If i could give this company zero stars i would. One star is WAY too many for this horrible moving company!!!! I just moved with them last week and the move took ALL day and multiple pieces were damaged not to mention some of the doorways and walls at the original house! I have attached a few of the pics of they damage this company did during my move IN addition to the hinge screws left in one of the movers masks!!!! PLEASE avoid this company at all costs unless you have unlimited income and do not really care about how your items are moved. Update: now they are saying that my furniture was damaged before they moved it and they are not responsible for anything. So now I am left with doing the repairs to my previous house and fixing / purchasing new furniture to replace the damaged! This has been the worst experience and I strongly advise everyone to go. Braun Moving - Movers Near Me - Owings Mills, Maryland

What a terrible experience. I should have had a sense about the day we would have, when the movers had trouble backing up the truck and the beginning of the day. While one of the movers saw our place and suggested it should take 4-5 hours (which is what it took to move everything in the first time.) We ended up spending time with our movers for 8 hours. They were incredibly slow moving everything out of our apartment, with one of the movers explaining that this was a new crew and they did not know how to load things into the truck properly. We asked them if we should wrap furniture with additional shrink wrap, but they said they would use towels. They did not do this for any of our furniture, which we only noticed on the other side. When they arrived at our home 1 mile away, they again had trouble moving the truck. They carelessly brought items into our house. Leaving scratches on most walls and a number of the ceiling. They also dented two steps and chipped many wall corners. We made a list of 6 scratched pieces of furniture. Worst of all, they broke our dining room table leaf making it impossible to use the table. At the end of the job they tried to charge us $1800 for 9 hours of work. While this was already an overcharge (it had not been 9 hours) we were very upset about all of the damage to our property and our walls and floors. We also felt that we should not be charged for their inability to load and drive the truck. Boris basically gaslit us, telling us that these things happen and that it was not as bad. He insisted we pay for all of the extra time. He also did not deduct the deposit from the initial invoice! We told him we would not have it and told him we would like him to come file a claim with insurance for all of the damage. He said he would discount our job $400 if we stopped contacting him. I guess some kind of bribe? We felt stuck wanting this terrible day to be over, but also needing someone to address the damage. We paid and tipped our movers, but now will need to pay significant more to buy a new table and calk and paint most of the walls in our house. Boris was unkind, unprofessional, and still has not agreed to come file an insurance claim for our damaged property. If he is insured, I do not see why this would be a problem. We sent him pictures and he still has not responded. In short Braun damaged our house, and our property, and overcharged us for at best their lack of experience, and at worst simply because they are dishonest. Boris should really be ashamed, and I hope he will come out before we need to file a lawsuit for some of these damages. Shame on this company. I sincerely hope they will change. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. They scratched all our furniture, broke our table leaf, and scratched our floors and walls. In addition the movers were not professional and did not cover our furniture properly to prevent damages as repeatedly asked. Now we need to pay out of our pocket to repair our table leaf, repaint the house and refinish the floor. The owner, Boris, told us the movers did a wonderful job. Braun Movers is the worst moving company. They charged for time not worked, they took my credit card and processed unauthorized charges, they broke my things, they did not put things in the rooms or floors where they were told the things should go, they did not complete job, and they did not wear masks or take any precautions regarding COVID 19. Once I complained, I received constant harras phone calls, obscene voice mails and text messages, calling me an American C... and other names. I'm having to get a restraining order. Plus they processed payment anyway. You will regret using them so don't even consider it! These are not good people. They moved us 2 weeks ago and we are still digging thru the huge pile of boxes they just dumped on our garage. Many, many valuables broken- furniture, china, antiques, even my pc. Many of these things I had set aside to move myself, but the lowlife named Roman who said he was the manager of the job insisted he could move the fragile items and he would wrap them and be extra careful. What a nightmare. The dishonesty goes all the way to the top. Igor the owner I finally reached couldn't care less about the customer. His wife and son are even worse. On the move day around noon one guy left and was replaced by another guy who I don't think even was an employee. Funny thing was he worked harder than anyone. By evening they added another guy and his girlfriend to the team. Yes, his girlfriend. What a seedy operation this is. And to top of off, they fraudulently charged my bank account. I signed nothing and in fact wrote to the man supposedly in charge and told him that he did not have my permission to charge me. Roman harassed me all the next day. The owner vehemently denied knowing who was sending me obscene and threatening texts and calls, until I pointed out that it was the same number that the movers had called me on the day before. I am using every means possible to get this company out of business. Do yourself a favor and don't use this family of thieves. read more

I agree with the review that stated giving a one star rating is too much. We didn't have a lot of items to move (one bedroom, family room, living room and some misc. pieces). It took them four hours to load the truck and would have been more if I wasn't helping. After the truck was packed, they thought it would be a good idea to sit in my driveway and smoke pot. We got to the storage place and they were unloading one small item at time. It took them three hours to unload. Again it would have been longer had I not helped. Like the other review, they damaged two tables beyond repair. When I called the owner, he told me everything was blanketed, which it definitely was not. The owner proceeded to send me the contract that you have to sign off on to have them move things but offered no assistance to rectify the situation. I haven't moved in 28 years but I should have looked up more reviews before selecting this horrible company. When you speak to a business owner and he doesn't even comment on his employees smoking pot and driving his vehicles, it is pretty unnerving. Horrible moving company!! They drink while working. The owner's son had what looked like an AK-47 but it was actually where he stored his vodka and drank it while he drove the moving truck! They break things, they just throw boxes and furniture around, they ruined an antique piece of furniture, two tv's, dishware, glasses, they knicked most of our wood furniture, they moved things that were clearly marked storage to our apartment instead, and things marked for the apartment ended up in storage, they took a million smoke breaks, the owner, Boris, wasn't there to oversee the move, he just showed up to collect his money. read more

First the good: the movers were hard working and on time. When I scheduled the move, I told the representative details about what we were moving: the number of rooms, square footage, big pieces of furniture, and number of boxes. However the moving van wasn't big enough to fit all of our furniture! My second complaint is that the movers weren't very professional--I had also told the representative how many floors were in our new house--and whenever the movers had to take a piece of furniture to the third floor they groaned and rolled their eyes (and the only things going up to the top floor were a couch, two chairs, a coffee table, and a tv). read more

Terrible Experience! Regretfully all good things come to an end and sadly one of those is the honest quality customer service at Braun Moving which has been replaced by greedy business practices and poor quality workmanship. I can say this because this past experience was my fourth but last time using Braun Movers. They arrived late, overcharged for several items (to the tune of 45% ie: $775) , they left several pieces of furniture (beds & desks) incomplete and improperly assembled and the worst is they hid the missing pieces in and among the stacked moving boxes, disregarded instructions on what and what not to take - regretfully 2/3 of the staff didn't speak English so that probably added to the problem. Moving is stressful enough - do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Make moving easier not harder. Not having honest company makes it a nightmare! read more

The three men that come to move us were GREAT. Top-notch workers and very nice. The only problem was their work orders were not correct. They came to our house, but the order said they were moving items from a storage unit to our new house. It said NOTHING about moving our entire two-bedroom + basement house. We had asked for a quote based on packing up our 1300 sq. ft. house, then going to the storage unit to pick up 100 sq. feet more, then deliver it all to the new house. The three guys thought they were just moving the 100 sq. ft. storage unit (which made no sense because they came to our house first.) Anyway - I just felt sorry for the guys because they thought they had a light day, and they said to do the work they did (in 8 hours) they should have had 4 men (would have been done in 6). All that said, the guys were really great. They were meticulous. very careful and very pleasant. The office just needs to get things straight. I see on the reviews here that this is not the first time this has happened. I definitely recommend them, but would ask them to carefully go over the estimate and triple check the work order! read more

They seemed nice until the end of the move. I guess they were tired of working so they put all of the labeled boxes on the wrong floors and threw everything else in the garage into a 12+ foot pile that we can't even reach. Concerns were expressed and we refused payment until we spoke to the owner. One of the managers, Roman, texted my mom and called her a c*nt and told her to "fu*k herself until she dies". Cannot believe someone would speak like that to her. Also..they charged her anyways. Do not use this company unless you like to be called names and threatened. read more

This was our first time using a moving service, and we weren't disappointed. Three energetic young guys showed up at the crack of dawn and worked tirelessly, with only quick water breaks, to move our stuff out of two separate apartments. My apartment has 50 stairs leading up to it, but the team was unphased and hauled boxes and large furniture items up and down cheerfully. They even went the extra mile by fixing my broken desk (broken well before they showed up) and breaking down and putting back together our complicated bed frame. Was totally impressed by their work ethic, attitude, and finesse. Would recommend. read more

Braun moving was fantastic. They moved us on a very hot Baltimore summer day. We moved from one home to another within town. They were on time in the morning, and finished the job both under time and under budget! All three of them were quick, nice, professional, and polite. They did not leave a single scratch or dent to any piece of furniture or to either house! They were also able to successfully transport some pretty vulnerable pieces of furniture without any issues. Some of the old reviews here seem totally off base, based on our experience. They were very clear and up front about the cost of travel pre/post move which is relatively standard among movers. Also, I asked, and any old issues w personnel were totally rooted out. It's so hard to find a moving company you can trust, but Braun is one of them. Quoted 350 for travel time they chose not to disclose that was only for the trip to the apartment we were moving from we then had to pay another 2 hours of labor for there trip to the apartment we were moving to so all together it was about 570 for travel time if they were more clear about the 350 charge just to get them to the starting point we would have chosen a different company. We had called and asked for a move of a 3 bedroom townhome and a 2 bedroom condo. The movers were unprepared for that and didn't even have room on the truck for the contents of the first place (we had moved much of it on our own, so it was less than the typical 3 bedroom unit just the heavier items we could not handle). The three men, led by Tim, were strong and efficient with their time, but unprepared for a long day of moving. We had provided snacks and a cooler full of Gatorade, which they finished and then told us they needed us to get more (on a hot day they were not even prepared with their own cold drinks nor grateful that we had provided so much - we did go out and get more) They did not offer to return to the houses and get the remaining things - we ended up moving it ourselves over two more days. Towards the end Tim kept telling us that this was a "big" move and they were not prepared for this much lifting (no one in the office had asked specifically about how much we had other than location and number of bedrooms). He was also very heavy-handed with asking for a tip, and when I offered $120 he said it was not enough -- just unprofessional imo after we had also spent $50 or so on food. They worked for 6 hours and 10 minutes and charged us for 6.5 hours. Everything did get moved and packed on the truck well and their assembly/disassembly of furniture was very well done. I just won't use them again because of the lack of preparedness for the job we had requested and lack of professionalism. read more

We had to make a move from Baltimore, MD to Atlanta, GA. From the beginning to the end we had a very good experience with Braun Moving. Exceptional customer service and very reasonable rates. We had to add some more stuff in the last moment and change moving date and they were very flexible with us. They came, packed and loaded everything and delivered and unpacked everything in our new Atlanta home. Nothing was damaged or broke. Hired Braun to move household 11/24/2015, including 52" Sony flat-screen tv. Paid $100.00 extra for special handling of tv. During transit, the inner screen was cracked all the way across rendering the tv useless. Their driver, Ali, admitted they were responsible and said their insurance would replace it. However Boris at Braun said not responsible for tv but when I mentioned the extra $100.00, he said insurance rep would come by to assess damage and cover the loss. I contacted their insurance broker, Steve Adler at T.A. Cummings and he too denied coverage initially but then said any damages would only be covered at $0.60 per pound!! I paid $100.00 extra for special handling and wound up with nothing! Only reason for 1 star is because you can't post 0 star! Telling all my real estate broker friends of my experience. read more

I have used this company twice with great results. Quick & professional service. Third time should've been great but it was not! In the past two moves, I had two men move me each time & they were fast & efficient. Not this time! It took 3 men over 8 hrs to move me from a one bedroom apt to a two bedroom apt. It seemed that they were purposely taking their time so that they could charge me more money. To put icing on the cake, they had a nerve to ask for a tip stating they don't make much money. What???? I would give it 5 but, that was quickly ruined by my girlfriend's experience. Yes , as the other reviews have said, they are quick , efficient and strong. I don't know if because she appeared to be alone or what, one of the movers decided he wanted to harass her and called her on her personal number because he had it on the filing paperwork. He even text her with lewd messages and continued to try to contact her even after he was told to stop and needless to say, she will never use that company again. They were on time, professional and super quick-- they moved a two bedroom apartment in about four hours! They bounded up the steps in the walk up like they were no big deal. The movers were on time and quick to accomplish the work, but overall the experience was not one that I'd prefer to repeat. There was no professionalism. They complained and groaned about taking my sofas out after I had previously explained that the stairwell was difficult and one of the sofas would need to be taken out over the deck. They did not use anything to wrap or cushion my furniture which led to a few scratches as well as bending the lock on my wine rack. The communication was lacking as well. I also don't appreciated being asked for a tip when the job was not up to par. read more
