    A word of caution to anyone considering using the Masiello Realty Group. I hired them to represent…read moreme in the sale of a property in Cathance Township Maine. They were extremely friendly and seemed professional. I talked to my agent openly about what I needed to get out of my property and we had numerous conversations about what costs would come out at closing. Several of these conversations were during the time of negotiations with a potential buyer. I even requested a copy of the closing documents ahead of time so that I could review them and be prepared. They were sent to me. All seemed fine and exactly how my agent and I had discussed. At closing the documents presented to me to sign were NOT the same as the ones they sent me to preview! There was an additional 2%charge to me that was never discussed or even mentioned. Needless to say I was not happy! The charge was listed as a possibility in the contract between me and the realty company but was never mentioned anytime during our conversations, nor was it listed on closing documents that were sent to me before closing, it only showed up during our scheduled closing meeting. It was a 2% charge on top of their 8% commission so for me that was a significant amount which caused me to fall short of what I needed to get out of the property. So I caution anyone considering using them. If you think they are working for you, they are NOT! My experience with this realtor ended on a very sour note, Underhanded and Unprofessional! I would never recommend them to anyone.

As a matter of fact, we were not even in New Hampshire but inquiring about a listed property from 2700 miles away. Some people could just take our call with a grain of salt or ignore it as "sure, out west" but not Linda. From the first moment we spoke to her she gave us professional courtesy, answered our questions, and offered her research. We really liked this particular house and flew out to New England the next day to take a look. Once again, Linda was professional and prompt, arranging the showing and working with us as a trusted advisor when we wrote the offer the same afternoon. By 6pm she called us and said the sellers had accepted - an absolute successful conclusion thanks to her guidance and knowledge of the local market. After we flew back she continued to shepherd the process on our behalf, was present for inspections, coordinated with title, provided timely email communications, and took us to the finish line. Sure some agents can help you buy a house, but Linda Hitchcock went the extra mile and made it happen like a seasoned real estate athlete. We highly recommend her services and are extremely satisfied with our experience with her, especially as out of state buyers who needed someone local as our proxy. This is the kind of experience where people like her prove their value to both customers and the company she works for. Five stars!

After closing on our New London NH home, I have that feeling. When we started considering relocating in the Lake Sunapee/Mount Sunapee area, we planned an initial visit back in May. I had researched the real estate concerns in the area and after seeing Yelp and other reviews, I chose Dan and gave him a call. His knowledge and professionalism were evident from the first conversation. Once we visited, he made a thorough assessment of our likes and dislikes, got inside our heads to see what we wanted, and visited many condos and homes on the high and low side of preferences and budgets to begin to narrow down the choices. A second and a third visit followed, his expert advise and unflappable demeanor being constantly evident. Dan has an encyclopedic knowledge of the area and its amenities. We made a first offer on a house and Dan's input was quite valuable in our standing firm on our offer, and although we passed on this first house, it was for the better. A month later we closed on an awesome deal in a second house. We're ecstatic. Responsive. Professional. Courteous. Knowledgeable. And a great person to wit. He was very professional but also low pressure which made the process much easier and less stressful. I was impressed with his knowledge of house structures, land and Real Estate laws; it helped with a few hard decisions. I also liked his theory on telling him what we didn't like which helped him as much as telling him what we did. Dan was also very responsive to our communications no matter how we contacted him whether it was a phone call, text or email. Not that you have to be able to text or email him but we used all methods and he was very responsive. We visited twice and he worked very hard to line up over 15 houses each visit, coordinating the route to be the most efficient and working with the showing agent. Once my wife and I made our decision from California Dan had the technology to sign and make most of the legal paperwork happen online. He was also able to recommend a good bank, home inspectors and insurance companies. We ended up with not just a house but a home.     I will give Inn Partners two stars because they started out fantastic! They priced our Inn at a…read morefair price that both buyers and sellers were happy with. Then the deal went south, we had to come down 150k on the price. Once the deal was getting tough, I got transferred from Eben to Bill. Bill seemed to just want to get this deal done and get his commission. I don't think he even knew the price we agreed on. He went to the bank and offered 25k less. Who is this guy working for... not us! We had never sold a business before, therefore, we were at the mercy of Inn Partners to get the best deal for us. Inn partners never advised us how we transfer over the utilities, the money, etc. It was a mess. So after we came WAY down on price, the only person I was getting information from was the buyer's realtor, who manipulated the situation to favor his clients. Inn partners recommended an attorney who didn't fight for us. I felt completely alone in this situation and seriously almost had a nervous breakdown. It's been a while now, but the sellers and the bank still owe us money, however, Inn Partners and the buyer's agent are sitting pretty. They received their full commission on the total amount we STILL don't have and will not have for five years. If you have a simple sale, maybe Inn Partners is for you, however, our deal was just too big for them. We had ALL five-star reviews with our business. So I know customer service and as nice as these folks can be and I do think they mean well, for a bigger or more complex property, maybe try someone else.
