The menu even made reference to eluded it was similar but when we saw the sauce on the steak we knew without tasting it, it was not the same. We ate it, it was fine but the steak was tough even though it was cooked fairly rare ( per our request) and thinly sliced. The sauce was salty; not my favorite. Despite my experience, I was surprised to see it was fairly busy for a Monday night; seemed to be popular with the after work crowd. It was my second steak dinner in Berlin and both were a bit disappointing and maybe I'm just spoiled with my steaks as I'm not used to eating a tough piece of meat as I prefer a marbled high quality steak such as a ribeye or tomahawk cut I will stick to braised meat in Germany going forward. If you go, try something other than steak.

The steak was a perfect medium-rare, and really good Bernaise. Oh the frites!! Matchstick fries, and a very generous amount! All of the food looked fabulous, and sitting outside was glorious on a summer's evening. Our service was very good, so no complaints from us. My wife has celiac and is totally Gluten-Free. This was the perfect restaurant for Celiacs...steak was safe, and they have an absolutely dedicated fryer for those amazing frites!!! Staff was aware and accommodating. I'm fact, I called before making the reservation and the chef himself got on the phone a spoke with me. Finding a safe GF place can be frustrating...here is a high-end restaurant that is safe. As a humorous aside: Entrecôte is across the street from the "Disgusting Food Museum." But don't be put off...it is obviously all in fun and makes for a good story!!!

No idea if he owned the place at one time or if this is just a love letter. ??? Service was fine, but not extremely attentive. Thankfully the place is small and we could flag them down if we needed something. Wines by the glass are limited but the one red was good. Honestly, however, feel like at least three or four options should be available. Food was a bit mixed. They do a nice table-side presentation for tartare and chateaubriand. We had a special foie gras ravoli that was loaded with black truffle, but was way too al dente and ultimately a disappointment. French Onion Soup was stellar. Tartare was good and accompanied by crispy onions. Steak was good, but chef really over-zealous with the salt. Portions were generous. Overall, it's good, but in our opinion, too pricey for return. Glad we tried it, but would look elsewhere in a future visit to Berlin.

Note that there is nothing very fancy here as they don't do haute cuisine just good French country fare. Atmosphere is a little staid, but not unpleasant. There is a good and not too overpriced wine list which includes some pretty decent claret. Service is calm, polite and quite good. You should head here with business partners or friends to sample probably one of the better French country restaurants in Berlin.

Filled with vegetables but bacon was definitely present. The sardine app was also nice, combined fried and marinated though I thought the pickled vegetables that came with it were too vinegary. If you like beef tartar you'll love their plat- delicious, sizable patty with a raw egg yoke on top, the way it should be. Comes with potatoes lyonnaise, roasted wedges with caramelized onions: addictive, crunchy and rich. The pork confit main was just a good - again quite rich, with a blood sausage, apple tart and plum mouse - an amazing sweet-savory combination. The lemon meringue ice cream is nice, creamy and smooth - I would have liked it a bit tangier but still good. The espresso was excellent as were the lemon madeleines- delicate and scrumptious. The wines are all French and if you don't know French wine it's hard to choose. The waitress recommended a rose that was half frizante, which was ok but wouldn't order it again. The service was good. Prices are more for a special occasion, though definitely worth it.

Since our expectations were really low from several Vietnamese restaurants all over Germany, it was nice to walk into Madame Ngo. Before coming to the restaurant, we noticed that it was on Michelin guide as a recommended restaurant to try. We also noticed that there weren't reservations available online until the next day so we figured that we'd roll the dice and see how long the wait is. As a group we did not want to wait more than two hours in line when we walked in, the wait was only 15 to 20 minutes for a party of four. Score!! For the table, we ordered a papaya salad and summer rolls. The papaya salad had an interesting shredded beef jerky and several slivers of Thai red peppers on top that was a nice touch. The summer rolls were deep fried, but not greasy, and you wrap them on a bed of lettuce and herbs, which gives it a refreshing lighter taste. My main entrée was the fatty brisket pho. This was the highlight of the show. They provide you with a side of two lemon slices and extra Thai chilies. All of us at the table were so happy to find so much flavor and all of our dishes from this tiny hole in the wall in Berlin. We can't wait to return to try something new next time.

The ambience is great inside, with cute decor and good vibes. The service was surprisingly prompt and attentive given our experience with other places in Berlin-- we got our food all in good time with adequate time in between to catch up with the other people we were getting dinner with. The absolute STARS of this meal were the appetizers. The spring rolls were huge and so crispy and came with lettuce to wrap it in. The server also recommended a shrimp dish that we had never had before, so we decided to try it. I have no idea what this dish is because I've never even seen it in NYC, but it was amazing-- toasted bread pieces with shrimp and a cream/cheese-like sauce. It was super indulgent but incredible all the same. The main courses were all in all good. The chicken rice was kinda like a niu rou fan (the minced pork over rice Taiwanese rice dish) but just chicken. It was an interesting serving method-- with the chicken stock on the side. I was a little confused because I wasn't sure if it was supposed to end up as a soup? But no, the rice just absorbs the soup and makes it more flavorful! The pho was a standout only because of the sheer amount of meat they gave us. We got the three beef pho (so brisket, steak, AND meatballs). I have never seen any restaurant be THIS generous with the meat. I split this bowl with my sister and it didn't even seem like I'd eaten any meat when I passed it over to her after eating half. The noodles were a little too al dente for me, but that fact was completely overshadowed by the fact that we got a. ton. of meat. We went to 3 Vietnamese places while in Germany and I'd definitely say this was my favorite!
