I absolutely loved this place. Braum's reminded me of an old fashioned burger joint that serves ice cream treats. The burgers were huge and the fries were hot, what more could you ask for? Oh wait, they even have an in-store shopping mart! That's right, you read that right. It is literally a one stop shop. There was plenty of seating and self-serve condiments. The staff is very helpful and friendly. This is exactly what Texas needs more of. read more

So Braum's is a drive-thru restaurant, an indoor counter order, take a seat restaurant and ice cream parlor and grocery store with wonderful dairy items and many flavors of local dairy ice cream. All in one and done well. Good burgers and fries, chicken sandwiches and even good breakfast till 10:30 I think, serving great biscuit and sausage gravy and breakfast sandwiches and some of the best old fashioned ice cream and ice cream treats around. So it covers a lot of bases. We often go for a meal and a good but somewhat limited grocery experience and take an ice cream treat to go. Yummy! read more

Worst Braums ever. In drive thru. They made and gave us our drinks and then we had to pull up and wait on our food. The finally came out after about 5 minutes or so and said they forgot about us and were just starting on our food and it would be about 7-10 minutes. read more

When this Braum's gets it right.. .it's one of my favorite places! Killer burgers! A huge menu of different types of burgers, hot fresh patties, fresh veggies (and I always tell them to pile them high), and I love the crinkle cut fries like when I was a kid! Even the hotdogs are awesome! Nice and fat, with chili and mustard! Sometimes I even cheat, and get the chili, and go home for instant Frito Pies! It was a perfect escape from "crappy drive through"! As someone else said, they made the very best in "good, old fashioned greasy burgers". Every once in a while, they get lazy. Instead of a killer burger that's fresh, you get something limp and cold... and the buns are smushed... it's Not Good. I mean this is Braums. You gotta sit down. You gotta wait. We understand that! Now take an extra 5 minutes, and serve me a killer burger! Yeah, they staff is mainly high school kids... but these are some of the best employees in Decatur (usually). And there's ice cream! I like the Orange Sherbet! Make it a single scoop in a cone, and usually you get a double! That alone would keep me coming back!! Plus, non-hormone milk! Some of the absolutely best ice cream around. No question the best milk shakes anywhere!!! Food is well, fast food, but the produce is excellent and prices are pretty good. But seriously after leaving this area for 2 years when you come back for a visit it's a wonderful treat to swing in for a milk shake. There is no comparison, all other places talk about hand spun, etc etc and these guys only use real deal ice cream and doing it right there. There is no mix crap, just ice cream and milk. Well ... they get a 3 because their shakes and ice cream are awesome. Oddly they have a stocked fresh market (small fresh grocery store) with all sorts of dairy, fresh veggies some by Braums. Diarn, Fruits, Meats ... oh my. The burgers are ok. Their fries are OK. Nothing to write home about there ... so back to the ice cream products. :) ... now there's the wow factor. That pulls their score for me up to a 3... 3.5 if I could. Cool store model. Half grocery and half fast food. Very interesting. I would stop by again if I was near one. read more

Burgers are consistently good, the crinkle cut fries are great, shakes are usually good, but occasionally they won't mix it for long enough and you'll need to grab a spoon and do it yourself, but that seems to be a rare occurrence, and saving the best for last the ice cream is marvelous! read more

We were traveling on Christmas Eve to visit my grandparents in Oklahoma so we decided to take a break for some food here. The restrooms are awful and not taken care of. One of our salads we ordered looked fresh but as soon as we made it to the middle it was obviously not made fresh. We later go and reorder the cashier was friendly, nice, and loved the costumer from him. But before he's able to help us at the register the assistant manager raises his voice at him in front of everyone. George the assistant manager was obviously rushing to get things done and in order but was handing it well. After raising his voice to the cashier he sends the cashier to go do something else and the assistant manager George comes to help us out but keeps his gloves on and goes back to the kitchen we're he originally was making it cross contamination. read more

Who brings a dog (other than a service dog) into a restaurant? smh. Braums has better pricing and far superior quality food than other places. Their ice cream is sooo good. Definitely try the peppermint. Just wish they were in Houston. The only thing that needs improvement about this place is the restrooms. I also love that the combos automatically come a shake or soda. I am so surprise no one has done a review on place. It has been here for years aand its off the freeway of US 287. So I will be the first. It's Braum's an ice cream place. One that has really good ice cream at a fair price. Juicy made fresh burgers and crinkle cut fries. They also shakes, chili, and breakfast. So considering that I live in Dallas and make my way back to my hometown of Wichita Falls. I'll make sure to stop for some good food. I recommended you y'all do the same. If you are in the mood to spend $2.19 for a terribly small "double" dip sugar cone that is far less quantity than a normal single dip cone, then this is your place. Jason is the rudest fast food worker I have ever met in my life. I've had to deal with him several times but this one takes the cake. I literally have never felt so disrespected in my entire life in a drive thru. I pull up to the speaker and wait for quite some time with no greeting, and the screen saying "rebooting". After about 3 cars line up behind me and still no greeting, I go ahead and pull up to the window and there he is. He argued with me that it wasn't broken(it was) and made me pull around wait through the entire line again to order 1 ice cream cone. UNACCEPTABLE behavior. i'm going to continue going because I like the ice cream and everyone else is always super nice, but I will be leaving a negative review on all forms of review sites and media for this and every future occurrence I have to deal with him. Service was slacking. Food was barely edible. Burger was drowning in mayonnaise, the 4 cheese burger has nothing but meat and cheese, and the fries are cheap frozen krinkle kut fake fries.
