His staff was nothing but friendly. They have a very busy practice and every time I've been there they've been working with a lot of patients. There are some comments here that take the team to task. My experience was nothing like that. I wonder if our complex, convoluted health insurance system creates frustration that gets misdirected at the people who have to navigate all the different systems in order for a medical practice to exist. As well, The Elterman center is staffed by mostly Russian language speakers so I also wonder how much of the reaction is affected by our American culture which has spent decades demonizing Russians in our movies and television creating a subconscious bias to hearing the accent as harsh and brusk. This practice represents everything that's wrong with corporate medicine. All of their systems are incompetent. In the last 3 days I have made 26 calls into their system without getting through. How did I get here? I had an appointment with the doctor 10 days ago followinga blood draw. I responded to SIX separate messages asking me to confirm, to pre-register, to confirm again, etc. Because of work on the Brown line tracks I needed to walk from Belmont. I walk with 2 canes so I called to say I had an appointment with Dr. Yonover and would be a few minutes late. They said no problem. I arrived, said who i was and had a seat. They called me to say that a mistake was made, Dr. Yonover doesn't work on Tuesdays. No apology. I left because I was angry and in pain from rushing. I called to make an appointment but was told I couldn't because I owed them money and needed to talk to billing. 13 phone calls into the phone system failed to get through. "Please press 1 if you're a patient with a billing problem". I pushed it and it went back to the menu over and over and over. Called again just after 4 pm on both Monday and Tuesday and got a message that the office was closed. Left a message with the answering service asking for a return call. Did not get one. My second call today got through to billing where they acknowledged that I didn't owe any money. They then offered me an appointment a month away when I'd be out of town. I said I needed an earlier appointment. They had to get permission from a supervisor to call the office for an earlier date. They got permission and said I'd get a callback from the office. 2 hours later I gave up and drove to the office. As I parked I got a callback and made an appointment. 2 1/2 days of incompetence to make an appointment to fix their error. No apology. If I didn't adore Dr. Yonover I'd be looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Khan served as my niece's primary care physician. She was evaluated on two occasions--July 2025…read moreand December 2025--during which she reported a palpable breast lump. On both visits, she states that she was reassured the lump was non-cancerous and "likely a cyst" based on clinical examination alone, and no imaging or biopsy was recommended at that time. Following my niece's persistence after the December visit, Dr. Khan provided a referral for imaging. That imaging led to a diagnosis of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. She subsequently required a lumpectomy with lymph node biopsy (one lymph node tested positive) and is currently undergoing chemotherapy, with radiation therapy planned. Her life changed completely ! This experience raises serious concerns about whether appropriate diagnostic steps--such as earlier imaging or referral--should have been considered, particularly given persistent symptoms across multiple visits.

I went to my OB/GYN, who told me she never should have done a Pap smear while I was having my period. Thousand of dollars later after a very painful biopsy of my uterus, I found out that I was fine and it was all unnecessary because of the Pap smear during my period. I went back to Dr Wallner and told her what my OB/GYN said & the results of my uterus biopsy, and she bristled and was very irritated. She does not like to be questioned. I also went in for a physical and didn't even undress. It was a 10 minute procedure and she was very cold and short with me. I did not feel like it was thorough physical compared to others I have had previously,. No breast exam, etc. She also referred me to a terrible cardiologist, who would not listen to me. I ended up going to the ER on my own against her advice and found out I my fears were founded after an angiogram showed I had heart disease.
