As I did the whole dang thing cooking last year, this is my year of rest. Online orders only. $125 for dinner serves 4 including dessert. Sounds good to me. Confusing curb side service that you have to go in for ? But sweet staff inside that did help carry the grub to the car. Came with heating instructions. Thanks! Ham and turkey are above average. Now those veggies... Im not sure they put any seasoning on those carrots or green beans. And I know they didn't cook them long enough. Who knew there are white carrots? Anyhow, the veggies with exception of mashed potatoes were not good for me or my Sis n her husband. Now those dinner rolls were magic. Put them in the oven or like 3 minutes, poof up to delicious yumminess. So 5 days post Thanksgiving still lots of leftovers to freeze or throwout? Im still debating. read more

When we got into our golf carts at the start, the old man, I think his name was John, already had an attitude and was rude to us. He was loudly complaining about the other coworkers and the tee times that were lined up. We let it slide and kept moving on, but when we got to Hole 3, our cart started sputtering and wouldn't go up the hills all over that side of the course. Because we were in the way of golfers behind us and there wasn't an easy way to get out, we decided to push the cart with us and wait until we were in a clearing for the employees to easily get to us. We called the front office and they said they were bringing someone out, absolutely fine. Of course and unfortunately, it was him that brought us a new cart. Instead of being compassionate and apologetic for the physical effort we put in, he was already angry and blaming us for hitting the cart somewhere or not driving right. He then sat on our cart as he continued to blame us, started driving for half a second, then said "It seems to be working just fine." I was so insanely fed up and defiantly argued with him that we just had to push it up 3 different hills to Hole 6, it's obviously not fine. He shakes his head in annoyance and begins to drive again, now realizing that as he's driving longer, the cart is sputtering and needs to be pushed to the office by another cart because it will not move on its own. Absolutely enraged us and ruined half of the experience. I made this account specifically to complain about this man. This was more than just a bad day, it was a lack of respect and complete unkindness in what's supposed to be a fun, friendly and calm environment. He needs to be removed from customer service. Horrible food found something that looked like a pubic hair in my food. Horrible facilities can't tell where the fairways and rough is. Staff sucks they don't have a clue what service is. The guy in the pro shop was super friendly and interacted with my son very well which was nice The course is in decent shape for this time of year we only played nine holes and had 3 fun holes to play that had huge elevation changes that were fun to play but the others were very easy heck I shot 4 over which never happens for me the beer cart girl was nice and the prices were surprisingly low for golf and drinks but you can't take carts to car to load and unload which is weird to say the least and when I pulled to side the cart guy grabbed while we still had our drinks in them and I think a couple balls then when I asked about where my cart went he responded owe ..... do you want me to run you back to get your stuff I was like no that's your job and left I won't return read more

Wish I could give it 0 stars! This course is a complete and total piece of shit! If you hit a ball just 1 or 2 feet off the fairway your in at least 6 inches of rough. We never saw anyone working on the course. Even the grass by the clubhouse was high and not taken care of... To top it off, when I first got there, the first thing I was told is that I needed a collared shirt, so I had to go to Walmart to get one. If this course was immaculate, I would understand a dress code, but it doesn't make sense to have a dress code for such a shitty course, especially when there are many other very nice courses like Eagle Landing, The Legacy and others that don't! read more

Horrible condition. Not worth the money. Bunkers unplayable. Tees are abhorrent. Whole place is a dirt pit.

I called in advance to ask if they had a military discount and they said they do they charge the same price as the seniors. When I arrive they informed me that the military discount is not valid on the weekends. Also the course is sub par for the first nine, but the back nine are very nice for a public course When I was there the place was packed. I was either waiting on several different groups to play or had several groups waiting on me to play. I felt rushed because of the number of people on the course at one time. If you do a walking nine it is $17 or $11 if you're a student senior or military member. Because across the street is much nicer, though it is slightly more expensive. It also seems like there are less people across the street at the other course. read more

Dropping to one star. Started us on ten because they were doing work on the front. Ok. Got to eleven and there was a convention of guys and four pieces of equipment directly in front of the green. Nothing cleared within 200 yards (an iron for me) so we picked up and took a par. Then we started encountering branches and debris in play all over the place. Rough was cut way too long. Bunkers were infested with massive colonies of bees. And they are for the most part hard packed dirt, not sand. One blended right into a cart path. Dirt, gravel, asphalt, whatever. All part of the bunker. Tees were not always located where the card indicated. The tees on 5 were moved, yet the sign was not. The tee box on 5 is a sloping mound of dirt. The card claims hole 4 is 306 yards from the whites, but what they don't tell you is that they abandoned that tee box and you are actually hitting from the 376 yard blues, which entirely changes the strategy on that hole. That is a 70-yard error card vs. reality. The strategy for hole 4 is actually short iron, long iron, putt or chip and putt. But 376 changes that. Not what the designers intended or the card indicates. It's one of the few true short iron/long iron holes in town. But they moved the tees back to 376 and failed to mention it. That tells you how much they care. Whatever the slope rating is, that means the tees. The ponds stink. The green on 16 has a section that you literally can't put through. I can't describe it because I have never seen a green this bad anywhere in the world. Small patchwork sections of dead turf that failed and were left. Disgusting. There is clover everywhere, including the tee "boxes." It would be in terrible shape for a municipal course in a poor county in rural America. I played it on a coupon for almost free. I suggest they figure out a pricing system that lets them actually take care of the course. Pick up the branches. Plant some grass. Restaurant was closed at 1:00pm, so it looks like I was saved from the food, based on reviews. That was Toledo's signature course once. It's time for a USGA audit of this course. If they can force Stone Oak to cut trees, they cab force Heather Downs to pick up branches, cut the rough and stop lying about distances and tee locations. Heather Downs is now challenging Fallen Timbers for worst course in NWO. A race to the bottom. Update: No wonder. It was sold in Feb 2023. Don't expect it to get better. Write it off. Like the losses the new owner will write off. The condition of this course should be a FELONY! read more

Why is everyone working here not happy? ProShop lady was rude. Pro or whoever was not pleasant to our group at all. Tee times backed up. Play was so slow with nobody regulating play. Greens slow and grass was flowering on them. Disappointed in course condition. But it was like $35 for 18 and a cart. Would love to see this course revitalized and not go down hill any more then it has. Not from the area so won't be making the trip again unless a lot of changes are made. read more

6 hour round on a below average course. No rangers to pace play. Avoid and go somewhere else unless you have all day. 3 group wait at the turn and no hot dogs. No cart girl. NO FUN! read more

I am truly and utterly disgusted with the quality of this course and hospitality of its employees. Course ranger assumed we were playing extra holes even though we clearly playing twilight golf... had to yell at him because he kept his air pods in. Cashier assumed I was on drugs. I guess it's Augusta National or something because they made me buy a musty ass pro shop golf shirt because I was wearing a t shirt even though half the staff was wearing wife beaters. Great semi private course. No problem with pace of play. We only played the front 9. The clubhouse staff was very personable and welcoming to the two of us from out of town. Greens were well groomed. Watch out for 4... killer drop but we were forewarned. Would definitely return. read more

This place had a decent golf course. Not great. But ok, but the service was absolutely unacceptable. They wouldn't let me golf in a group with my friends and split us up and prohibited us from playing together. I would not recommend this to anyone who wants to play with groups. Also they didn't let one of my friends eat a muffin the he bought from the clubhouse in the clubhouse. They forced him to eat it outside in the extreme heat. read more
