Best escape rooms! We started here with Museum Heist...didn't escape but had a lot of fun. So much fun we decided we wanted to do another room that night. We asked Monty (our game master-very nice and helpful) to suggest which one and he recommended Clue. So glad he did, as Clue ended up being our favorite escape room we've EVER done! Amazing room, so cute, best design & interaction...kind of like a mini Disney ride. If we hadn't been leaving town the next morning we'd have definitely booked Monopoly too. Our game master for Clue, Will, was another great employee...very personable, fun, and helpful. We escaped this one, but with a few hints. Love that they don't limit hints and that all escapes are private bookings. Overall just a fabulous experience at Breakout. I'd chosen an escape room for my Bday activity with my daughter, and they were a blast!

We came here on a whim during my friends bachelorette party! We did the Monopoly room and had a freaking blast! I don't want to give too much away, but if you don't like sudden loud sounds, be warned that there are some at the end. I didn't know that and it scared me and I totally fell to the ground lol. It made for a hilarious memory but if you have PTSD activated by loud sounds, just know it's pretty damn loud. But that was just one moment. The escape room itself was a great time and I want to come back here when I visit again! read more

Such a fun experience at Breakout Games in Asheville! We chose the Clue room -- yes, themed after the nostalgic board game -- and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the details pulled you right into the mystery. It felt immersive, interactive, and cleverly designed without being overly complicated or frustrating. The puzzles were creative and well thought out, and it really captured that classic "whodunit" vibe in such a fun way. It was the perfect mix of teamwork, problem-solving, and a little competitive energy. Whether you grew up playing Clue or just love a good escape room challenge, this one is a great pick. Being new to escape rooms, my friends and I gave the Monopoly Jail Breakout room a go for my bachelorette! So fun with a big group of friends, we had 5 people and a private experience. Will was the game host and he was super friendly and helpful with us being new. We got a few hints to help us through which we appreciated and were able to break out with 4 minutes to spare! There were lots of interactive experiences in the room that I felt our money was worth it. This room was a great option for people who are newer to escape rooms - I highly recommend this location!! read more

Our guide 'Red' went above and beyond my personal expectations about customer service. She made sure my very large group felt safe and welcomed. She was a breath of fresh air and super nice. We had a great time at Breakout games for our Wednesday night corporate team building. Most managers arrived and kind of rolled their eyes, but everyone had a blast... even our surly COO had fun in the Museum Heist Room! Our other team played the Haunted Mansion and it was great too! We ate lunch at the nearby Twisted Laurel, which was excellent. Things to know: Parking is not free. There are a couple of metered spaces nearby and there's a pay to park lot across the street. There are no bathrooms or changing rooms close by (that I could see). On their website it says there is a public bathroom, but I couldn't find it. There isn't a lot of shade except under the trees and on the amphitheater stage. These are really too far away to keep a good eye on a small child. Bring your sunscreen! There are no benches nearby to sit on, but there are concrete blocks so bring a towel for parents to sit on. It's a public fountain, so we were glad to have our water shoes. The fountain is advertised to have a lot of features and lights, but we didn't see any of that while we were there. The water shoots up out of the ground and doesn't change. That's enough for my preK kid, but might get boring for older ones. We brought some water toys and those were a big hit. While we were there a summer camp or daycare came through with 50 kids who were well-behaved, but they took over the amphitheater area and most of the fountain. We ended up leaving because it was just too crowded.
