The bagel was warm but not toasted like we ordered...and it was doughy but somehow also flat. The cream cheese definitely felt homemade...as there were some rather large chunks of peppers in it. Large enough veggie pieces to make it kinda unappealing. The interior is nice with the AC and service was fast. I'm sticking with a 3 star review for now and hope that things will improve for them. For starters, the restaurant is usually filthy. Floors, tabletops both inside and out. Garbage is not emptied frequently enough to prevent overflows. The soda machine is usually a bit sketchy on the outside so I have to wonder if they even bother keeping it clean on the inside. As others have pointed out in these reviews, staff is careless about things like washing hands and keeping prep areas clean. In more than one occasion I witnessed improper food handling. Prices for the menu items have skyrocketed (though this is the case everywhere, so can't ding them for inflation) but quality and portion sizes have not remained consistent. The last straw for me was when I ordered a bagel with nova cream cheese on the side. The cream cheese had obviously turned bad, either because it was too old or refrigeration problems. In my opinion , this location will either keep losing customers until it shuts down or the health department will do it. Unfortunate, because it is a very convenient location and if the store was cleaned up and management made an effort to improve sanitation and quality, I'm sure it would succeed. Until then, I would advise you to stay away.

I placed an order to go: a cortadito, a Vigilante, 2 croquettes, and a breakfast sandwich. For the sammie, I requested Cuban bread with scrambled egg, swiss cheese, and onions - pressed of course! I received fried egg instead but I have to say it was a blessing because the flavors and textures paired really well together. Not to mention, it was likely less messier to consume. My work squad seemed happy with their items too. Unfortunately, Tulipan doesn't offer any milk alternatives. It would be nice to see them offer this for those of us who don't mesh well with lactose.

If you simply GOOGLE Palm Beach County restaurant inspections you can choose from two sources updated daily listing all restaurant inspections within the county. Just enter the name of the desired business on you can see all reports going back from now for many years. Once you read them I sincerely hope you will take appropriate action to assure your loyal clientele that these serious violations will no longer occur.

The fresh patties are hot and flaky. And you can't go wrong with some coco bread to complement. I hesitate to leave this review because I don't want the lines to get longer, but Island Style deserves more accolades.
