Food is great. Service is excellent. And the place was pristine. I would be back to try the other dishes. Sorry I forgot to take pictures.

I have always ordered the quail, which comes with two quail in souvlaki sauce, salad and French fries. You cannot go wrong with their menu though, as everything is so delicious. We also get an order of tatziki, which is served with some of the best "grilled bread" ever. Which might sound dramatic, but it is so simple yet so good. If you're looking for a dessert, order the baklava. It's perfectly sweet, and full of nuts and goodness. Service is quick and everything is made to order so it comes out incredibly fresh.

The meats were covered with gravy reminiscent of a demi glace and missing one of the most important component in Greek cuisine involving gyros, where is the tzatziki? I guess since this is a French town tzatziki was off limits. The food tasted more like it was served in a diner. Generous portions? Yes, overall flavor, meh to ehh with no head nodding in the affirmative that I will return. There was no pita as well, how can you not serve pita with a gyro? Great service and the waitress checked up on us to make sure everything was OK. I guess I'm used to the greek/Mediterranean style preparation we have in the U.S.

The food came out in the lovely traditional clay pots that got us all excited. My tagine chicken was well marinated and came with chickpea over couscous with saffron sauce that has prune, candied orange, olive, pickled lemon which makes the flavor so unique than other Mediterranean food I had in the past. The dishes came with choice of dessert and mint tea as well so it was such a good deal. Out waiter was polite and attentive. I highly recommend this place and plan to revisit if we are in town again

Not only which cuisine to choose from but where to go out of the touristy area as there are many neighborhoods. We were quite pleased with our selection at Bistro la Goulette. The walk took longer than anticipated from the funicular but we ventured through sections of the city viewing night sites such as Fontaine de Tourny. The menu was filled with salads, typical falafel platters & other main dish with lamb, fish & vegetarian. The decor is lovely & staff so attentive & friendly. The delicious meal was topped off with hot mint tea & sweet baklava. Visit for lunch or dinner in this attractive neighborhood of Quartier Saint-Jean-Baptiste.

I opted for the prince's couscous which had lamb and chicken, she got the pastilla. We also got some Moroccan mint tea. The tea came out pretty sweet, like a southern sweet tea. But the mint was fresh and tasted great. Unfortunately, we had to suffer through some fairly loud and high-pitched Moroccan music while waiting on our food. I'm sad to report that my food was basically reheated leftovers. I heard the microwave door slamming and could tell my chicken was definitely reheated because it was dry, hard, and not warmed all the way through. The couscous itself was fresh but wasn't fluffy-- it had enough wetness to it that it just wasn't right. My wife got the pastilla, a new dish for her. It was probably the freshest-made item, but not her thing since it was basically ground chicken and parsley in a pastry dusted with cinnamon and almonds. The wife was our waitress and she was sweet. She spoke very little English, so her husband translated from the back of the restaurant. The husband running the restaurant was snapping green beans and dropped one, I watched as he picked it up off the floor and placed it into the bowl with the other beans. The issue for us is that he seemed to have very little care for his restaurant and his customers. In all, we would not return.

It was definitely not on the list for tourists as it was only half full when we got there, and everyone but us were local (speaking French). We had not planned or even thought of a Moroccan restaurant while in Vieux Quebec but (spoiler) we were very glad we did! We ordered the mixed sampler for appetizer, and a couscous royal and lamb and artichoke tagine. The appetizer was excellent! A mixture of clearly homemade items, all of which were delicious without exception! The lamb tagine was excellent, as was the couscous. Both were hearty plates infused with subtle spices leading to an excellent result. Better than most places I have eaten in Morocco. Like most Moroccan restaurants, alcohol is not served. However, customers are welcome to bring their own. As for the main courses, both were outstanding! If you like Moroccan food, or want to try something different and delicious, this place is for you!! Very reasonably priced, intimate interior atmosphere, and highly personal service by the wife of Redouan the owner/chef, Khadija. Highly recommended!! 5/5.

Maybe it was just that night but I wouldn't go back for a romantic dinner. We started with drinks. Pooh's dad (Andre) and I had Bloody Caesars, Pooh had a beer and Marie a house cocktail. The cocktail was too floral. Our Caesars were great. For appetizers Marie and Pooh had mussels, Andre, a Caesar salad and I had the French Onion soup. Andre's salad was a good size; Pooh and Marie enjoyed their mussels and my soup was very tasty Before the appetizers arrived a panier of warm bread and buns with a delicious olive oil and parmesan cheese sauce was brought to the table We ordered the Table D'hôte. Marie, Pooh and Andre had the fillet mignon and I had the bavette (flank steak). The cook on the steaks varied. Pooh and I ordered medium-rare; Marie ordered medium and Andre ordered medium-well. Pooh's steak was medium and my steak was medium-rare at the thinner end and very rare (almost blue) at the thicker end. Pooh, Marie and Andre had a baked potato without any butter and I had french fries. We shared two bottles of Italian red wine which was an excellent choice for the steaks. For dessert we had the brownie with ice cream. The brownie was dry - we needed the ice cream to help get it down. Pooh, Andre and I had a Brazilian coffee to wash everything down. Marie was driving. The service was excellent. Our server Édouard was very attentive; always checking on us. He was pleasant and had a friendly smile. Our glasses of water were always filled without us asking. The bathroom was unisex.

Should've trusted my gut Food took ages, Courtney was STARVING and getting emotional. Her pasta was crunchy (sorry but that means RAW) and my burger tasted like it came from a packet. Not what you expect when you're paying these prices. They didn't have oat milk so Courtney couldn't have her iced latte and that basically ruined the whole evening. She sat there saying the "vibes were off" which as her mother I could immediately tell was TRUE. Staff were friendly but a bit too laid back if you ask me. This isn't a festival, it's a RESTAURANT. Won't be rushing back. Courtney says she's "never eating here again" and honestly I stand with my daughter. DO BETTER. -- Sharon x

We didn't have a reservation but the sweet man who greeted us found us a table very fast. This is a family owned business and you can tell how much pride and love they put into it. Both of the owners explained all the dishes to us and were so helpful in making our decisions. We started with the lemonade which is house made by their own mother every day. It had a different type of sweetness to it, almost like it was made with honey instead of sugar but I really enjoyed it. We also got the Trio of Salads which were so good! A few of them were a bit spicy but nothing we couldn't handle. They also kept the bread coming which I never hate! We also split the Tuna Brik and it was amazing! For our mains we had the Honey Lamb which was covered in pistachios. The lamb fell right of the bone and was so tender. We also tried the Ojja which is more of an elevated Shakshuka - dipping the bread in the sauce was a highlight at the end. Overall, this was such a unique meal with wonderful flavors. The owners service was the true stand out of this meal. They really do provide a wonderful experience for all of their guests.
