Honestly the best Chuck E Cheese I've been to. Clean, great games (including new ones), hard working staff who definitely make the effort, etc. also a pretty great value when you consider you can get an hour of unlimited play and a large pizza for like $40. Highly recommend for some fun on a rainy day.

We go to chucke cheese just about every other week and it's always a great experience

We always have a blast Everytime we come here. It's always friendly staff and we LOVE the 14.99 play for an hour on Wednesdays.

Very clean, quick food service. It's just too bad parents won't watch their children, it's NOT a daycare!!

If you're out late in downtown, your options are limited to ice cream places and only a few other options so it really checks a lot of boxes. I will say they let too many people in When I read about this place, it was something like they let 60 people in but they're 70 machines so logically it sounds like it's gonna be a good deal. However, people are people and some people never ever get off of a good game and we'll just sit on it all night. Plus, some of the pinball games are just terrible and nobody seemed to play them all night long. Still, I have gone to a number of arcade bars over the years and I would come back to this one. There's a large room with newer machines and retro ones, all set up to play, no quarters needed. Another room has video games. Your admission includes all the games, though they mentioned Deadpool and another game were extra. The machines worked well, the plungers and flippers were smooth, and the lights and sounds were in working order. They said we could leave and come back later to play, with the wristband.

In an effort to plan an activity that didn't involve stuffing our faces for a least 30 minutes, I scheduled a VR session at Better Than Unicorns. My husband was initially skeptical, but I pushed him to go. While my motion sickness didn't allow me to get beyond the first game (pro tip: take a non-drowsy Dramamine 30 min before your appointment if you also suffer from this unfortunate condition), my husband absolutely LOVED the entire experience. We both had fun because he got to try out several different games and I got to watch him on the massive screen directly behind him (side note: your spouse in the VR headset flying through a make believe city makes for a pretty epic boomerang lol). We had such a good time that we bought an Oculus when we got home and have really enjoyed playing/sharing the experience with our friends. Final verdict: If you want to tryout the highest quality VR before taking the $400+ plunge for a personal headset (or just want to take a break from drinking and eating), definitely schedule a session with Better Than Unicorns. BONUS TIP: The building is just around the corner from French Broad's Chocolate Factory -- so after our VR we only had to walk a few yards for a 30-min chocolate factory tour and a liquid truffle. Boom!

It's a little hard to find since there's no signage on the outside of the building, but it's in the studio right next to the French Broad chocolate factory (which you can't miss). Walter was our VR guide and was so patient with us newbies and very accommodating of our requests to play different types of games. And man, do they have a lot of games! I felt like I could have asked if he had anything where I could ride a T-rex through the Wal-mart and he would have said "sure, let me pull that up"...amazing! It was also hilarious to watch others in the group play. Whether they were walking the plank or punching out bad guys, we could see what they were seeing on the big screen, as well as watch them react to it in the real world. Too funny. Thanks to Walter and the BTU crew for a great afternoon that we'll be talking about for a long time. We're already planning our next visit!

I do wish they had more of a variety of meats for the board, but everything was exceptional! I will say the grapes weren't the freshest, but everything else makes up for it! I do like their hummus that we got for the side and the martini is delicious as always, can't go wrong with that! They had seasoned roasted macadamias and those were very yummy!! The walnuts tasted freshly cracked and not bitter whatsoever and service is great! While exploring around I found out the book I just read has a sequel because of their displays, so that was neat! There was live music and the space was bigger than I had expected, upstairs with children's, games, and history!
