I hired them to renovate my bathroom after Luis told me they had a licensed plumber and an amazing tile guy. Well, the plumber and tile guy were one and the same and the day they were starting the tile, they opened up a brand new tile cutter out of the box and started reading the instructions. They used a piece of cardboard as a spacer, so as soon as it got wet, the spacing started to get funky. I also laid out a mock-up on my kitchen table of how each row of tile was to line up that they completely disregarded after the first wall was done. I came home for lunch one day and they had installed the bullnose upside down! They also used the wrong blade for the tile cutter because all the cut edges are raggedy. I'm going to have to pay someone to redo most of it one day, which will involve me replacing the expensive Italian tiles. Aside from the horrible tile work, the window casing looks like it was put together with scraps of trim and they painted everything with a roller and didn't full nail holes before doing so. They also damaged the new tub when installing the drain and damaged some tiles installing some fixtures. The drain line to the sink was installed too high, so until we can get a plumber to come in and repair it, we had to bend the metal and tape it all together temporarily just to get the drain to open and close all the way. Finally, we keep finding set screws on the floor and fixtures keep coming apart (faucet handles will come off in your hand, towel bars come loose from the wall, etc). I never pick the cheapest contractor but Luis and Antonio assured me I'd be pleased with the final product. It looks like I did it myself and I am not handy! read more

We were trying to paint thinking our walls were drywall, then we realized they were plaster and that we were in over our heads. I was having a hard time finding a reliable, reasonably priced contractor to renovate my kitchen. My nephew recommended "BraUSA", a construction company led by Antonio and his son Luis. I heard horror stories of contractors that started work and left without finishing it. Antonio was there from the beginning to the end; and he was available on the phone whenever I called. Initially, I had a vague idea of how to renovate my old kitchen. Antonio's suggestions were simple, easy to understand and cost effective. Every item in the kitchen was chosen by me, from the cabinets to the sink and faucet to the floor. Antonio charged me for labor and I paid for materials and everything else. The old kitchen had to be removed completely. Antonio demolished and removed all the old cabinets, floor, sink and appliances; upgraded the electrical panel, bringing it up to code to support the newly installed appliances. I got a completely revamped kitchen, with beautifully remodeled floors and cabinets, upgraded plumbing, freshly painted walls, and new appliances. I am very happy with my newly renovated kitchen. A noteworthy thing to mention is that Antonio stuck to the timeline and finished the work on time as planned. When my neighbor saw my newly renovated kitchen she said: "This is a gorgeous kitchen", and it really is! Antonio and Luis are honest, reliable, and simply trustworthy. I have now hired Brausa for several projects. All very different and all done quickly efficiently and expertly. They rebuilt my front brick steps which are now better than the originals, they did a small job fixing some outside spouting and they removed an old tub and installed a new tiled walk-in shower. They are always prompt and responsive. I know that if there is a question or a problem, Antonio will make himself available immediately and the question gets answered or the problem solved. Our home needed a paint job and most of the window and door trim needed to be replaced. I spoke to many painting services, but BRAUSA was the only business that carpentry services. The team was very organized and cleaned up at the end of each day. A worker would show up at 7:30 and setup for the rest of the team that would arrive around 8. My point being they are extremely organized. They were hard workers and would only stop for lunch, which they had in our yard - did I mention they took their lunch trash with them? We are very pleased with the quality of work. They went above and beyond - they painted the front fence (which needs to be replaced soon). The worker reinforced the fence posts by driving metal posts into the ground. Cannot say enough good things about Antonio and his team. read more

We originally engaged Brausa to paint our building (3 family Victorian) in 2020. Here are all the pros: 1. They gave an estimate (along with a couple other contractors that we requested info on) that was reasonable and clear, and also attached their license and insurance so that we didn't have to ask. While we were assessing the options, we saw their sign at a house in another part of the neighborhood and spoke with the owner, who had only good things to say about their work, and the building looked great. 2. Although we decided to go with Brausa, we postponed until 2021 due to the pandemic, and we asked them to schedule our work at a specific week when one of the owners would be away with their newborn baby, they were very accommodating. 3. When they started the work, Antonio emailed us with a reminder, and also told us in person that the entire crew was fully vaccinated, and would also wear masks. We asked to add on a pretty significant carpentry project to replace dormer shingles (where rainwater water intruding) on our very steep 3rd floor above the eaves, and also some storm window replacements, so his son Luis also helped with ensuring that some details of the requests were clarified. They happily took on the added projects. 4. The crew spent a lot of time doing prep--scraping very thoroughly, replacing all the rotten wood, and filling in cracks, including all the window trims and the balustrades on the porch that were at the end of their life. 5. They paid attention to the doors and trim, including staining as appropriate, and suggested using one color instead of using the 2 different shades we originally had for a more consistent look. 6. We also had some smaller, random requests, which they were kind enough to take care of. 7. They paid attention to any rain forecast and did not rush through by painting when there were rain projections (in contrast with the last painting contractor we used), which happened A LOT this summer! They were good about communicating with us to make sure we knew when not to expect them. 8. They worked steadily when weather permitted, including during the awful stretches of 90-degree days with high humidity!! 9. The crew members were always friendly, and made sure to put masks on when we were nearby or when we approached them. 10. At the end, they cleaned up around the house very thoroughly, including shutting off the water hose in the backyard they were using to clean brushes. 11. The diligence, skill, and pride in their work show--the house looks solid, well-sheathed, and beautiful. They even offered to come back and touch up if we find a need. Cons: All the cons were not caused by Brausa, but due to weather delays, and finding that the building had a lot more rot over the years and through some water leakage, which increased the materials/labor costs. In summary, all the owners were very pleased with the quality of the work, the level of communication, and the way the building looks. We plan on using them again for other projects, not only for painting. read more
