Once she reappeared, she took our order and the food came pretty quickly. My client ordered the superfood salad which she said was amazing and it was of size that she couldn't eat it all. I chose the less healthy option, Cajun Chicken sandwich which was very good. Seasoned well and hand cut fries which were cooked to perfection. I give the rating of 3 mainly because of the wait. It was lunch hour and most people don't have hours to spend. Sure, some people may have been stopping in after being on the golf course for a bite, but clearly we were on a business lunch considering we were dressed up with papers and such. I would go back just not when I'm taking a client for lunch.

We opted for a cash bar, pizza and ice cream. Our guests were delighted with the various pizza options all made there. The chef even proved a beautiful and most delectable gluten, dairy, soy, and egg free for two of our guests. We had an area for mothers of infants and toddlers as well as an area to enjoy the warmth of a big beautiful fireplace which our southern guests especially appreciated. Truly everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. We can wholeheartedly recommend PVCC's food, beverage and atmosphere all of which reflect a cordial staff. The seasonal decorations throughout the building added to the festivities!

The waitress immediately took our order, 2 white meat chicken dinners. The wife ordered french fries with hers and I ordered cole slaw with mine. The order took about 10 to 15 minutes to cook and we also had a salad while we waited. The salad was lettuce and shreded cheese. I asked if I could buy a tomato to go with out salads but was told no problem they would bring us some for no additional charge. She quickly brought back a large bowl of fresh cut tomatos and a bowl of crackers, pretzels and bread and butter. Next came the chicken, 2 huge chicken breasts and 2 large chicken wings. The chicken was lightly breaded and was excellent. Exremely hot and very tender and moist. The breading was just right. This place is known for it's great chicken, breaded tenderloins and other sandwiches. The locals were extremely friendly and had us join them in the conversation. The waitress/bartender was extremely attentive and very pleasent. When we left the locals asked us how we liked our dinners and asked us to come back and try the tenderloins next time. This place was a great place to have a dinner. The total cost for 2 dinners with salads, bread, coleslaw and french fries with 2 drinks was $20.00 which including a nice tip ($5.00).

As pretentious as they are, you can't deny the luxuries of a country club. You pay for what you get…read more- premium service, 5-star facilities, and a no-jeans policy (I always hated that!). My family became members of SCC when I was 6. People can tease me all they want about my hoity-toity upbringing, but I can't deny that the country club played a huge part in my childhood. Tennis lessons, pool activities, Sunday brunches, 4th of July fireworks, wedding receptions, bar mitzvahs. All of it was great fun! Growing up, I always dreamed of having a house as grand as SCC's clubhouse. I am still in awe of its classic design to this day. The pool is bustling every summer with children activities and the tennis courts are well-maintained. I'm not a golfer but according to my parents, SCC is one of the top 3 courses in Toledo. The ballroom is home of Sunday brunch and private receptions, the mixed grill on the lower level is for casual dining, and the 19th Hole is bar/lounge reserved for golfers only. All in all, the grounds are beautiful (I'll upload pictures on my next visit), and the club remains as classy as it was 20 years ago. If you are in the market for a membership, SCC is the best club in the area.
