After stumbling around Paris with my girlfriend, enjoying the amazing architecture and art, I was excited to accidentally bump into this brewery once leaving the Latin district. The inside has a nice welcoming glow, with a shiny copper steel vat which used to brew their own beer! [see picture below]. They had an entire menu. The pizza looked great, but just stopped in for a couple drinks. They have a wheat beer, an amber, a fruity citrus beer of sorts, and one more that they were out of at the moment. The prices are great. Most of the beer was under €5 for a pint. The bartenders and brewmaster we're also very friendly. Just from stopping by for about an hour, I recommended it to a few friends visiting Paris within the next month. Definitely worth stopping by if you happen to be in the area.

    Cheeseburger and fries

I was recently in Paris for the first time. After eating here, I was surprised to see how few reviews this place has on Yelp. As a US native, I took a risk by ordering the classic American specialty, a cheeseburger and fries (I know, I'm a typical American, but I couldn't help myself). Needless to say, I was blown away. I'm not sure if it's because I haven't had a cheeseburger and fries in over a year, but this was hands down a way better cheeseburger than I've ever had here in America. I informed the waiter of this, and he asked me if he could have that in writing. But I'm serious. It's probably because the French tend to use a lot less poison in their food and a little more love than a typical American meal. I also had my first ever Creme Brulee - and it was incredible! Also, the waiter didn't throw me through a glass window when I announced that I was not familiar with French like I expected him to. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Great local place around St. Germaine. They don't speak fluent English, but their kindness & willingness to help made me not even notice I was the foreigner. Worth stopping by if you're in the area. Grab a beer or two & eat the flaky crust crepe-like pizza

Friendly staff - Nice environment! They offered us some food along with the drinks! I can recommend it!

We had the Welsh frites, which is essentially a piece of white bread soaked in brown ale and then smothered in cheese, which you can dip your fries in. Obviously it's delicious and you should eat it only once a year! Wine and beer were decent--nothing amazing. A very pleasant experience although I'm pretty sure everyone else there were also tourists (like us).

On my first day in Paris, I was dying for a nap after not sleeping on my overnight flight but 'how…read moreto beat jet lag' tutorials advocate staying awake until local bedtime. I knew I wouldn't be able to make it until my usual bedtime of midnight-ish (that's a liberal ish), but 9pm seemed reasonable. It was a chilly fall night and a pint of Guinness or two sounded like the ideal nightcap, err, sleep inducer. A quick search on my Yelp app and a brisk 10-minute walk later, I arrived at The Quiet Man. Like most bars in Paris, the Quiet Man is tiny... especially tiny, even. However, the diminutive size was far less intimidating than walking into a bar filled with loud, jovial men and only one stool to be snagged. I never took my eyes off it while waiting for my perfectly-poured Guinness and stealthily made my way over before pouncing: all mine! Over the next 2 hours, I 'met' the guys next to me several times (close proximity is a powerful instigator of friendship), pretended like I understood everyone's Fast french while nodding and smiling, was gifted a Guinness from one of my elbow-mates, and embarked on a deep and lengthy political conversation in English with a 60-ish Frenchman who had previously lived in London and Dublin (sidenote: this convo took place right before the U.S. presidential election and everyone and their far-removed cousin expressed interest in hearing my opinion). A couple of Guinness later, I was sufficiently spent. And this cool unassuming dive, like its friendly patrons, won't be soon forgotten. PS: There's nothing quiet about the Quiet Man ;)

Unbelievably awesome bar... Music downstairs, meat & guinness on top. Best bar in Paris...fact!read more

I hope so…read more This was my first stop in the Marais after noticing Cambridge Public House earned a respectable spot on "The World's 50 Best Bars" list. Will it clear up your jet lag? Who cares. Will you be satisfied even if it doesn't? I think so. Beverages: 5/5. Cocktails are on rotation and beautifully chilled (which helps with the jet-lag). Cigarette After Sex. Memorial Story. Last Chance. Stars Align. All were stellar selections, with the Cigarette After Sex capturing the essence of that unique feeling--before vapes flooded the world. I even returned 48 hours later to help numb my feet after a day spent meandering through the Marais and Musee Carnavalet. Cuisine: You're here for the cocktails, not for the food. That said, the meat pie and the sausage roll were decent. That's the move. Service: 5/5. My fellow Americans... The staff here is hella cool. They made me feel at home despite not knowing any words beyond, "Bonjour," and they were generous with refilling my glass of water. Say less. Actually, the only minor annoyance was other Americans babbling loud AF next to me at the bar. Ambiance: 5/5. Chill. Solid playlist. Dope interior. I look forward to stopping in again.
