I was a Wide Open West customer for 20 years until Breezeline took over service here in Ohio. Now I know what everyone has been complaining about. If you'd truly like to see what it's like to try to work at home in a third world country, I highly recommend Breezeline for your internet provider. Having Breezeline is preparing me for climate change and spotty internet by cutting my service at least two or three times a week. It stays off just long enough for me to get pissed off and then just magically works again. I've had them for almost 4 years now and even when they were metrocast (which was better than ABB) and it's just let down after let down. I pay for 120 Mbps but only get 70 on a good day. They can send all the guys out here they want but honestly it's a crime because I'd be charged $50 for them to just switch out the router/modem. Again. For no reason. I have been trying since the 1st of this year to get my remote working . I have made many calls and put on hold for hours. When I get someone they walk me through the reset . I know how to do that. They sent a new one and it would work once in awhile ., I called again and after trying to sell me something we went through the setup again. It worked one night . Unfortunately, my local cable company was bought by BREEZELINE, who promised "no changes" would be made to my service or pricing, just a name change. That was a total lie; they hiked my rate up 20% and the customer service wait time was over 2 hours. NOW I am being told that I will loose many of my current channels because "my plan doesn't exist anymore" and if I want to keep my channels, my rate will increase by another 35%. After several hours on the phone and multiple customer service reps to see what could be done about the pricing, I ended up paying MORE to keep my channels PLUS now every TV has hideous box and a mess of wires on each TV. Our internet was sold to Breezeline from WOW. So far service as been as bad as could be. They don't answer the phone, when they do answer the wait time is extremely long and they offer for you to leave your number and they will call you back. They don't! Called back today and waited 28 minutes to speak to someone only to have that person transfer me to different department that never picked up after waiting on hold for an hour. When I called back, they told me they were really busy and to call back tomorrow. Really?? I ask to speak to your retention department and you want me to call back?? Received a call on Wednesday from a tech guy wanting me to unplug, wait and do all the tech stuff over again....WASTE MY TIME! Got confirmation call for appt date and time. Horrible customer service and management! I get internet only through Atlantic Broadband.I recently moved to another home in my neighborhood. Previous owners had the same internet service as me. I plugged in my modem, and verified that internet was working at the expected speed. I called Atlantic Broadband to transfer the account, and was told that a technician had to come to my home to "activate " my service. I told them everything was working fine. They insisted, and scheduled a visit between 8:30am and 11:30am. I took the morning off from work and waited. Nobody showed til 12:15pm. When she moved back down in May and activated the account, Breezeline did not inform her that they gave her a new phone number since the one she has had for 28 years was not available???? The transition from WOW! to Breezeline was indescribably bad, but the subsequent support and system failures were even worse. 45 minutes to an hour to talk to someone every time you call. I've gotten hung up on by customer support twice. The website is impossible to figure out how to get the information you need (like cancelling the account). When they first opened the new Breezeline online account, the autopay and ecosave buttons on the dashboards didn't even WORK (along with many other website functionalities). When they finally started working, I plugged in my information (including confirmation of the settings via e-mail).... low and behold, their side never registered the autopay/ecosave settings and now I'm charged the late fee? And I can't even send a screenshot anywhere to prove you're at fault? Get it together, Breezeline. read more

Don't use this company!!!! They just took over WOW and the "cut over service" was dropped my 500MB line down to a 50 MB line. The web site was slapped together at the last minute and does not have a simple interface or the ability to search. If you need to call their support line be ready to wait. In two days I was on hold or waiting for a call back for over 6 hours. First call was to disconnect my service and the second was to port over a phone number. I was transferred 8 times, dropped twice. (Intentionally or incompetence) They say you can go into a service center but there are currently none in Columbus Ohio. Why? Run away as fast as you can. Internet service in St. Marys County with Breezeline. What an awful provider of Internet service for what they charge customers. They all of sudden for the first time in 15 years as being a customer said they were going to do upgrades to their network and offer reduced 6 month deals to existing customers. Well they sent one email regarding the outage and then knocked out the whole forrest farm community in Hollywood for the good part of two days. Their tech support had no idea about the outage, they did it in the middle of the day. Their techs from talking to their guys cannot work past 3pm. They offered me $3 for the outage for the day to my bill. Then they just called at 7pnm for the first time in 15 years and offered me $50 off my bill after I told them how they should have published the dates and times of the outage to their service like any normal business would do. Wanna bet that these new offer on lower prices has to do with Infinity wiring our neighborhood recently ? I am hoping St. Marys county commissioners revoke breezeline charter and let verizon and other internet providers to cable the whole county with fiber. How long should your customers endure extremely poor service from phone representatives and service technicians. If we had more options Breezeline would be out of business. Your customer service is worse than your reliability and that is almost impossible to believe. When you send a technician to a service call at least verify they are qualified. A company that is only in business because of the socialist-style monopolies that exist in Cable TV and Internet. In most modern Western countries you have a choice of 3-5 Service Providers wherever you live. In the "Land of the Free" we have 1 or maybe 2 (but #2 generally does not have the same speeds on offer and so is not a real competitor) This is a direct result of the power of money and lobbying for the fat cats in the cable business. Introducing Atlantic Broadband. A complete joke. Service is irregular and never anywhere near the advertised speed. As I write they have a Miami-wide outage that has lasted 16 hours and they don't know when they will fix it. Appalling. Avoid. Run Away. Hide. Anything but use them.
