In den 30er Jahren wurde hier vom damaligen Wirt August Mahlow, meinem Großvater, die Beelitzer Spargelabsatzgenossenschaft mitbegründet. Diese hat wesentlich zur Entwicklung und dem Anbau des Edelgemüses in und um Beelitz beigetragen und den Namen "Beelitzer Spargel" weit über die Grenzen hinaus bekannt gemacht. Im Jahr 1953 wurde von den Behörden der DDR der Betrieb der Gast- und Landwirtschaft zwangsweise eingestellt. Erst 1991 konnte die Familientradition fortgeführt werden. der Gasthof wurde, nunmehr in der 9. Generation, wiedereröffnet. Von April bis Juni wird natürlich Beelitzer Spargel serviert. This is my first review on Yelp. I have been more of a lurker here but now I need to write a review…read moreas part of an assignment. Which assignment you ask? Well, that's a secret. I came here with bunch of colleagues after an event. It was a good place overall that offered a huge variety of beers. It also had a nice deodorant in the bathroom that I made good use of. Everybody in my team enjoyed it. It's a shame I didn't come here before as it was walking distance from my house. Anyway, here is a pic for you. This might not be the best pic but it's the only one I could find where I was not completely wasted. Someone in our group was sensible enough to take a pic before we started drinking. That's one of the reasons I decided to review this place actually.
