Once inside, you will immediately get the speakeasy vibe with the moody and dark decor, as well as the period appropriate lighting and seating options. There's some small intimate areas, as well as a main bar, a side seating bar area, and a back area with tables and chairs. I would recommend reservations. You can pick the bar or lounge when making reservations on their website. From the moment you enter, you will get terrific service. The host was great and we were early for our reservation, but we were seated at the bar as requested. As soon as we sat down, the bartender greeted us with waters and a sample of a bourbon punch. The entire visit was filled with very attentive staff who were always friendly and knowledgeable about the offerings on the menu. The drinks are well thought out and very good. The quality of the ingredients, as well as the flavor profiles work well. It is very difficult to pick from their crafty menu. We tried a total of 4 drinks and all were delicious. Highly recommend the Papucho - such an excellent mix of flavors that are well balanced and a very unique flavor. Honestly, not sure you will find one drink on this menu that isn't delicious. They do offer a menu of various foods. We ordered the octopus and the roasted monk fish. Both were fantastic. The servings are not big so be prepared to order dental dishes or just come with the intention of not getting a massive meal. They are good portions for a small dinner or think tapas. Founded under the principles of Benjy himself, this club meets weekly to discuss world issues. Rather than being all la-di-da-di, this is a gathering of males (who often bring women) to discuss worldly affairs - not the billionaire boys club that we're used to. The two times I've been, the found was outstanding. The upstairs bar/library is quite neat (did I just say "neat"?), while the dining room feels a little bit more along the colonial lines. Either way, if given an invitation, go. Once you're there, you'll learn a lot, both about this dwindling club and its principles.

A single, small elevator--furnished with a small love-seat bench, which seemed slightly unnecessary and space-stealing for the limited number of floors housed in The Acorn Club--brought us to the second floor and its dining room. The Acorn Club's dining room is absolutely beautiful: especially the blue, damask wallpaper and the glittering chandeliers and wall sconces. The table seats and cloth napkins (both shades of dusky rose) were luxurious to the touch and the table settings were impeccable. Food-wise, the appetizer and dessert stole the show. The butternut squash soup was piping hot, creamy, and delicious--very similar to the version my mother makes for holidays. And the chocolate-and-vanilla mousse garnished with milk and white chocolate shavings was perfect (as was the almond lace cookie I may have also sampled). Meanwhile, the main course of (dry) chicken and (overdressed) salad was only so-so. Service-wise, the servers was a little surlier than you might expect in that setting, but for one of my fellow diners a polite and slightly apologetic response for putting her water glass too far to the center of the table seemed to break the ice enough to allow the server to seem less resentful. Perfect place to get it out of their systems instead of the couches at home! The staff was very attentive and had the kids attention when giving instructions. The room where the party was held was clean and decorated. The girls working our room were on top of everything. Making sure we had plenty of plates, napkins, etc. They had the pizza slices ready to go and cut the cake all nicely. The staff were great! The only thing that was a bit of a downer was when the birthday girl got into a harness swing and the kids yelled Happy Birthday to her. A lot of the kids expected to go on the swing and got upset when they couldn't. Other than that it was a great experience and something different for us!

They kept the children safe and organized, which I appreciate as a parent. The space appears very small from the outside, but is spacious once you get through the main hallway. They have a great variety of bounce and gymnastics equipment as well as a "party room". I would definitely explore hosting a party here or attending classes or camp.
