Amazing. The flowers beckon -- the entrance to this treasure near the Barcelona waterfront is a flower shop.
Brasero Atlántico (street level) and Floreira Atlantic (the cocktail bar below) -- are both part of a new project of Alex Resnik (longtime business partner of Wolfgang Puck) and Tato Giovannoni (the world's most celebrated mixologist).
The theme here is Argentinian food with a Catalan flair. Chef Juan Vasquez is from Argentina and trained in San Sebastián. The guy is brilliant. The beef is imported directly from Argentina. The chimichurri sauce is out of this world. The empanadas -- pulled Iberian pork, ossobuco, spinach & cheese, king crab -- are the best you'll ever have. Seriously.
And then there are Tato's cocktail creations. Try the Algo Rojo. Trust me. And every wine on the list is carefully chosen. Excellent Catalan wines and a couple of stand-outs from Alex's native Argentina that he imported himself.
