Love this Campground! Beach is small but if you want to skip the hours of sitting in traffic to put your toes in the sand, Breezy Point is it. My girlfriends and I came for a girls trip. We stayed at a friends camper in the Campground. All of the lots have running water, which is a plus. Conveniently the bath house was straight across from our camper. The 6 of us felt very safe at night walking the grounds. All of the other campers were extremely friendly. Campers rent their lots on a 6 months per year. For campers on the beach, the cost is $3000 a season. Beachfront is a lot of fun! Walk out your door onto the sand. Summer fun!

So beautiful, peaceful, calm beach. Not too much people, with no waves, clean water, picnic areas, restrooms and public showers. We payed 36$ total for 3 adults. It is just 1 hour drive from Alexandria. But the main disadvantage is Jellyfish :( and net doesn't help...If this issue could be solve - this place would be just perfect!

Stayed one night on the campgrounds. Overall, had a great time, but it's really what you make it. The beach isn't the best, nor is the water - but the way it's set up made for a nice night. Lots of RVs, and all the people were very nice. The bathrooms leave A LOT to be desired, and were pretty gross in general. However, i assume they are cleaned daily, as they were cleaning when we were leaving. So that's something. Brought a tent and originally set it up against the rail on our site, but on the beach side. Couldn't understand why no one else was set up on the beach - until later that evening when the winds started picking up (hence breezy point). The stakes didn't hold in the sand, and we were glad not to lose the tent. Lol. Moved on the inside of the rail, and tied it down the rail, and picnic table. That did the trick, and had no problems after that. We brought a propane portable grill, which was great - but didn't take advantage of the fire pits available. Next time we will. Need to bring or find your own wood. We happened to go on a day/night with perfect weather, so that certainly helped to make the experience nicer.

This was my first time camping on the beach. Overall it wasn't bad. My kids enjoyed it! Each site has water and electricity which is awesome. The pier is long, its nice for a romantic walk at night. Crabbing and fish paid off for many. Remember its the bay. Pre-Covid19 I would have given them 5 stars. I would like to give them 3.5 stars. Here is why: The campsites are very close together. My neighbors were probably exactly 6ft away. Yes this is standard requirement for Covid but how often are you looking at a person thinking that cant be 6ft. This the design of the lot. I just would have liked more privacy. If your looking for seclusion this is not it. I could look into my neighbors camper. The set up of the fire ring was way to close to our tent so we had to physically move it...not fun. The bathroom was nice but I have 2 complaints. They did clean the restrooms, I wish it was more often. The shower set up is less then desirable. There are only 2 showers. No doors curtains. You go thru the first curtain and there is the 1st shower, with another curtain to the left. The curtain does give you privacy and your clothes are left on the opposite side where the next person walks thru to get to shower number 2. The showers need to be redone. The 2nd one has better water pressure. The office staff is very professional and helpful. I loved the key card access at night, I felt safe. * The firewood is cheaper at the local store. * This beach has Smack aka many jellyfish * If you don't dispose of your trash, large vulture will eat it.

$6 to visit the beach on a week day? And $10 for a weekend or holiday? WTH? Is that PER PERSON??? From the outside it looks nice but in April it is closed. It is only open from May 1 to October 31. If you want a free beach, drive a little north to Bayport Park. It is *much* smaller so you might not find parking, but it is free!

Quiet and my neighbors were so friendly. Beautiful camp sites. The only thing is that the jellyfish were plentiful so we didn't spend a lot of time in the water. But it was still a great time. Visit the market outside the campground and pick up one of their blt sandwiches. We were told they're made in-house. It was one of the best I have ever had.

Yeah this really is a "Dang I want to go to the beach but I don't want to drive far" joint. I first came here with some acquaintances over summer and it was crowded, a bit dirty, and the water looked a little sus, but it really was the "beach experience". Only a little over an hour away from NOVA, this beach makes for a perfect little day trip. The bay offers all kinds of activities like paddling and boating. They also have picnic areas where people had tents and barbeques. If you want food, they have a great shack with cheap snacks and treats which is nice for a mid-day break. It's a really small bay so you'll want to get there at a decent time to lay out, but otherwise, it's perfect for what it is!

Excellent overnight stay with the Mrs. Bathroom facilities could use a facelift, but overall was pleased with my first 'glamping' experience

From the moment you step onto the grounds of this place you feel your entire body relaxing. It is an amazing experience! I rented a cottage (Mermaid Folly) for the weekend. The place was very well furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining room furniture, very comfortable beds with soft linens, clean baths with soft towels. In general, the place was very clean, well decorated, and very functional. What I loved the most about the cottage was the balcony with a fantastic view, sitting outside under the tree close to the water, and listening to the waves breaking by the river shore. I also loved my walks in the mornings and afternoons by the breezy beaches and pier watching people fishing, the sunrising, and the sunset. I strongly recommend Endeavor Point if you want to just relax on a visit during the day, if you like camping overnight, or staying in a very comfortable cottage over the weekend.

Thomas Point Park in Annapolis is a county park that offers beautiful views of the Thomas Point Lighthouse, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the bay in general. There is a pavilion that can be rented and a day camping area but I believe what makes this park so popular in the summer months is that its a good fishing spot. As the name implies, the park is on a point of land that jets out into the bay offering great views of the water year round. From November through March visitors can drive into the park without paying a fee. But if you are wanting to drive into the park April though October then you need to obtain a permit and I think they can be a bit tricky to come by. Permits are sold at Quiet Waters Park and sold on a limited first come, first served basis. A limited number of daily permits are sold each morning and a total of 75 monthly permits are sold each month on the last Thursday of the prior month. So yeah, a little tricky but its understandable that admission to this small park, which is accessible through a residential neighborhood, needs to be limited.

That being said, we really love this campground, and I wanted to give them a well-deserved shout-out. We first visited in early November and liked it so much that we went back two weeks later. I was honestly surprised by some reviews claiming the owners are money-hungry or rip people off, because that was the complete opposite of our experience. We were originally supposed to stay there in October, but we had an accident that damaged our truck on the day of arrival. I called the resort to cancel and even told them I'd understand if they still needed to charge me due to the short notice. Instead, they gave us a credit for our next stay, which was wonderful and much appreciated. If you're looking for a campground loaded with frills, this isn't it. What you do get are beautiful sites, including the pull-throughs we stayed in that offer direct views of the Chesapeake Bay and some amazing sunsets. Sites include electric and water but no sewer; however, they provide septic carts and several dump stations, similar to many state parks. They also have fire rings and picnic tables, which should be standard everywhere in my opinion. Other than that, it's simply a quiet, relaxed, and scenic campground. My only wish is that WiFi were free, since it is at many other campgrounds. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The camp store has a solid selection of necessities, and the prices were not unreasonable. Given its proximity to Rock Hall (which is an amazing little town), Chestertown, and the Bay, this is definitely going to be one of our regular camping spots. We're already planning several trips for next year.

This would be a 5 star review for sure if the WiFi coverage was better, if there was sewer at the sites, if the bathrooms were open. They made it clear that these things were not included, so it was not a surprise and they do have portable restrooms around. One more portable in the middle of the B-site area would be good. Overall this place is great and we will be returning. Already booked as a matter of fact :)

It is well used and not just in the warm months. There are always people here throughout the year. As expected, during the warmer months this place is packed. With the amount of things on property to do during those months, I can see why. There is minigolf, playgrounds, spray playground, and tons of walking trails. I also see the horse crossing signs along the road and trails through the area, so be aware of that. The only downside to this place, and it is of no fault to the owners, is the amount of traffic that passes by and may cause a bit of a hectic situation when it comes to entering and exiting. They have widened the road in front of the entrance to allow for a turning lane and an entrance lane to the road, but a lot of the people traveling the road seem to not understand that. We ended having a great time and will likely do again (with more planning and preparation). As for the site, Coles Point looks like it's past it's expiration. It's right off the Potomac River (great!), but it needs a lot of work. There must of been nearly 100 RV units on this property, all boon-docking. (1) The bathroom facilities need to be upgraded (2 showers per sex), the water pressure was non-existent, and the showers were not cleaned. The water was hot, at least. My husband said the door on the men's shower did not even close properly (the door was too big!). I did not look into the toilet/sink section. (2) The storefront needs more supplies. They had some fishing tackle, but no fishing line. A few snacks, but no basic staples that an RV'er might need: oil, sugar, salt, paper towels, paper plates, etc. They did appear to sell lots of ice. I would suggest propane too. (3) Someone said the restaurant used to be a big thing. Now closed. We went to Walmart and was a 45-min trip one-way. There is nothing in the area to eat or drink for miles. If available, I'm sure the RV'ers would gladly spend their money so as to not leave, but with no offerings, there is not much to recommend the resort. (4) Due to the size of the event, planning should have been done to provide additional dumpsters to accommodate the amount of trash that was generated or have a mid-event dumpster pick-up. All the dumpsters were overflowing when everyone pulled out. (5) The actual campground. People have been living there and in all such places, it begins to look run-down. It was described to me as "ghetto". People who camp don't generally want to RV beside people who live in an RV park as it becomes truly "lived in", especially in a expensive unit. It was overgrown, the structures were falling apart or needed to be painted, and it looked "bad". I hope to see changes if we return next year, which we hopefully will. There is potential, but I would say that the park is average. I like the abundance of trees, (State Forests) and the pretty leaves during the fall time and the fact that this park is a lot better than Rosaryville, as the trailways are flat and not hilly and as dangerous as Rosaryville. There are regular parks that may not be state parks or forests that are more worth the experience. I like how there are pictures of each campsite so we were able to select a site that was just right for us. Checking in the day of the our trip was a breeze also, since we paid ahead for the site we just had to sign a few documents and get on our way. I will say, that charging $1 for a trails map caught us a bit offguard -- $1 hardly broke the budget but why charge us for a map if we're already paying for a campsite for the weekend? All the general family campsites are found in nice sized loop towards the back of the park. We went in early October and were pleased to see a good number of families and couples also out camping for the weekend. Generally, folks abode by quiet hours so no issues there but man were the kid campers chatty in the mornings. Neighboring kids seemed to get up an sunrise full of energy which woke us up a couple of times. Our site was clean and free of debris and we were able to set up camp within an hour or two. As we were setting up, the friendly camp ranger made rounds to come say hello and to ask if we needed anything which was a nice touch. The ranger made a few rounds around the camp loop each night just to make sure things were swell. Cedarville is great in that you don't have to buy wood only from the camp ranger (as is the case with many other sites that we tried to stay at). We were allowed to use fallen wood for campfires. We did buy one bundle of wood for $5 (got about 8 pieces) just to have as backups but our site was a goldmine of fallen limbs. I had a bow saw with me, so I just spent about an hour ear day cutting wood for the morning and evening fires. Feels so much more like camping when you gather and cut your own wood! We went for a long hike on Saturday through the blue, white, and orange trail areas. Remember to pack some water and a snack for those long hikes. The trails were well cleared and decently marked -- there were a couple of times where we were unsure exactly which trail we were on but we soon figured it out (with the help of that $1 map). The views from the trails were quite nice, definitely stopped to take a photo or two! Overall, a great camping experience for a getaway weekend. Just out of the way enough to allow you to take a break from it all, but still close enough to major roads like 301 to stock up on food, drinks, ice, etc. Definitely check Cedarville out!
