Visiting wiesbaden on business and my friends brought me here the night before leaving for a good bye dinner. We had a group of 14 and we were served drinks and food in a timely manner. The food was exquisite! We had nothing to complain about except for the bees that loved the sweetness of my peach iced tea and some of the sweeter dishes. We ate outside as it was a beautiful day. The bees were not to pesky but for anyone with an allergy it is a consideration. I will definitely return here for food when I am back in the area.

    This was a solid salad.

This place is awesome! They clearly cater to the American military crowd, have a full English version menu, and most employees speak English. Fantastic ambience... very rustic with that hunting lodge vibe. Great food, and on premise brewed beer, of course. I'll be headed back for more, that's for certain. If you haven't? You should! Prost!

Ate here back in 2002, back in the neighborhood in 2024. Good as I remember, great choice of food and bier. Friendly host and lovely server. Food was hot and out quickly. Great time with friends and family. It has that small mom and pop restaurant feeling.

If you are hungry don't go here. 20 minutes to get a drink, 40 minutes later no one came to take a dinner order. I flagged someone down to pay for my beer and asked if they knew where I could get dinner. I got a cold stare and my change. 75 minutes (another 15 to pay) for one beer. And I was directly in front of the bar and next to the server station. This place is a hard pass.

My favorite Bavarian food. Friendly staff and generous portions. Always enjoy my food here.

Wow! This place was Amazing... I went there for a goodbye dinner for a friend (55 people all together).. we had a reservation and took the entire upstairs loft. There was only one waitress and at first I worried, but wow she was amazing! She took drink orders as people showed up and took our food order as we all sat down. Now one person taking the order, delivering the food, and getting additional drink did take some time, but she was extremely proficient. Now, the food! Amazing... it came out hot and tasty... Look at the pictures and come try this amazing restaurant

Looked like a Great place in Mainz. Its a brewery also. Food, beer and restaurant was great. I only gave it 3 stars because the service was amazingly slow. It was almost 30 min just to get our drinks. The food came out randomly. One person in our party got their food before the drinks arrived and some still hadn't gotten their food when we were finished 90 min later. Just paying was an ordeal. Stand in line for 10-15 min. This was lunch so maybe dinner service is better. I wanted to like the place and come back with friends but after this experience, i won't be back.

Fantastic typical German food & brewery experience in Mainz, Germany. I wish I could have come here during the actual Oktoberfest celebrations, but our visit was great nonetheless. Our waitress was awesome, spoke decent English, and ensured we had the English menus. The beer at this place is heavenly. I had two of the big mugs of beer, and the beer is so delicious and such good quality that I didn't even feel like I had that much. Of course, no German dining experience is complete without eating Schnitzel, which is exactly what I did. I went with the Jagerschnitzel option, which is the Schnitzel with a mushroom and mushroom sauce topping. I got french fries on the side. Other members of my party got the chicken, the pork knuckle (AWESOME), and the cordon bleu. All in all, a fabulous time at Brauhaus Castel. Loved the service, loved the food, and loved the decor. Highly recommended!

We just mlved back to germany and we wanted some good german food. A friend recommended this place. Its a little bit hidden. I ordered the schwienehaxe and my wife ordered the rouladen. My schwienehaxe was awesome and huge! I barely ate a third of it. My wifes rouladen was a bit too salty for her. The food came out very fast and service was good. One thing we didnt like was that they charge a fee for a togo box. This and the salty rouladen made it drop a star.

Made a large group reservation. Staff accommodated without issue. Food and drinks kept coming out throughout the evening cooked to order. Food was seasoned well and the seasonal specials looked pretty good too. There is parking available and on the road adjacent. This is a large and sometimes loud establishment. Good for couples and large groups.

This was the fish my frirnd had . She loved it

My favorite brewery in Mainz. The beir is so tasty that you'll want to buy their take away beirs! They serve large portions of food for a reasonable price. This place is usually packed. I love the service here, each experience I've had coming here has been great. I've yet to have a bad meal here. If you're in the area looking for a good brew or a meal, this is the place to go

Service was friendly and prompt. Food is excellent. The rump steak, schnitzel, and Nurnberg sausages will bring us back for another meal.
