First off, I'd have to agree with many of the customer service reviews that others have given. Customer service for me has been nothing short of awesome. Employees are attentive and definitely do their best for whatever issues that I am having. I've gone both to their location and talked with them on the phone. I've had them talk me through setting up my new router/modem combo with the most compatible channels. Every time I call I am always called back. Chris is who I've talked to especially a number of times who doesn't tell me what I want to hear, but offers other solutions and sets me up for what I may need. This is why I give it 4 stars right off the bat. Only reason I cannot give Metrocast a 5 star rating at the moment is because I have had many issues with my internet since using them this past May. I'll be in the middle of homework and my internet will cut off. Granted, I'm one that deals with things real well, so if I had called earlier I probably could have gotten it taken care of much earlier. But I didn't. Still not sure if this issue has anything to actually do with Metrocast themselves or my actual house, but I will find out Monday when I have a tech come out and find out why I keep having so many T3 and T4 errors. Definitely saw these reviews, however, and wanted to say something. Not sure about many of you, but I've had about 5 different internet providers over the course of my adult life, and I always have some sort of problem with them. At least Metrocast has good customer service and will work with you. So on that note, work with them a little and they will be sure to work with you. Update: Changed stars from 4 to 5. Joe came out (Great guy, went outside and tested wires, went into attic and tested wires, sat down and looked at my modem/router info, etc.) and found it was not Metrocasts fault or lack of trying. Connectors in my house were loose, wire was pinched outside among other things. Joe fixed and explained everything to me and now my wireless is great. This is more than can be said for the internet I had when I lived in other parts of Maryland, North Carolina, Florida and Okinawa. Great company, great customer service and great employees. From Metrocast to Atlantic Broadband and now Breezeline. Service is terrible, constantly dropping out. Personnel I have spoken with have been cordial but cavalier with issues. For this I get constant increases in cost with little to no improvement in quality of service. If there were any other options, I would have jumped ship a long time ago but due to antiquated franchising agreements we, in SoMd, have to suffer. I think that Verizon still offers DSL but that is marginally better than dial-up. The only difference is you don't have to listen to the clicking and whirring associated with dial-up. If my MIL didn't live with me and depend on internet to watch her shows, I would cancel it all. read more

Tried getting the info I needed via computer contact. Breezeline has the nerve to try and charge me $5 to get info I need. I believe I'm being charged for a service I did not sigh up for. I need the phone # for the Hollywood, MD office at Airport View Dr. They have been the only group to get a matter cleared up in the past; it was good service, but the other contacts were not helpful. Called customer service to get a refund they said it would take up to 10 days but you can take $400 out of my account in a matter of seconds if there was another cable company locally I would switch immediately.. If I could leave zero stars I would. If you are in the southern Maryland area you should get any other provider but them the first year was 60$ a month for the last two it's been 150 for basic Internet and it is absolutely terrible. Service cuts out all the time and will take hours for you to be able to use the internet again even if the weather is not bad. Breezline should be investigated by the Ohio Attorneys General. It's not just that their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced, I think they're actually behaving like a criminal organization. Some background: I was originally a WOW customer. After WOW sold to Breezline, my account was automatically moved. I instantly went from paying $50/month to $80/month. It's worth noting that the most expensive plan on their website is $50/month for 1 GB speeds. After the merger, I was now paying $30/m more than their most expensive plan and have never clocked speeds more than 15 mbps down (you read that right). I'm in the city by the way. Their lowest plan should do better than that. For 3 months, I tried to contact Breezline and get this fixed but they are the only company I've experienced that actively refuses to help. They're combative, dodgy and rude. I've been hung up on 3 times...for politely asking to fix the problem. I've never once raised my voice to them. They simply put you on hold for 10-15 minutes and then hang up. Their online chat disconnects as soon as you don't respond for more than 10 seconds. When you call, their automated program tells you to "press 1 for us to call you back" like most companies...the difference, they don't actually call you back. I gave up today after a 3 month fight to simply get things fixed. I fully expect a class action lawsuit and hopefully a criminal investigation of this company. Avoid at all costs. My Breezeline experience has easily been among the worst corporate customer service I've had, only second to Spectrum and T-Mobile. It has been anything but a breeze. I used to be a Wow customer and got transferred to Breezeline when they got bought out. Other than the lower quality internet service- they have also butchered customer service. After I finally got a hold of someone, I told them I didn't want an account- they signed me up anyway. I didn't realize what they had done until they already did it. I was obviously furious. I said verbatim: "I do NOT want an account" and "I do NOT want you to sign me up for an email" Well... wow! Congratulations, I got both. How is it possible to misunderstand those two statements? My problems have continued. Now they want to charge me for paper billing of which I never received or signed up for. Then, on top of that -I finally did receive it four months later. I agree with the other reviews on here that they need to be reported to the attorney general. I am certainly taking the liberty to do it on my own. Breezeline, please, breeze bye. read more

Well here I am again with my 3rd review for the same issue. My internet is in and out every few minutes all day long. Both times in the past they wouldn't listen or review my past issues so here I am on 9/8 waiting for the earliest appointment they can give me which is 9/13. This means a week with unacceptable internet service only for the tech to come out and find the issue is once again outside and a different crew needs to fix it. I would give 0 stars if I could. Since they took over from WOW our internet has been going out randomly many times a day. I've given them TWO weeks to fix this. So many phone calls and promises they would make that it would be fixed within 24-48 hours. I get the same answers and responses. Even at the manager level you think you'd find some sort of competency but nope. I was advised over the weekend by a manager that a rep will call me the next day with an update on my service ticket. Never received a call. I called in today and they would not let me speak to the same manager I spoke with over the weekend so I had to say the whole speal over again and received the same promises. I only have one other internet provider available in my area so I had to sign up for Spectrum (kill me plz). I'm half wondering if Spectrum doesn't secretly own Breezeline and are just forcing people to pay more by having Breezeline be incompetent. read more

I've been with Breezeline for 12 years. (They were Atlantic Broadband until fairly recently) Throughout this time I have had several outages and problems that the company *refuses* to address. As someone who works in I.T. I'd like to think I have a reasonable grasp on technology. For -months- our service failed constantly and I kept calling in to their support telling us the problem is that we aren't on DOCSIS 3 yet and the region's CMTS was saturated. I'd press about when they would be upgrading us, get no answer and be left paying full price for service that constantly dropped out and didn't perform to spec. (That convenient "Up to" language in ads doing heavy lifting for Breezeline, but even if I *did* get the advertised bandwidth, the jitter/ping/packet loss was insanely sporadic) After that issue was resolved, I had no issues for about a year. Unfortunately, good times never last and the same old issues started occurring. They sent a technician out 4 times in 2 weeks who refused to listen to me when I said that my LAN/WLAN are perfectly stable and that accessing the internet is what is intermittently dropping for long bouts of time. He pulled up a Wi-Fi analyzer app on his cell phone and insisted it was signal overlap. I insisted that my router, which boasted an "AI" signal changing algorithm for the wireless was not the problem. He refused to listen, told me to change the wireless channels and left. *OF COURSE* that didn't fix the problem. I immediately called in and mustered up the patience for their seemingly endless phone prompts designed to waste as much of your time and mitigate their phone queues and insisted I be escalated to tier 2 support. I wasn't escalated, of course, but after much stink and fuss I was assured I would receive a call back. I got a call back a week later from a very nice lady in New Hampshire who assured me she'd get this fixed. I asked if she could send a different technician out. I INSISTED the technician be someone else because the one they sent is not competent nor honest. She assured me she'd send a different technician out. She didn't. He showed up and re-terminated the coaxial cables in my basement. This seemed to correct the issue. (From what I could tell the majority of my issue was an extremely unstable upstream leading to repeated bad DHCP requests) This, for a time, seemed to correct the issue. Now I'm back to having the same issue YET AGAIN. The fun part though is that now they've replaced their entire customer-facing support line with cheap out-of-country support full of people simply reading scripts who are clearly not well versed in literally anything to do with their service. My modem, which was perfectly fine, was what breezeline's support insisted was the problem so I replaced my 1 1/2 year old modem (which sat in open air, not in a closed cabinet and was out of the way, literally never dropped or hit or yanked on, etc) with a brand new Arris SB8200 (the top tier dedicated modem on their compatibility list) So, armed with my new modem and a new-found sense of naive optimism, I decided "Now they can't blame my equipment and they'll actually investigate the problem." I waited for the next serious outage (random complete drop on a Saturday afternoon lasting 2 hours) and call in. "Sir, I cannot get signal to your modem." the agent claims. I explain to her that, no, she cannot, because yet again my service is out and that it's definitely not on my end. If I leave it alone, my service will restore in a small while. I struggle to understand her between her thick accent, fast speaking cadence and the fact that her mic is too close to her mouth making every other word obscured by her exhalations but somehow get a tech scheduled to come out. My service returns within 30 minutes of hanging up. I get a call this morning asking if we'd still like a technician to come out. I lost my cool. I finally let it all go on someone despite the fact that I knew the outcome would be nothing. I get done airing all of my grievances and get a meek "So you'd like to cancel your technicians visit for December the 4th?" .... Yes. I'd very much not like you to charge me $75 to do nothing yet again, Breezeline. Avoid Breezeline if at all possible. If there were *any* other ISP with a better reputation in this area I would 100% switch to them. I pay twice what others I know pay for fiber for a 500/50 plan and it's almost unusable most of the time. And Breezeline, if you find this review and figure out who I am - don't bother contacting me, I will be placing this review everywhere I can and I will not be taking it down no matter how you attempt to bribe me. Breezeline gouges customers. Their prices are astronomical but there services are complete trash. There is absolutely no reason basic internet/wifi and cable TV should be over $250 a month. Breezeline, if you're going to charge ridiculous prices maybe upgrade your service so it doesn't crash on a regular basis. I've called several times to discuss the outages in my area and discuss the internet crashing on a consistent schedule. Absolute garbage. Either lower your prices or upgrade your services. Everyone I talk to HATED Altantic Broadband and now the feeling is transferring to Breezeline. The only positive I will say, ever since they bought Atlantic Broadband now you can actually get to a customer service rep on the phone in a timely manner. I'm a former WOW! customer. It's not the actual internet I'm having a problem with but the customer service is horrible! Very long wait times just to speak with someone about over charging me! They told me they would have this fixed by next bill as well as give me credit for overcharging me, well I tell you what they better or I will go to the BBB! Also how does a company not give you a call back option at the beginning of the call? Instead you have to wait forever before the system will offer you a callback! I understand that transissions of any kind have bumps in the road but overcharging someone and then taking it out of their account without agreeing to the hire charge is fraud! Trying to get to this website alone was an obstacle. I have been keeping a notepad document of all the times the internet has cut out on my block, and have days were it cuts out almost 5 to 6 times. Restarting my router, which they have told me to do on multiple occasions, I have done almost every time my internet goes out, it always loops around to the router not being the problem, but the internet providers themselves. Supposed to be getting about 200MB downtime? Nah, I've been getting even 10KB/s sometimes. Blows my mind. You should consider yourselves lucky, Atlantic Broadband, that you are the only internet supporter in my borough. Absolutely Horrible.
