We had my daughters baby shower planned for January 25th...the day we got at least 8 inches of snow. Needless to say, we needed to postpone the shower. Deb Basile helped us with a new date and luckily there was no snow on the new date. Shower was perfect, and that had a lot to do with the staff. Thought we would try the restaurant again after years. WE tried the restaurant, and nothing has changed: still very poor service (got our drinks 20 to 30 mins after we sat down, food after about 60 min's), my 8oz burger was so well done it was like a piece of shoe leather (Asked for MED rare) and my wife's Grilled Shrimp Tacos came out all soggy. Sorry, nothing has changed. So, if you like WELL done and Soggy food this is your place. Told the waitress about the food and never saw her again until we got the bill. ALSO asked for water that we NEVER received. IT's a Beautiful place, wish they could improve their service and food. A Little overpriced but the restaurant is beautiful. read more

Went to this club for Sunday brunch. The food was fantastic and the service was awesome!! Debby our hostess was very pleasant, attentive and accommodating. The grounds of this place with it's setting are amazing. You do not have to be a golfer to go here and enjoy. The outside seating view was breathtaking. I would highly recommend this club to anyone. I highly recommend this pub and restaurant. I was there to play golf with friends but after golf I stopped in for a beer, they have IPA's and a good selection of drafts. I have eaten at many different club pub's before in the area and many different states. The food they serve here is unbelievable, I highly recommend the burgers with fries and homemade pickles. We were so excited to come back to Spring Hollow with the new chef and he did not disappoint! It was great to see a combo of old Marley's treats with Spring Hollow standards (poutine and loaded fries - delish!). Service was wonderful too. The ladies really treated our kiddos special. The only recommendation would be to have at least a short drink menu and maybe a few specialty cocktails. Overall an A+. Can't wait to come back! read more

We met friends for brunch on Sunday. The day was perfect. We were seated right away and the server was very attentive. The food was amazing!! I had the smoked salmon benedict. Perfectly done. Bottomless Mimosas as well. Everyone at the table enjoyed the food and the weather. Debbi was amazing as usual, coming by to see if everything was done to our liking. Arrived for dinner on a Thursday night. Was greeted right away and asked if we had a reservation. when we said no, the hostess/manager scolded us and gave us a card with the phone number to make a reservation in the future, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. ordered food, waited 40 minutes for it to arrive, and my husbands chicken sandwich was burnt to a crisp. asked the waitress to send it back because it was black, and she apologized and did. when she came back she told us it was supposed to be that way because they can't cook the chicken all the way through without burning it. also brought him new fries which were overcooked. then insulted us by taking $3.40 off the bill. I didn't ask for a discount and would've preferred. nothing over $3.40. tried to message the restaurant through their facebook page and there is no option, so I commented on a Facebook post, which they deleted. don't go here. the staff is patronizing (I'm looking at you , hostess/manager) and the food is awful. read more

I went out with friends to enjoy their company and we wound up leaving early because the one lady wouldn't leave us alone, harassing us about different promos going on. It was really disruptive and annoying. Drinks were good, bartender was funny & quick, food was average/fine, we just had burgers & such, server was sweet and checked on us often, and the building is gorgeous inside. The course is decent, hard to judge condition right now with the weather we've had, but if you ignore soggy and some swampy bunkers (it's been pouring lately) it's a well maintained public alternative if you're bored of your home club, but I'd skip hanging out after. read more

We held our fundraiser here. Food was amazing. Deb and Jen were amazing, so accommodating, and made lots of suggestions that we did not think of. We had some planning challenges, and the weather did not cooperate the day of the event, but everything worked out. We had a very successful fundraiser, and our guests were very impressed with the location. We took over every inch of their facility since we had such a turn out and were at max capacity. Went for the Mother's Day Brunch buffet. When making reservations we were told that a party of our size (6) couldn't be seated until 3pm which was ok. We get there and are seated, wait staff was very nice however the food at the buffet was ice cold. Not just one dish, everything. Everything looked as if it were sitting out all day. Food was not replenished much by the time we got there. When we told them about the situation, they did go and put new burners under the food but at that point the food was so cold that it never did fully warm up. I don't care what time someone is seated, the food should be exactly the same at 9am or 3pm in the afternoon. Just because it's coming to the end of the day doesn't mean the folks paying the same exact amount have to have less quality food. $40 a person is a lot of money to pay for ice cold low level foods. This facility has done very well in the past to the general public. However, this is Covid-19 time era in which circumstances are different. Reservations are being made, but promises are not kept, contracts are broken and not met and this all due to this is a business....they are out to make the mighty dollar....but forget their bread and butter.....the general public. My relative's contract was not met and refund was not returned.....blame it on the Covid-19 easily....but no.. Spring Hollow Golf Club refused to return our hard-earned money...in today's times that is a mortal sin. I will ensure that all my friends/relatives are aware of this facilities practices during Covid-19 = "out to make a buck" and forget everyone else. There are other facilities that care about the general public...Spring Hollow Golf Club is not one of them!!! read more

Rating the Golf Course based on the Price!!!!!!!! The golfing rates are going up to $66.00 dollars per round NOT worth it unless you like really bumpy greens, more rocks then sand in the traps, and a VERY short course that plays over 5 hours on the weekends. WAY over priced for what you get, was a great place before the new management came in. The new management Kick all the leagues out to start their own, that had been there for years. They raised membership over 140%, daily golfing rates over 25% to go along with everything else. read more

This is a seasonal review... We played in February! The pro shop at SHGC is a welcoming, albeit small room with a modest selection of equipment and gear. Most of the clothing offerings have the course name on them, which is nice for those seeking souvenirs, but can be limiting for golfers seeking manufacturer branded merch (such as Titleist, Calloway, etc.). The gentlemen at the counter greeted us with a smile and even hooked us up with free hot chocolate (after my request for coffee was denied). He was very helpful and we were even happier when we were told that it would only be $27 to hammer out 18 with a cart. Nice! For February, the course was in terrific shape. The tee boxes were lush, as were the fairways and rough. The sand appeared to be rock solid, but upon playing out of it, it actually gave way pretty nicely. There was even a bit of snow in some of the bunkers, which is quite an oddity when you think about it. We were half hoping we had the chance to play out of a snow mound, but fortunately (or unfortunately) that never happened... "Throw me the Snow Wedge, Merle!" Arghhhh. Anyway, the only thing we had modest issues with were the greens. Some of them were a wee bit rough in small areas, but again, it's the middle of winter, so the fact that you could even hold a true putt is quite remarkable. Course was in OK shape, but pace of play was a bit slow. We were stuck behind a foursome that was part of an outing and incredibly slow. We were told the ranger would move the pace of play along but really didn't. Ultimately, that was not my main issue with the course. When we made the turn at 9, I returned my golf cart, and walked into the pro shop to tell them I was taking a new cart since the brake didn't work. Rather than just let me take a new cart, the Golf Pro or Manager, decided to tell me I didn't understand how to work the brake and proceeded to tell me that he would show me how. As someone who has probably played a thousand rounds of golf in his life, I don't need to have it demonstrated for me. Rather than just replace a cart that was broken, he proceeded to take the cart from me, and lecture me on how it works. Then, when I told him the brake doesn't engage on anything than a flat surface, he proceeded to argue with me and started driving it on a hill to get the brake to engage. The fact of the matter is the replacement cart I obtained worked perfectly fine, but being told that I am somehow incapable of operating the brake on the first cart is infuriating and then having a member of the staff fight with me over the fact that it didn't function correctly is unacceptable. The irony is that I was considering this venue for a function, but based on the way I was treated, and that the person behaved in the manner noted is apparently the person in charge, I'll never give them business again in the form of golf, or any other kind. read more

Spring Hollow gift cards which my wife and I purchased for each other to play golf in the fall of 2019 are apparently no good. These cards say nothing about an expiration date.I had used mine to play in 2019 but we didn't use them at all in 2020 due to Covid. Went there this year and they have been cancelled out. This is a pretty lousy way to treat us (or anyone), as we had been going there since 2005, both to golf and to sit on the porch to eat and have a drink or two. No call back or return email from the manager after the new pro said no-go. So our money is in their bank but we can't use the cards to go out and walk the course as we normally would. Apparently customer service isn't high on their priority list. read more

Spring Hollow has amazing food, staff, and ambiance. The view is great, Debbie is extremely helpful with banquets as well. Every single question I had she answered quickly and kindly. My sister just had a bridal shower and everything was set up beautifully. Jenn the banquet captain was awesome as well, and the serving staff is polite and meticulous!! Stick with burgers and you'll be fine. A group of us attended their New Years Eve dinner. Although we had reservations for a table of 9, they squeezed us into a table for 6 max. We waited 45 minutes untill our cocktails came. We ended up going up to the bar. Took over an hour to get salads. Appetizers were cold. I had ordered medium rare Filet which arrived as a more than well done piece of beef jerky. The 'replacement' was completely raw inside. Just terrible. To be fair, they comped my meal & drinks but they really missed the mark with service and ability to deliver a decent meal. If they can't handle a room for New Years, with limited menu, I would definitely avoid any large scale events here. read more

We had my daughter's bridal shower at Spring Hollow, and it could not have been nicer. I worked with Betsy, who was wonderful with answering questions and coordinating. The food was delicious (guests were commenting on how good everything tasted), and the staff was gracious. The banquet room and the view of the golf course were beautiful! Went to a 50th birthday party at this location. I'm not sure of the price per person but I'm sure it wasn't cheap. We were seated on the deck which was very nice. The grounds were well maintained and overlooked what I think was the 18th hole. The weather was perfect, not too warm or humid. The party planner was very nice, and made sure everyone's needs were met. Lunch was buffet style and served on time. We had our choice of salad, mixed vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, chicken and roast beef. The salad was nice and fresh, no brown lettuce thank goodness as this is a pet peeve of mine. They offered two dressings, balsamic and ranch. I tried both. The ranch was very good, creamy with just the right amount of spices. The balsamic was ok, not a lot of tang or taste. The mixed vegetables were good. They offered carrots and greenbeans. Cooked to offer just enough crunch, but nothing to really spice them up. I skipped the garlic masked potatoes, but my husband had a serving and remarked they were gummy and you couldn't taste any garlic. He had the roast beef and remarked that is was tender and flavorful. They offered rolls for those who wanted to make a roast beef sandwich with horseradish on the side. I had the chicken and even though I had several peices it really didn't have any flavor. It was tender but not flavorful. They served several desserts that looked delicious! I passed on the desserts but they had an assortment of eclairs, choc chip cookies, choc moose and brownies. In addition, we had birthday cake. Everyone raved about the dessert! They offered coffee, tea and lemonade. The coffee was surprisingly good. (I don't usually like restaurant coffee) we did have to ask for cream for the coffee, which I thought was a little strange but maybe just an oversight. All in all it was good, I would say average, not great, but depending on the cost, might be ok for a birthday party. read more

4 friends decided to try this course for the first time and it is wonderful!. As soon as you pull into the entrance you know you are in for a special treat as the course is gorgeous and in pristine condition! The staff is so friendly and the starter was very helpful giving us recommendations and hints on how to play several of the hole. There are many challenging holes with marshes or ponds! After the round we had a delicious lunch in the cozy grill. The beers were served ice cold and I highly recommend the Philly cheesesteak, the grilled chicken sandwich, or the cheesesteak eggrolls Yum! Our waitress, Sierra,was excellent! I highly recommend the course for an outing with friends and definitely stay for lunch! read more

I'll review the golf portion, I golfed there quite a few times last year, and plan to many more this year. The course is a not very long, but is hilly, challenging and fun, and it is ALWAYS in great shape. It's a course I plan to play often again this year, because its worth the money and always a fun experience. The employees are always pleasant, its easy to get a tee time, and for 50 dollars on a weekend morning, its hard to find a better way to spend 50 dollars on a round of golf. Tilapia drenched in butter was fishy, linguine with shrimp was heavy and both were overpriced. Kids got sandwiches and that was a wise decision. You'd think a golf course would serve a decent Arnold Palmer, but both the iced tea and the lemonade were made from cheap gross powdered mixes, and the result was almost toxic. Disgusting. The have done a lot of work to the restaurant, bar and Hall. Outside the restaurant is meticulously landscaped. Really nice outdoor seating area. I went with my kids the other day and we really had a good time. We spent about a half hour on the pracitice green before we went to eat. My kids are young too (6 and 8). We all had a really good evening out there. I also golf here a few times a year. Golf is best in spring and fall or after a lot of rain (like most places). If its been dry for a long time the fairways are a little ratty. This place has a kids menu making it more kid friendly then other places. Service could be a little better but was not awful this time around. Food was great, beer was cold and I am going back for sure. Kudos to the staff at Spring Hollow. read more

We recently had Spring Hollow host our daughter's wedding and it went flawlessly. The staff were very accommodating and catered to our every need. It was a long day from hair and make-up starting at 8:30am in the morning through the reception that ended at 10:30pm at night. Throughout the day they offered food, drinks, and anything else we needed. I would highly recommend them if you need a facility to host an event. read more
