This is difficult to write…read more The woman answering the calls this afternoon for appointments (2/3/2026) should be fired and never allowed to work in healthcare. I called this morning to schedule a screening given my family medical history. The person in the morning said I was "high risk" but needed a referral. Since I don't currently have a primary care physician they said I could go to an urgent care and ask for the referral. I went to a UCSF urgent care facility and they identified additional reasons why I was high risk and sent the referral over. Urgent care seemed genuinely concerned for me. I called this center up to schedule the screening now that I had the referral. Unfortunately the woman I spoke to this afternoon didn't appear to take the referral seriously and proceeded to give me a hard time. She put me on hold for a while and came back saying she wouldn't schedule an appointment for the cardiologist or for a screening, but instead a video consultation 2 months from now. Two months is a long time. I mentioned the person in the morning at their center saying I was "high risk" and the urgent care also saying I was "high risk." Her response was that if I was high risk, I would be in the emergency room right now. If this person only knew what happened to my family member. I was shocked and speechless. The memories... I mustered, "this is really bad, I regret calling you" and hung up. She should be fired and never allowed to work in healthcare.

Agree with the near universal sentiment here re: this clinic lacking good customer service or…read moresympathetic bedside manner -- from the staff or doctors. It took months to get an appointment, and then another two months for tests to be scheduled and completed. And then -- despite me experiencing very real heart abnormalities (confirmed by tests he ordered), Dr. Clifton Watt was completely dismissive of my concerns and symptoms and entirely unhelpful in figuring out an effective way to manage the issues, identify a root cause, and get some relief. He couldn't get out of the appointment fast enough, passing the buck on my (yes, admittedly complex) issues to other specialists. My primary care provider was more helpful, and certainly more compassionate. Don't waste your time here, if you need specialty care or help for any complex issues.

His staff is also amazing. It seems like they have a great office culture that translates into professionalism and great care for us patients. I never had to worry about getting stuff through insurance -- they always followed through for me. Bring a book to appointments, because you might have to wait. Have patience. When it's you on the table, you'll be grateful for all the care he gives his patients. Thanks, Dr. Egrie!‍

I experienced cardiac and respiratory arrest while Daniels attempted to do a trans catheter valve repair. Dr. Egrie's technical surgical skill and compassion and warmth were much appreciated. He patched the hole in my heart and repaired the tricuspid valve. I did not want open heart surgery, especially a chaotic emergent procedure. After a year and a half I have not recovered and the quality of my life has plummeted. I have had to reduce activities by 75% and continue to have severe rib pain, a paralyzed diaphragm and labored breathing. Another patient had the misfortune of being Dr. Daniel's patient eight months later and his right ventricle was also lacerated and he died. I am in touch with that patient's daughter who is grief stricken. What is Sutter going to do to hold Daniels accountable and investigate his dangerous techniques? I pray no one else gets harmed, the reason for my speaking out.
