Parking is reasonable, and it is well lit. It is accessible. They have an active discord page. PRICES: very reasonable for everything. Prices are listed with tax included, so you know exactly what you are spending. Lots of snacks and drinks. Bathrooms are clean. Thursday's are the busiest for MTG commander, Wednesdays are really good for board games and they have a selection to play with. The 'regulars' are friendly, helpful and new players are welcome.

The store owner greeted me amidst the cheers of a successful die roll. He was friendly and welcoming, encouraging me to look around and let him know if there is anything he could help me with. Located East of Tomball, well before the railroad tracks that marked the unofficial entry into the town proper. The store has a large parking area with nearby food (Artega's Mexican Grill and a Subway) across the street from a local high school, (Concordia Lutheran). The store is small, but has several fold up tables for games. The selection comprises a large Warmachine and Hordes selection, Pathfinder RPG books, the latest Magic the Gathering booster packs, along with dice, and some dice bags. A selection of drinks and snacks are available for purchase. His inventory is small, but he informed me that he is going to expand it soon. I'm always happy to see a new game store open and the community enjoying it so quickly. I have hopes this new store will endure the difficulties that come and thrive and grow.

Customers: The customers and gamers that shop at Atomic Hobby Shop are really great. A lot of subject matter experts, if you will, that can help answer a lot of questions about the different games, strategies, painting/hobby tips. Employees: Nice, polite and come greet you but none of that pushy sales man. They are well informed about their product. Product: This store is definitely a destination store for Games Workshop, Magic the Gathering, Vallejo Paints and more. Even better these guys can order games in that they don't normally carry. Overall: Darn good place. Its super clean, great merchandise, lots and lots of space for gaming and hobbying. They got my business for sure.

So unless you live in Conroe, you need a reason to go here, like customer service. Yeah, you don't get that either. Imagine having an event start at 10am, and you connect with the organizer 40 minutes in advance to tell them you'll be there 5-10 minutes before 10, and they say okay. Imagine arriving exactly when you said, and be told "sorry bro we started 10 minutes ago". So I ask for a bye for the first game, and am told "no those are the rules". It's an 8-person local tournament, not the World Team Championship, get over yourselves. Could have just said no up front and save me 90 minutes of driving. If you skip this place, you're not missing a thing.

We came in around 7PM on a weekday evening and it was still quite packed. Barely got a table for our group of 5, and we didn't start playing til around 7:45PM. Their board game library is fantastic. We played Kinfire Council, a bit of a rarer game, and it was a great vibe. Drinks can be purchased from the Tabletop Tavern connected and they'll bring it right to your table (except for the Pokemon tables which are designated for family friendliness). Fantastic shop. Great for board game, card game, or miniature enthusiasts of all kinds to make a trek up.

His attitude immediately changed and he said "I don't like selling to people like you." He said it to my husband. I was shocked. How can you speak to someone like that unprovoked? My husband loves Pokémon and had a collection as a kid and it was thrown out. He was excited. My husband said he didn't like his attitude but would still give the store money anyways. He then asked for a $50 box of Pokémon cards and the same guy said he was going to punch a hole into the box with a hole puncher. My husband said he didn't want that because he wants it sealed and untouched. The guy proceeds to give him an attitude and tells my husband he can have the Pokémon box for double the price or else he will hole punch it. Honestly, this isn't the first time this place has been a disappointment. I promise you, you will meet the rudest and most pompous Reddit mod toxic a** people in places like this. The environment is unwelcoming. You can tell these people hate you. If you don't look like a liberal, have the purple hair and piercings-- these people treat you different. It's obvious and gross. If they keep this behavior up, they'll go out of business one day. Also, the owner seems to post very ugly and offensive responses to any reviews he doesn't like. That should tell you something. This place is going to shrivel up and dry out of business. So many complaints about the attitude of the employees yet the owner behaves like this.

I went to Cy-Tex gaming for the first time really excited looking for Pokemon and yugioh cards after someone recommended the store to me. I walked in and bought four cards and continued to look around the store with my purchased cards. The employee expressed to me that service would be slow because he was the only one working today. While looking around, the employee went to the other half of the store while I continued to browse. From the back, another older employee came out and hovered around my general area near the front counter. After I finished looking, I moved over to the other half of the store with the cards I had purchased. I put them in my pocket and moved on to join the first employee. When I went to the other half of the store to browse for pokemon cards, the older second employee followed me. I didn't think much of it until he followed me around to every part of the store. I noticed that his eyes were glued on to me everywhere I went. It eventually became clear to me that I was being followed. I continued to browse the store and different aisles as he continued to follow me with his eyes and moved to where he could see me. Eventually, after I finished looking I returned to the front half of the store and waited to purchase a Yugioh EBT box. While I was waiting in line I heard the second older employee tell the first that I had put cards in my pocket. At this point, I got my digital receipt ready to show. Sure enough, when it was my turn to check out he told me that his boss saw me put cards into my pockets and needed to see them to verify that I had purchased my cards. I showed him the four cards I had purchased, and he shouted out to his boss that he could confirm that I purchased all four cards. To conclude, after 15-20 minutes of following me around both halves of the store and through some aisles, rather than ask me if I had purchased the cards he just assumed I was stealing them and had the first employee ask me to show the cards in my pockets to verify that I purchased them and had not stolen them. After verifying that I only had the cards that I bought when I first went up to the register the second older employee laughed it off and tried to awkwardly play it off. Like I said, I know this isn't everyone's experience, just mine. I went into the store so excited for all the cards, pokemon, and yugioh. I never thought that I would be treated to feel as if I was stealing or was a criminal. Despite all this, it is a great store filled with a variety of items and things. I do plan on returning and hope for a different experience.
