I found 33 Hot Yoga at the beginning of this year, in January. Let me be clear: I was not a yoga person or a heat person. But I was tired of feeling bleh, from perimenopause and from losing my exercise outlet (circuit classes) and from the daily stress of work, kids, life. I had attempted yoga occasionally in the past, but never consistently and never in a heated room. I was nervous, but decided to give it a try. It's now August, I've completed over 70 classes, and it has truly become a non-negotiable part of my weekly routine. I feel stronger, more balanced, and have noticed a real difference in my body and my mood. Plus, met such wonderful people and feel part of a special community. From that very first class, I was hooked. It was Hot Sculpt with Hope - quite a challenge for a newbie! But her energy and positivity immediately made me feel both welcomed and capable. I still love how that class is challenging but FUN and so rewarding - and Hope is an icon! Studio owner Shannon's Hot HIIT Pilates classes are an absolute must, for anyone and everyone. She creates the best vibes in her down-to-earth way, while still being the sturdy leader that we need. Shannon's spirit lights up the entire studio and is something special. It's evident how much she cares and how much of her heart she's poured into the details. The evening yoga classes have become my sanctuary. I look forward to them all day. Heart & Core Flow (Vinyasa) with Kameryn, and Hip & Glute Flow (Vinyasa) with Danielle are EVERYTHING to me during the work week. Love them both! Worth noting that ALL the classes are truly inclusive: All ages, abilities, body types, walks of life... We come together to quiet our minds, move our bodies, breathe deeply, and SWEAT. It is HOT but the magic of the heat is REAL. Also there is NO judgment in the room. It is truly a welcoming and supportive environment. In summary: HIGHLY RECOMMEND for beginners or practiced yogis. Simply, the best…read more... I met Rosemary a few years ago, when we had just moved from the Bay Area to the Ojai area. After taking the first class with her, I told her 'she was the best teacher I ever had'... I have now been practicing with her for the past few years, and my practice has not only strengthened physically, but I am more connected to my practice holistically and as another reviewer stated, 'soulfully'. She truly brings a unique gift to her students, regardless of their experience - and treats everyone with honor and grace for the journey they are on... Her retreats are also fabulous - I recently went to Tassajara (my first yoga retreat) - she has such a great sense of humor and puts the participants at ease to allow them to really enjoy the whole experience!

Guiding the student to work hard, smart AND gentle all at the same type is an art she has mastered. Like other reviewers I have done several retreats with Rosemary, each one a delight for the body and the senses. I agree with and take the liberty to repeat the words from Shaun's review: "Rosemary's yoga is impeccable. Having the opportunity to receive detailed instruction from her gentle, soothing voice and light presence is a gift I can barely put into words. There is no pressure in her class, only guidance. It's a strength building class when you need it and meditative at the beginning and end to seal you in bliss." If you get a chance, RUN don't walk, to Rosemary for a class, retreat, or private session.

A lovely location and I enjoyed my glimpse of the water just before sweating it out in my Barre class. I've come to enjoy attending classes at VFit and find the smaller classes to be nice. Know that because of the smaller sizes, if you sign up for classes individually like I do, each class is at the premium price because of setting. $3 more than a regular mat class, not awful really.

My own therapist was chewing a throat lozenge during the massage and even dropped it on me. I was charged for a deep tissue massage even though the therapist confirmed she performed a Swedish massage. We were forced to overtip because the front desk didn't have change. This was our second bad experience here, last time the tech scrubbed so hard we left bleeding. Kim the owner promised to investigate and call me back, she never followed up despite my emails and calls. No resolution, no accountability. We will never be back
