We usually stay at Big Cedar when my wife attends a conference at their property. But their online reservation was down, so we decided to try Branson Cedars Resort this year instead. We stayed at the Dragonfly Dreams treehouse. Here are my thoughts: PROS - Very well appointed (comparable to Big Cedar) - Spacious for the price (sleeps 8 adults easily, maybe 10 with kids) - Super fast internet (exceeding 30Mbps) - TV in EVERY Room (including the loft, and living room) - High end appliances, smart TV, Bluray player - Push button keypad to open front door (very convenient) - Jacuzzi tubs on each bathroom - Fun amenities - paint ball, high end RC course, disc golf - Courteous and homey staff CONS - There is an $80 cleaning fee (one time, but they also clean it only once) - You have to pay for EVERY activity (25% discount if you stay) - Grounds are not as refined as Big Cedar - Jacuzzi tubs are small (I like Big Cedar's better because it fits 2 people) - You need to wash the dishes before you leave (there is a dishwasher though) - Office closes at 5PM (but you can call an evening number for emergencies) - No good restaurants on property (there is only a small rib joint) TIPS - Arrive on time (check in is 3PM) because the office closes at 5PM (or call ahead to get your front door code) - Parking in front of treehouse will fit 2 cars (probably 3 small cars) Overall, Branson Cedars offers a good alternative if you need to stay close to Big Cedar. It offers a good value especially if you have a larger group. The treehouses are about the same price as the One Room Cabin at Big Cedar (which sleeps 5 at the most). I like the high speed internet because I need to be able to work remotely. The downside is that we miss the upscale amenities and activities at Big Cedar. read more

All lies and false advertisement!! Don't fall for it! Beware !!!!!!! They never tell you it's a timeshare and then you don't even stay at the Bristol lodge they advertised. It's the shit home run down motel they put you in. It's a rip off !!!!! read more

Cabin was nice. Needs some updates but livable. Was handed wristbands when we checked in. Didn't get told what they were for. Found out the day before we check out they were for all the amenities of big cedar resorts. Just horrible horrible service. The worst part is I couldn't bring my dog. She goes with us everywhere. Then I see multiple people walking their dogs then going into their respective cabins. Just wrong. read more

We stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin in July on a Tuesday-Friday with 5 adults and 3 kids. First impressions were great - the resort was quiet, front desk staff was friendly, and the playground and pool were popular with our kids and well maintained. Unfortunately, throughout our stay we were disappointed with cleanliness many times and the Resort Manager's response to our concerns will ensure we stay with one of the many other comparable resorts in the future. Upon arrival there was mouse poop in dish rack and in the cabinet under the sink. There was also dirty underwear on side of washer in plain sight, as well as noticeable dust on many surfaces, including dressers and the tv console. The sheets on the master bed were too small and came off multiple times each night. When we notified the staff of this the replacement sheets they brought and left on the table were also small. What was most disappointing about this is that on top of our nightly fee, we (and all guests) paid an additional $80 cleaning fee for the initial clean - no housekeeping not was provided during our stay. In addition to cleanliness issues, there were several maintenance issues that arose, such as the door knob on the washing machine closet being broken and a kitchen chair being so loose it was not able to be used. At nearly $300/night, we were expecting higher quality given our experience at comparable resorts in the area. When these concerns were communicated to the Resort Manager, her replies were dismissive and placed the blame on us for not reporting concerns earlier in our stay. She offered to replace our sheets but did not address any other concerns and refused to refund the cleaning fee. Our experience will cause us to look at other resorts in the future, as there are many in the area with comparable (or better) amenities in the same price range who provide a cleaner environment and communicate a much higher value for their guests. read more

Our cabin was infested with snakes. Ringtail aggressive slightly poisonous snakes to be exact. We found two on the floor in 12 hrs before we left and drove all the way home instead of staying any longer and putting our kids in harms way. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! read more

We have stayed in Dragonfly tree house twice and thought it was awesome. It's cool that it's a tree house but it's also well appointed. Plenty of seating, gathering areas, places for different groups of people to be doing different things- which is ideal when vacationing with 4 teenagers. Oh. And plenty of TVs which is also a pretty big deal. Everything was spotless both times and we had zero issues. I would come every year. It's been 2 in a row so far. The addition of fire pit areas for roasting marshmallows was a big hit this season as well. read more

Our first visit to this resort in Branson. Incredible cabin, great views. Close enough to Branson and Table Rock Lake, but far enough away to truly relax and get lost. This is truly a hidden gem in this area. We stayed in Jimdy Kricket. Cabin was clean, spacious and felt like home for the week. Cozy and comfy, but enough space for 2 adults and three kids. Beautiful cabins!! Loved the view, and close to activities. But... Very unfriendly staff. When my fiancé went to check in the lady at the desk didn't notice him until he said something to her, then told him if he knew where it was just go. Didn't offer help, amenities, or even take the time to thank him. Management went back on their "$75 late check-out fee" and charged us an entire night ($206) because the owner forgot about her emails with me and we were an "inconvenience" to her. They refused to refund as they said it was my responsibility to remind them we agreed to it. READ THE AGREEMENT, the owners hold the ability to charge your card WITHOUT authorization or notice! Construction next door caused excess mud and debris to collect on my front step, causing mud to get tracked it, then we were told we should be charged extra for them having to clean it. On the same note, they started this construction next door very early in the morning, which woke us up. If I were you, I would skip the hassle and use another company who appreciates your stay, shows some hospitality, and cares for customer service. read more

Used this resort twice this year. First was for a group of friends from all over the country and we were impressed with the cleanliness and overall quality. I came back several weeks later to host a wedding at their venue because of my first experience and it exceeded my first. Customer service was above and beyond and I highly recommend this resort for multiple experiences. read more

We were returning guests. We had enjoyed a wonderful cabin experience our first stay in Oct, 2017. This place has a huge opportunity for training to better their customer service, experience and satisfaction. The cabin was beautiful, meticulous clean, comfortable, well equipped with easy access. However we encountered poor customer service our first stay. We decided to overlook that and assume we all have overwhelming days and not concern ourselves with a poor customer experience. We rebooked during February 2018. Several days prior to arrival the weather turned icy and we were keeping a close eye on weather and roads. We phoned 48 in advance of our stay and said the weather is already bad and predicting to get worse to make roads closed. We asked to cancel our stay and rebook for a different date. We were poorly advised we could not cancel the room because we were outside of their 72 hour cancellation policy and they had no inclement weather exception and told to call back after the weekend. We called back and left a message. We never received a call to re book and the charge went through for the stay. We phoned again and were advised we could use the credit it to rebook, however, now were required to stay 2 nights instead of our 1 night initial reservation. We understand policies and realize they are in place for specific reasons. However, not once was weather taken into consideration, no options were provided due to extenuating circumstances and we were treated as if we were a huge "bother". They are happy to take your money, but not happy to provide the service. read more

We came here for our honeymoom May 22, 2017 and planned on staying for 7 nights. We were very unhappy with our experience at the Jimdy Cricket cabin. The first night there, we were settling in and found 2 cockroaches in the night stand drawer. Then the next morning, we were woken up at 8am to construction on both sides of the cabin. We figured day 3 would be better, but we're woken up to rodents crawling inside the walls and ceiling, along with droppings under the sink and in the bathroom. They sent the maintenance man out tok lay down MORE mice traps!!!To top it off, cooking breakfast that morning, a mouse ran across the kitchen floor. Day 4 wasn't any better. We were again woken up to rodents in the walls. And we found 3 more cockroaches in the cabin! And day 5 was the worst. My husband woke up to the ceiling dripping water onto him during the storm that night. We called the after hours phone number, and were told to slide the bed over! She didnt care about us! She just didn't want the uncomfortable spring mattress ruined!!!! So we got up, put a bowl on the bed to catch the water, and packed all of our belonging. And then guess what? ..... MORE COCKROACHES CRAWLING ON THE FLOOR AND ON THE BED!!!!!!! I trapped a cockroach under a plastic cup and left it on the kitchen floor, in case they didnt believe me. Also, Nobody called us to follow up with the roof leaking. The cabin is not clean. There are hundreds of dead bugs everywhere; both bathroom sinks, tubs, and showers, Windows, every corner of the cabin, and on the night stands. Your feet turn black if you walk bare foot on the floor. I'm not sure why you are charged a fee for cleaning, because clearly it's not being done. I truly feel that they care more about your money, than customer satisfaction and reputation. I believe we should be getting a full refund, instead of a 2 night refund (and thats only refunded because we left 2 nights early). Our honeymoon was cut short, and ruined. There was nothing pleasant about our stay at the cabin. And we made the employees all fully aware of the issues. We were basically told "too bad." I would not recommend anyone stay here. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. read more
