just egg yokes it came out with just 2 yokes no veggies, cheese or meat. The beef had to have been made hours before it had the green shine to it. Had to beg for coffee refills and then only got one. So basically it was $20 plus for a horrible omelette and a greasy bacon. Thinking we should probably cancel the Mother's Day reservations that we have. BTW the rest of the group was excited for the crepes (which we were told would also be open) but I guess it was decided since I talked to them last week that it would be closed also. I have a group that plays golf once a week and we try to pick a new course each week. It's been 15 yrs since I've played at Brandywine so we gave it a shot, now that the public is allowed to play. Wow, what a disappointment. The course has a strange layout and the tee boxes and fairways were in horrible shape. Not to mention the grounds crew who would just go back and forth the fairway...while we were on the tee box! Not a course we will go back to, sorry. read more

This place is a joke. The restaurant needs an overhaul. The interior appeared dirty, the staff uneducated in proper service and the food was mediocre at best. Not at all a pleasurable dining experience that we were hoping to share with our out of town guests. We were seated next to what appeared to be a storage area with sinks and chaffing dishes on the floor and boxes of supplies balancing on top of one another half covered with tablecloths. Our paper menus were dirty and torn. We ordered a bottle of white wine that was placed on our table with the cork in it and with the foil hanging off the neck of the bottle. No taste, no pouring, no chiller- not even offered. When our food arrived it wasn't the correct: the steak on the steak salad was overcooked. Another salad was served without the chicken requested. My husband ordered a steak that was delivered overcooked and his dinner salad was forgotten and served after the meal. I was served a tuna salad when I ordered the tuna entree. Our server was new and trying but blamed everything on the confusing menu and buttons on the computer. We were offered dessert, which was very nice. We ordered coffee with our dessert and were surprised to be served coffee in mugs of different sizes and with various bank and business logos on each. This is ok for a greasy spoon diner- but not a restaurant within a country club. When the cream curdled in our coffees, we could only laugh at the entire experience. The icing on the cake was that we decided to go to Brandywine for the music on the patio. Seems like a great Friday night out, right? There was no musician on the patio. They had a very excellent and wide selection of specials and there pricing for drinks was very reasonable. Went the other day with friends and had great food. Linguini and shrimp in a lemon sauce was excellent, lemon was not over powering and the shrimp were tender. Another had the fried perch and it was good also. The aged beef filet was excellent the only down side was it came out too rare and had to go back for more time on the grill. My wife said it was worth the wait when she started eating it. Definitely would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for that. The service was very good. We will be going back!!!! read more

The food here is beyond horrible I recently attended a wedding and our entrees took almost an hour to get to the table. Once the food finally got to the table it was cold not even luke -warm. Last but not least the food was garbage the chef really must have no training in fine dining or in any dining for that matter.
