This was never disclosed to us as part of the school's discipline policy, and we were not informed at the time it happened, we only found out because our daughter mentioned it. Even more concerning, our daughter told us another child was made to stand against the wall as well, and was reportedly told "who told you you could sit down" when he tried to sit. We don't know every detail of that second incident, but if true, it points to a culture of discipline that relies on humiliation and intimidation rather than positive guidance. We've reported this formally and are waiting on a response. A call was promised today (7/2/26) however, I have not received a call yet. Until we see real accountability and a change in disciplinary practices, we can't recommend this school anymore.

I want to start by saying how much I loved Ms. Rolon and Mrs. Calabrese. They were always so welcoming and genuine. My daughter started in July, feeling confident this was the right fit. However, that quickly changed. My daughter's teacher (who I will leave unnamed) right off the bat, my husband and I felt didn't like my daughter, and my daughter felt it. High-strung energy and frantic energy are not good for young ones who are nervous to start. Not welcoming, and immediately made her out to be a "BAD" kid. I think it ruined her first preschool experience. Backing up, my daughter was born 4 months before the pandemic broke out and had never been in daycare or school, which was explained when we enrolled her. I was very transparent about everything when touring and signing up. Mrs. Calabrese, who gave us a tour, and who sold us. She was absolutely wonderful & genuine. Mrs. Calabrese left shortly after my daughter started so we relied on some of the staff and teachers. Which didn't provide us with much comfort. I strongly believe if your child doesn't fit the mold of their concept of a perfect child, there will be red flags that they will not welcome you back, soon. Not every child is the same and they did nothing to help with my daughter's social integration troubles. Which by the way, is completely normal and even more so since she is a Covid baby. More and more I researched and spoke to other preschools, Covid babies are showing delays since the world stopped for 2 years. I am not making excuses for my child and will be the first one to admit she is strong-willed and determined. Those attributes are wonderful if channeled the right way. This school is not for your child if your child shows any type of out-of-the-mold behavior. The classroom was absolute chaos, my daughter's diaper was always dirty picking her up, the wrong clothing was sent home often, and never once did I hear anything positive about my daughter doing well. Furthermore, we got a week's notice that she wasn't welcome back the next month, we were told we should keep an eye on some behaviors & get her assessed as she might have something wrong with her. Since then I have gotten 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinions from qualified individuals, and think this is ridiculous & untrue. You have no idea, how horrible this felt, and I hope was a true intention on their end but I doubt it. What really bothered me was on her last day, we walked in to put her lunch bag away in her cubby and her name was already taken down from her cubby. It broke my heart because it proved how much they wanted her gone. Luckily, my daughter isn't old enough to understand it, but if she were older that would have been really awful to explain. Now, we have found a fabulous preschool (with the same ratio btw), and my daughter has made a full 360. The teacher is patient, loves kids, and really wants them to do well. Every child is DIFFERENT! Again, fees are on top of the regular tuition. Decent Art, Music, Foreign language Classes. Con: This school is not run by professionals with education background, trainings etc. The philosophy is that of Cramming the kids with class after class, and little room to spare. No playground, limited spaces for personal space. My son's biggest complaint was the loud noise in the so call homework room. Since all kids, who aren't enrolled in specialty classes are all in the room. So you guess it. Chaos... Lord of the Flies, and most of them are starving... Now if your child is struggling in school, and it is desperately to catch up? This might be the school for you. It is basically school 2.0. I can see kids from China, ESL , getting the extra boost here. Your kid will get improved grade, but essentially he is in school from 7 to 7. I would have to ask about progress. The expectation we had was that my daughter was being helped in math and reading. Just for reference, there were times my daughter was allowed to enter Francisco's facility and walk right out with the new work. When I questioned her, she said it was okay. She said the tutors would review her work and let her know the following week how she did. We recently transferred to another Kumon facility closer to her new school. As soon as I met the owner of this facility, I knew Francisco ripped me off. This new facility utilizes an app to facilitate conversation between parents and staff. They also have regularly scheduled parent meetings to discuss the progress of the child. I never had one with Francisco. The new facility requires 30 minutes of one on one tutoring per subject. They require you to schedule a time to enter so that the facility has enough tutors on staff to meet the needs of the students. Francisco has a "drop in whenever" policy and I have seen his facility crammed with students with only a handful of tutors. Definitely not one-on-one tutoring. Sadly, now that we are about two weeks into our experience with the new facility, we have learned that Francisco and his staff didn't help my daughter as much as we expected. With the one-on-one tutoring, we have found that the Francisco's tutors allowed her to move on in a section without demonstrating mastery. It was nice getting those little certificates; however, they now mean nothing. I'll also add that this new facility charges the same amount but we got far more for our $$$. Lastly, I will add that Francisco tried to con me out of a whole month's tuition stating that Kumon requires that I pay for the whole month, even if I gave fair warning of our leaving in the middle of a month. I called Kumon HQ and the representative there said that it wasn't a policy of theirs and that each facility is independently owned and operated. I informed Francisco that he lied and that it wasn't Kumon's policy and that he was trying to squeeze more money out of me. He relented after being caught and I paid a prorated amount for the month. IF YOU THINK THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU, THINK AGAIN. I spent a lot of money here only to realize by going to another Kumon that there are better facilities. My daughter lost a whole year's worth of work and we are out $$$. This facility is a rip off.

I contacted their offices and was told I would be receiving a refund (amount $60). After a year and a half of back and forth phone calls and being strung along, I am finally writing this review. I understand that they were closed and everything got delayed or pushed back. However, their finance team kept assuring me I'd receive a refund. I normally wouldn't have pursued this for so long but they kept telling me "next week... next week" I am officially giving up on the refund (maybe they'll surprise me) and writing this review so others are warned regarding their lack of follow through on their end. Apart from all of this, the two classes that my teen completed were fine. Wish this location the best and hope they can communicate with their finance office about their lack of integrity and completion on promised they've made.

I sat in on my daughter's introductory art class and saw why some of the artwork looks so good. It's not your child's artwork! I watched the "instructor" go back to one child over and over again to paint her picture for her, one time spending ten minutes at her station painting her picture FOR her. The poor child repeatedly asked for help throughout the class because she had no idea what she was doing. How could she with someone else painting her picture?! Not to mention the fact that she will go home and show off her beautiful artwork to her parents who I am sure will be astonished and proud but she will never be able to recreate that kind of art again because someone else painted it for her. Is that confidence building? Hardly. Others including my child were the recipient of this teaching style. My daughter did their free introductory class which is great because you get a chance to feel the place out before you buy ($195/month!!!). The free intro class is good. They've got two aides for seven children. Also good. However, the girl "teaching" my daughter asked her to look at her picture and see what looks "wrong" about it. Next she told her this part "looked funny" when critiquing her imperfectly drawn circle (she's seven). These are not encouraging words for a child! Or anyone else for that matter. Next she proceeds to ERASE my daughters work and re-draw the whole picture to show her how to do it "right". Isn't art supposed to be about creativity and the artist's interpretation??? Isn't the best way to learn by doing it yourself??? "Imperfections" often turn out to be masterpieces and I fear my daughter's frustration and doubt in not creating perfection the next time we draw. My daughter does not need to attach words such as "wrong" and "looks funny" to her own work or anyone else's; THIS IS HOW YOU SQUELCH CREATIVITY. I guess if you're into that sort of thing and want your kids to learn to be ashamed of any "imperfections" then this place is right for you. I can tell you right now though that this is not where we will be spending our money! Not a good way to foster creativity!
