No, depends on your perspective on what good tutoring, or an good after school program should be. Below is my honest and unbiased opinions for your consideration. Pro: they do have capable tutors like Mr Andrew, Ms St Claire, but they are most effective on a one on one session which will cost you extra. The school always accommodates. Again, fees are on top of the regular tuition. Decent Art, Music, Foreign language Classes. Con: This school is not run by professionals with education background, trainings etc. The philosophy is that of Cramming the kids with class after class, and little room to spare. No playground, limited spaces for personal space. My son's biggest complaint was the loud noise in the so call homework room. Since all kids, who aren't enrolled in specialty classes are all in the room. So you guess it. Chaos... Lord of the Flies, and most of them are starving... Now if your child is struggling in school, and it is desperately to catch up? This might be the school for you. It is basically school 2.0. I can see kids from China, ESL , getting the extra boost here. Your kid will get improved grade, but essentially he is in school from 7 to 7. I guess that is a roar of the Tiger Mom thing, and just not this Asian Dad, but I never made it to Med school, so my opinion doesn't matter. Wish you all the best.

I was a student at elite in high school to prep for the SAT exams. Over the summer program, I was not only taught how to approach these standardized tests but how to approach studying--habits that I was able to carry over into Cal. I had over 700 point increase after 2 summer programs. Not only did this Elite program help me with my test scores, the whole staff was a wonderful support group and guided me through the college application process. They not only supplemented the little knowledge that I had about the college application process, but also gave me advice and tips with how to approach my college life experience. The programs may be rigorous, but as we all should know: "you reap what you sow" Put in the hard work and keep an open mind and voracious appetite of a student. You will succeed and realize you're capable of so much more than you thought you were. Best of luck!

Reading Town is mainly known for their services in helping students with the English subject such as reading comprehension, speed reading, grammar, vocabulary building, spelling, contextual analysis, and much more. The center also assists students with math and a few other subject areas as well. Summer programs and a course in STEM robotics are held every summer, which further enhances students' academic abilities and allows for them to get a step ahead of their studies. Workbooks are administered and given to students according to their diagnosis tests, and each student is assigned their own unique Reading Town online account/profile. The directors, Mr. and Mrs. Cho, are wonderful people who really care about the well-being of the students, and also maintain their academic files by keeping track of their record and progress. If you are interested in having your child enroll in a learning/tutoring/after-school center, I highly recommend Reading Town!
