It wasn't very kid friendly. The chicken strips were spicy and my BF's niece and nephew ended up only eating fruit and salad. They also served this pink drink that just tasted like peach flavored water. The service was great, the waiters were very attentive and kept the buffet fully stocked and cleared out tables constantly. Overall this place was 100x better than the dinner we had a Giuseppe's the night before. The area is somewhat small. the main room only sat 50ish people? and the rest of the guests had to sit in the separate room. I sat in the main room with the wedding party but my BF's family missed out on a lot of the reception because they were eating in the other room.

The club is very nice, we were treated so well and we did enjoy our time there. But it was quite a drive out there so we would go or I would go onlly 4 or 5 times a month, occasionally 6 times. The problem was, which upset me a lot, was when I got home each time from the club, I would jot down the cost of my meal and drink. The bill would come end of month and always was way more than it should have been. I would call, they would say sorry and next month was the same. There is no way they could do this month after month without the intention to shaft you. Six lunches instead of four, 2 dinners instead of one, 8 drinks instead of four. Every single month. I finally decided enough was enough and told them I was done, when I had joined, which was thousands of dollars, they said if we wanted to quit at any time we would get our money back. Now they said sorry, rules changed, club under new ownership, but when we see all our memberships, then you will get your money back. Oh ok. So a year later I pulled my file and they said we still have not sold all of our memeberships. And the next, I then asked how many more did they have to sell. They were not sure at the time. The next year, how many more, and they said the one you need to speak to is not here right now. Next, oh that information is not at hand. And then they sold again. And I gave up. Keep the damn money. Use it to fix up the golf course next time it floods and it does flood all the time. Just glad we never bought a house out there. Cannot imagine the horror that would have been. Lesson learned.Will never ever join anything like that again.

The 3 of us couldn't finish everything. Brought a good deal of the small charcuterie home. The creme brulee was very different. Good but different. A bit more salty than I'm used to and texture was different. I think that was because of the muscadine syrup they put on top. I'm also thinking that may be the cause the saltiness. That they add a but more salt to counter the sweetness of the syrup. It was super tasty though. We truly enjoyed our flights and Taylor was great about giving us little details and insights on our choices. Our favorite was the Promuse Oak and left with it, since we'd all agreed on it! One thing I love about this place is it's less than 10 minutes from Lake Naconiche. (That lake is a bass fisherman's dream) This place has great cabins and numerous RV spots. There's also a nice pond (mini-lake actually) on the premises where you can fish, kayak, and swim. It's stocked with Largemouth, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish. It's a strict C&R pond. The cabin we stayed in will house a small family comfortably. The cabins come with fully functioning kitchens (with dishes and cookware) and are kept cool in the summer with multiple air conditioners. Renee (one of the owners) is always available to answer questions or provide you with help to insure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. If you're looking to getaway for the weekend, this is the place to stay. You'll enjoy the comfort and great scenery.
