We had branches leaning over her property as part of this work. They removed all the cuttings. It was a great experience working with them.

While I wasn't watching, they removed major healthy large limbs and stripped the tree of its leaves saying, "That's how photosynthesis works." No, it works via the leaves, as we all learned in 6th grade. We were shocked. Neighbors stopped by as they, too, were shocked. Our beautiful, healthy 40 foot tree died soon after. We agreed I would not pay him for killing our tree. I later read trees like this can increase home values by $10,000. To this day, I remain sickened by what happened and wish I would have sued for damages. We wanted twigs/thin dead branches removed in our back yard trees, too. This is a row of trees. Instead he cut them so each tree extended the same length into our yard - something I was not at all interested in. I cannot tell from the other reviews but maybe they used them for tree removal only. They might be good for that.

I used Dean Schaeffer's services, Local Tree Tech, for almost 1 year. He nicely performed some…read moretree trimming. His snow removal the winter of 2023-2024 was performed maybe 3 times because of the lack of snow needing removal. I had paid him in advance for the winter snow removal. That was a mistake that I shouldn't have made. Dean told me that he was going to compensate me for my large advance payment for snow removal that became unnecessary by pruning 2 front yard arborvitae and a backyard area arborvitae hedge for free. His performing that work kept being postponed by him. Then after 5 grass cuttings he decided to stop providing services for me claiming we were even up. Of course, we weren't since my arborvitae weren't pruned. Their pruning will have to be performed with another party. So, disappointedly I have lost money using his incomplete services. My mistake was that I trusted Dean. If you should use his services get everything in writing and don't make an advance payment to him. Make payments as the work is performed. Sadly, I can only give him 1 Star.

Timmmmmmmmmber!!! A…read morefriend once told me my town has too many trees. I ignored him, but in hindsight perhaps he was right. MTE came to my rescue twice. The first was a ginormous River Birch that was within 6 inches of my house (sagging over time). Not a job for the DIYer. MET brought an army and the right equipment and made that beast a memory in about 5 hours. In addition, they pruned branches from 4 of my other trees. The arborist did in minutes what would have taken me days. My neighbor got some firewood out of the deal. The second was a problem Box Elder (multiple trunks near the rear property line corner) that decided to drop a trunk on my shed one day and one in my yard the next. MTE came to the rescue and removed that beast one and all in quick order. My neighbors can now sleep in peace. They also took out a tree in my front yard that had been quiet quitting for awhile. From the very start these guys were the best. Getting a quote was quick and easy - they came out to the house the same day I called. On the day of the removal - they showed up on time with a crane, a semi-truck, and loads of equipment and workers. It was all business - they knew what they were doing - it took under 3 hours to complete the job - lifting sections of this huge ash tree over the yard and into the street to cut up and haul away. Everything was professional and expertly done - I would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to anyone who needs tree work.
