The quality of some of the shirts seems to be a level above the cheap shirts that some of the other stores on LBI are selling. Maybe that's why Chick's has been in business for so long. They had some good sale shirts on the rack outside the store. I got a cute tank-top on sale for $15. The woman employee who was working was super friendly and we had a nice chat with her. I wish I remembered her name. It's so important to have friendly employees when you own a business. If you want to sell things, people are more likely to buy from a store where they positively interact with a friendly employee. I'll definitely go back to Chick's the next time I'm in LBI. I recommend it. Check it out for all your t-shirt and sweatshirt needs!

By far the worse experience in this store. I went in with my daughter and a man completed our…read moreregister transaction. Keep in mind I bought her a $10 ring and he rung it up for $3.20. As we started to walk out she questioned that my daughter took the ring and the man said I paid. We then walked out and were almost down the block when she (owner I'm assuming) started screaming down the block, "Excuse me, you didn't pay for that ring!" I replied I did the man did it for me. I politely went back to the store and she was so accusatory that I "stole" her merchandise. As I said to her that's what he rung it up for, she said well it's $10, not what he charged. She was extremely unprofessional in her tone and how she handled it all. Yes, I had no problem letting her know that I will not return due to her poor service and way she spoke to me throughout it all. Good business practice would have said it's our error and not asked for the extra. Of course, I paid the difference but she continued to be rude and had the audacity to say, "I'm sorry you think I'm being unprofessional but I'm a New Yorker." Poor excuse when you run a business that I actually would have returned to.

I went in this store with my two daughters yesterday (ages 13 and 5). The (presumably) owner (a…read moremiddle aged lady) was very aggressive from the moment we entered but I just assumed it was her sales persona and she proceeded to follow us around as if we have an alternative agenda in her store. My daughters and I went upstairs and took a peek around and realizing the third floor was merely a massive assortment of CROCS went down to the bottom level. At this point the owner was talking to another customer, spotted us and told my oldest daughter to "please give me the doll you took". Um what?!? My oldest daughter didn't even look at dolls in her store let alone take one. The owner soon realized another girl in the store was playing with one of the dolls. For whatever reason it appeared the owner was assuming we entered her store to shop lift. My 13 year old was horribly embarrassed by the owners accusation and i was simply angered by the whole encounter in general. What a terrible way to run your store. Not to mention it was an unorganized disaster. We left without spending a penny and had our "Pretty Woman" moment going on to spend our money in other, far more welcoming stores in Schooners Warf.

She also made assumptions that I couldn't buy women's crocs for whatever reason. She was very rude and definitely lost business today. Avoid.
