Welcome sign on her first day

We're new to the area and my 2 year old felt comfortable enough with her instructor, Mr. Joseph, to just jump into the pool! No coaching needed. Online process was fairly simple and the staff helped with my questions. Cute bag, shirt & progress book given upon signing up!

We have been coming here for just over 2 years and our daughter loves it. She is gaining skills so quickly due to the excellent coaches. The most important thing is she's water safe and continues to learn water safety and skills. Mr. Colton is her current instructor / coach and he does such a great job with her. I have nothing but good things to say!

If you are having a tough time deciding where to send your little one, this is the one. I looked into every swim school in the area and I landed on Aqua duks. I can say I do not regret it one bit. The facilities are so clean unlike others that reek of bleach. The staff is so unbelievably friendly and helpful. It's such a nice feeling walking into a busy school and the staff to greet your little one by name. Our son has been swimming with Mr. Adam for close to a year and they have made some amazing progress together. He is so patient in understanding my son and his hesitations. There are plenty of changing rooms and restrooms. There is also a wall with swim accessories and swim diapers for sale.

We came across this school by happenstance, but we couldn't be more grateful! Our son has been taking classes here since he was 3 months old and now he loves coming to swim classes! Prior to coming to swim classes, he actually hated the water and bath time. But from his experience here, he made a 180 degree turn. His eyes light up as we walk towards the school and gets antsy waiting for his turn to go into the pool. We are so grateful for the wonderful teachers and how the assess when they can help challenge our son to be more independent!

We have had a really amazing experience with Aqua Duks after trialing another site. While others feel like a swimming mill, aqua Duks have a really small ratio with their parent and me (2 kids per instructor) swim lessons and even private lessons. This helps keep the two pools spacious and less chaotic for the swimmers to learn. Our 2 year old daughter has been working with Joseph for the past 6 months, and the amount of progress that she has made is incredible. We were afraid that her first swim lesson elsewhere left her with PTSD, but with Joseph, lessons have been gentle and child-led. Our daughter is so confident in the water, and we can't wait to continue our swim journey here. PLUSES - heated pool, clean facilities, friendly instructors. It's honestly a win win all around

We love Aqua Duks! I have been taking my son here for over a year now since he was 5 months old. We started in the parent & me class and did that for a while and really loved it! My son loved going every week and really learned to love the pool and become very comfortable in the water. In October, we started their new program, Parent Taught. This class is like the in between parent & me and private lessons. Since my son is still under 2, I wanted to continue to get in the pool and have that bonding time, but upping what he was learning on a weekly basis. I have been really happy with the progress he has made in this new program. We love Mr. Scott, Miss Mae, Mr. Fernando and all of the instructors at Aqua Duks!

Our son has been able to swim for a while, but it was more a combination of freestyle kicks and "big arms" with a lift of the head to breathe. This works fine if you're trying to have fun in the pool. But this is NOT efficient. And we really wanted him to gain some speed. Well, we are getting that with Nick YL. We are truly amazed at the progress and the small tweaks that he makes for huge improvement. Like Nick will tell him to be looking down or glue his ear to his arm and suddenly his stroke is way better. Or he'll move his arms a certain way so our little guy can feel a difference or give him a pull as Nick tells him what to do...it's pretty amazing. The pool is located inside LA Fitness and the facility is not super clean. For example, don't put your coffee cup down on the window sill or you might get a mouthful of cobwebs. But we're only there for 20 minutes and for our purposes it works. Last note: they used to have changing tents and for whatever reason, these are now gone. So I recommend getting a swim parka for after the lesson. We dry with a towel first, then pop the parka on, so we can keep the car seat dry for the ride home.

I did state that before. I do ask again to keep refraining from texting me, posting about me, and having such anger towards me. It feels displaced and truly unprofessional. I'm just uncomfortable with this rhetoric and engagement. Again, loud and clear, I wish you well. FYI- my pool isn't heated, however it is indoors in a heated room. *** it's pretty upsetting this morning to entertain texts and phone calls from friends who are screening me comments the owner is making about me on her Instagram page. I never even talked to her on Instagram or other social media outlets that's concerning given a professional, I'm entitled to my opinion I don't feel like I said anything that was a discrepancy towards her. Personally, she cared to share her personal endeavors with me, which I don't feel are reflective of what her personal position should hold, that's neither here nor there. I come from a place of wishing you goodwill in your journey of whatever it is that brings you peace and happiness, and I asked that you refrain from threatening me via my personal text which my husband and I both read, as well as on any social media outlet I don't feel that's constructive. It's both discrediting and defamatory against somebody's character. I didn't say anything about you personally again wishing you well, so please refrain from further harassment towards me personally thank you Pretty disappointed with the various layers of content from owner. The initial phone call I placed was to a recorded, outdated message that was very dry and monotone. A little more enthusiasm, especially considering the audience you want to attract would be helpful. Nevertheless I wanted to give it a try and left a message. I would naturally assume a live person, especially an owner attempting to secure a potential new client would personally reach out. Instead I was texted. Very dry, lacking any enthusiasm or introduction to whom I was speaking with. As a parent and an educator I was left feeling very unimpressed and as if my business wasn't a concern for them in securing. It's too bad because in the past, I often gather several friends and children to take part and lessons when I find someone that I'm super happy with and comfortable with. the only reason I am no longer using the private instructors that I have had is because they have moved away. Furthermore, it was indicated that no lessons or instruction would take place and less the degree of temperature was 80° and above I've never heard of this when I've also used professional schools and CPR trained swim instructors that were on swim teams earning medals at the number one high school in California. It's just a little disheartening that I was just treated with such ill regard as to my needs as a client or any considerations on my end. So it was just left as if there was no concern to secure my business again no professional phone call was made or introduction from them. I have no idea who I was speaking with and it's unfortunate because they lost a great deal of business that I would've been happy to support.

My son absolutely loves Australian Swim School, and I can't recommend them enough!…read more One of the biggest reasons we chose this swim school is the water temperature. It's by far the warmest pool we could find, and it's the only place where my son happily stays in the water without shivering. Our regular instructor is Mr. Nori, and he has been wonderful with my son. He's patient, encouraging, and fantastic with all of the kids I've seen in his classes. We recently missed a couple of lessons and had to attend makeup classes. For whatever reason, my son suddenly decided he didn't want to go back for his lesson. Miss Kaylee stepped in and was incredible. She tried everything she could to gently encourage him to go to the back pool, but when it became clear he wasn't going to do it, she didn't give up. Instead, she offered to work with him one-on-one in the front pool where we already were. She even promised she wouldn't put his head under the water. In the end, he became comfortable enough that he chose to put his face in the water on his own with her guidance, but she honored her promise and never forced him. That meant so much to me. I don't know if she was on her lunch break, between classes, or supposed to be doing something else, but I know that impromptu private lesson wasn't part of her day. She took the time simply because she cared, and it completely turned the experience around for my son. The best part is that it worked. Today my son happily got back in the water with Mr. Nori, and I honestly think it was his best lesson yet. Mr. Nori was so sweet, so encouraging, and genuinely proud of him. Seeing his confidence come back was such a great moment as a parent, and I really credit both instructors for making that happen. Every single person we've interacted with has been kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely wonderful with kids. I honestly have not had a single negative experience here. The first class is free, the warm water makes such a difference, and the little splash pad was a huge part of getting my son's initial buy-in. From the instructors to the front desk staff, the entire team is amazing. If you're looking for swim lessons for your child, I highly recommend Australian Swim School!

We've been going to this school since they were in Fullerton, and they've always been great. My daughter started with Mr Nori and he's one of her favorite instructors. She's gone through a few instructors and we've never had a bad experience. My son now attends the school too. This morning, my daughter had a make up class and had to go into a different swim lane with a new teacher. She's been apprehensive about leaving her current school and starting kinder next year, and the emotions came out today. She started crying and holding onto me when she saw the new lane and instructor and said she doesn't want new things. Within seconds, Mr Scott came over and began comforting her asking if she'd like to see her other instructor Mayumi. Mayumi wasn't even dressed to go in the water, but rolled up her jeans and sat in another lane with her. Mr Nori came by to say hi and comfort her, and Mr Christopher gave her a private lesson for a few minutes while she adjusted. He eventually asked her if she wanted to join him in the new lane with the new instructor, and she said yes and was happy the rest of the time. Mayumi also came back to check on her. This is the level of care any parent looks for in a school and I highly recommend coming here.

Pre-COVID I purchased an intro package of classes for my teenager and when the shutdowns happened I still had classes unused left. I understand that they were closed and everything got delayed or pushed back. However, their finance team kept assuring me I'd receive a refund. I normally wouldn't have pursued this for so long but they kept telling me "next week... next week" I am officially giving up on the refund (maybe they'll surprise me) and writing this review so others are warned regarding their lack of follow through on their end. Apart from all of this, the two classes that my teen completed were fine. Question: do you want to instill confidence in art AND life in your child? If your answer is yes…read morethen this is NOT the place to go. Why? I sat in on my daughter's introductory art class and saw why some of the artwork looks so good. It's not your child's artwork! I watched the "instructor" go back to one child over and over again to paint her picture for her, one time spending ten minutes at her station painting her picture FOR her. The poor child repeatedly asked for help throughout the class because she had no idea what she was doing. How could she with someone else painting her picture?! Not to mention the fact that she will go home and show off her beautiful artwork to her parents who I am sure will be astonished and proud but she will never be able to recreate that kind of art again because someone else painted it for her. Is that confidence building? Hardly. Others including my child were the recipient of this teaching style. My daughter did their free introductory class which is great because you get a chance to feel the place out before you buy ($195/month!!!). The free intro class is good. They've got two aides for seven children. Also good. However, the girl "teaching" my daughter asked her to look at her picture and see what looks "wrong" about it. Next she told her this part "looked funny" when critiquing her imperfectly drawn circle (she's seven). These are not encouraging words for a child! Or anyone else for that matter. Next she proceeds to ERASE my daughters work and re-draw the whole picture to show her how to do it "right". Isn't art supposed to be about creativity and the artist's interpretation??? Isn't the best way to learn by doing it yourself??? "Imperfections" often turn out to be masterpieces and I fear my daughter's frustration and doubt in not creating perfection the next time we draw. My daughter does not need to attach words such as "wrong" and "looks funny" to her own work or anyone else's; THIS IS HOW YOU SQUELCH CREATIVITY. I guess if you're into that sort of thing and want your kids to learn to be ashamed of any "imperfections" then this place is right for you. I can tell you right now though that this is not where we will be spending our money! Not a good way to foster creativity!
