Great watches and service, but buyer beware. The same watches are available at places like Jomashop for huge discounts (up to 50%). I asked them to take the watch that I purchased back, 12 hours after I bought it (and it was still unopened) and they said no. It is a Xmas gift and they still have a no return policy in the store. If you buy from Breitling.com, there is a 30 day return policy! I will not use the midtown store again. read more

The bf and I walked over to the shop, looking for a specific watchband for his watch. Upon entering, we were offered water and greeted warmly. The sakes staff is very attentive to the needs of the customer from the time to enter, until the time you leave. This (obvious) flagship location is absolutely lovely. It's an expansive, open-air space with modern touches to a classic 5th/Madison Avenue store. The entire space has different types of art work displayed and many comforts for the serious shopper. I been going to this store for the past 12+ years and purchased numerous watches from them. Few month ago came in and the services was horrible, gave them the benefit of the doubt, today went in again asking about a watch what we purchased from them and just needed battery, the sales person act like didn't want to help us and said, I'm guessing the battery change will be x amount. Excuse me? You can't go to your computer and find out how much it actually would be. Of course they didn't know I was in the market for an other watch. Went in yesterday after a long day of watch shopping. My wife and I were both a little over it. I have a Breitling so I know they're great watches, but wasn't sure if my wife would like them. We ended up not buying one there. So, why the 5 star review? Rokshana Patel is why. She is amazing. We had been getting the red carpet treatment all day from all the high end watch boutiques we went to, but Rokshana really stood out. She was without a doubt, the high point of our day. My wife even wanted me to buy a watch for myself just so we could buy something from her. She's a great ambassador to the brand. Sure she had the white gloves and the great company story, but she's also a beautiful person. Interesting, polite, down to earth, my wife and I are still talking about how sweet and helpful she was. It also doubles as my main dive watch. I never had a problem but recently the clasp on the deployment buckle became loose. I took it to the Midtown boutique to order a new part. The watchmaker took my watch, disappeared for 10 seconds and came back and said, 'Give it a whirl'. Clasp fixed and when I offered to pay he said no charge. Being a bit of a Breitling nut, I was extremely pleased when this store opened a few years ago. This has now saved me 3-4 trips up to the Connecticut service centre to get my various watches their needed overhauls, as I'm able to have my watches handed over to the service desk on the lovely and comfortable second floor and taken care of through the overhaul period. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and happy to go out of their way to adjust for customers with difficult schedules. I've found the Breitling store to be honest and upfront with me when it comes to repair timeframes, particularly with some of my rarer watches which require shipment to Switzerland to be repaired. Granted, the work is not cheap. But, if you are a Breitling owner and want to protect the tools/toys you bought and enjoy, this is where you come to get service done. Unlike Rolex, Breitling is gives a younger, hipper impression while maintaining the highest level of class. High end watches must be serviced and Pete's is no exception. In their estimate they listed non existing problems (damaged crown, damaged mat numerals, damaged crystal, etc.) Only for the replacement of the movement they quoted over $1,000 ! Have owned dozens of Breitlings in the last two decades and the quality of the watches, repair and customer service have all fallen off the Cliff. Dropped off an Emergency for service in March. latest update on the website is that the watch was to be done two weeks ago. Needless to say, that did not happen. Calls to the Breitling Boutique for the last three days went straight to voicemail. No one calls back. Multiple calls to Breitling in Wilton, Connecticut also go to voicemail and no one calls back. Emails are ignored. This required that I actually go to the boutique where I find that the watch is not done but they would let me know. When I complained about the utter lack of responsiveness and customer service, I got the shrugged shoulders...how do they stay in business?.....update: finally got the watch back after 4.5 months. Not a single return call or email from Breitling or the boutique...ever. Horrible customer service and a total ripoff of $600 for a battery service. Never again after owning 40-50 Breitlings in the last 30 years, will never buy another. read more

Worse service ever. Put in my watch for repair 3 weeks ago, no one called me, I had to call twice and walk into the store to get a price offer, which was ridiculous (450$ for a general check). They couldn't tell me when will the watch come back, as the factory is in vacation for 3 (!!) weeks!! Whatever you do, do not go there. Most flagship boutiques are stuffy and painful to be in, but I really enjoy the Breitling one. The staff is really helpful and not condescending and I love the vintage pieces they have on the second floor. Great service center as well, come here instead of Tourneau for sure. read more

What a place!!!!! As soon as the door opened we were greeted with a smile from the assistant manager Sara Beth who allowed us to browse first without being shadowed. When we were ready to inquire she promptly assisted us and provided multiple suggestions which made the decision making process very easy. Never did we once feel rushed or pushed. Honestly this is the way customer service should be. We initially went to the Torneau store opposite the Brietling store on 57th street and they treated us as if we were inconveniencing them. Major contrast and a massive sigh of relief when we walked into the Brietling store. I would suggest Torneau send some of their staff across the street to Breitling as a training exercise. Horrible experience with service.. They sent the watch to the CT. Repair facility only to come back damaged even more after 3 returns the watch still does not keep time correct nor does it hold Its proper power reserve. Sadly they are not owning up to it and only offered half a refund, what good is half or a whole refund when your watch doesn't tell the accurate time. VERY POOR customer service. read more

I love coming to this boutique! I could just browse and ogle the watches all day! I came in a few times with my ex to bring in his watches for service, and recently came in to bring my watch in for service as well. It took a while for me to get someone to help me when I came in. Once I went upstairs I was helped by Gaetan who told me that he would send me the invoice by email in a few days. I didn't receive my invoice in 6 days so I called, spoke with Aisha and my invoice was sent to the wrong email (even though it is CLEARLY printed on the receipt). I was finally able to approve the invoice via email and have my watch sent off for basic service, which will take about 4-6 weeks. And yes, when you bring the watch in you can tell them exactly what you want fixed. I know my watch has some wear scratches but I didn't want those fixed as it gives it a little character. I literally just needed my crown fixed. It's so hard to be without my favorite watch!! Hopefully these next few weeks goes by quickly and my watch will be back where it belongs, on my wrist. read more

Specifically, my Breitling representative, Leonor Beraldi, answered each of my detailed questions about various models (just about every watch in sight that I thought looked good) in plain and simple terms. Randomly came in and happened to find a watch band I've been eyeing for years, on sale for half the original price! This put me in such a great mood that I decided to treat myself & have my current band cleaned. The charge for cleaning was $70. When I returned (at the time they recommended pickup), I was advised the cleaning still wasn't complete. But because they recognized this was their error, my cleaning was changed to "on the house". Brought my watch here for service. My watch needed an overhaul. Took off a star for 2 reasons. 1- they said it would take 6 to 8 weeks to complete the service and have it back at the boutique. Which wasn't the case. Apparently the manufacturer was closed the entire August and they failed to give me heads up. Thus, getting my watch back after their 8 week quote. 2- "the complete overhaul" doesn't seem that it includes the replacement of a crown, which I think it needed. Other than that. I made a mistake sending my Breitling watch to Breitling service center in Connecticut. In their estimate they listed non existing problems (damaged hands, dented bezel, scratched crystal etc.) along with some add ons. The replacement of mechanism was quoted at $490 - almost double of the retail for a brand new one. Total bill with tax ran at around $700. I refused the service and serviced my watch at authorized repair shop at 1/2 the price. I realize that this is a luxury brand but it should not mean the service should be so unreasonable. read more

I'm very disappointed in the level of service I received in this store. My husband loves brietlings and currently owns three watches - a b50, an emergency, and a superocean. For Christmas I decided to purchase a set of straps for his superocean so he could change up the look. I drove all the way to NYC, paid for parking and tolls (parking was $40 and tolls are $15), and purchased them in store. I gave them to him on Christmas and he wasn't thrilled with them. He preferred the bracelet the watch came with. We again drove to the city, paid for parking, tolls etc. only to be told they do not give refunds. As a luxury brand they should inform you of this at the time of purchase. Inexpensive stores like forever 21 remind you of their return policy at the register, why shouldn't I expect the same from a high end retail? I expect more, I'm not a mind reader. We've purchased $30k worth of watches, they couldn't honor a $500 return? Very dissatisfied and we won't be returning. Not to mention my emails to them went overlooked for a month and a half. You expect great customer service from a high-end retailer, but Breitling really takes it a step further. My fiancé bought me Breitling as an engagement gift/30th birthday present (pretty good fiancé too, huh?), and Breitling really made us feel like we were the most important clients that ever walked through the door. From helping pick the perfect watch to locating that hard-to-find limited edition piece that they were able to have shipped directly from Switzerland, to champagne toasts and helping us coordinate an engagement celebration. Even regular follow ups post-sale to see how everything's doing with the watch and surprise packages with New Years greetings and a Breitling calendar, just to name a few. Much thanks to the whole staff who helped take care of us, but special shoutout to Roxy who really went above and beyond to make this a pretty incredible shopping experience. About two years ago, I purchased a watch directly from this store. My line of work is very physical so I don't wear my watch every day-- in two years, I've only worn it a handful of times, so it stayed in very good condition. For some reason, the watch stopped keeping time, so I brought it back to this store and was told there was an issue with the pin. When I arrived, I was told to wait in the service area. Four other customers came in after me and were all served before me. Mr Hernandez, approached me in a rude and unprofessional manner. Then he told me what was wrong with the watch without even consulting any microscopes or any other tools. As an experienced watch owner, this is the first time I've ever brought a watch in for a repair that was evaluated without any tools, so I was already wary of what I was being told. Mr Hernandez left and said he was going to get back to me in three days. Six weeks later, I get contacted by Mr Hernandez telling me that my parts are not under warrantee and he quoted me ~$1100 for the repair. I was skeptical of the quote, so I went to the store manager Anthony (who I actually purchased the watch from), and he was willing to help me and gave me a new quote for $400. Six days later, I get a call from Mr Hernandez saying that Anthony BELITTLED his quote and that the repair price is really $1100. I called back Mr Hernandez questioning how I could get a different quote with each conversation, and he cowardly and rudely hung up on me when the conversation stopped going his way. He also stopped answering my phone calls after that. As a business owner, if one of my employees hung up the phone on one of my customers I would immediately terminate them. Being the head man in charge of repairs, how could he get away with that?? On my was out of that store I was also told by his associates that this is not unusual behavior for him. After this, I was forced to drive 2 hours to the corporate HQ in CT to complain about my situation-- the watch is still not fixed at this point--thinking that they would stand behind their brand and rectify all of the nonsense I was dealing with. Corporate apologized for the behavior and quoted me a price of 980$. Now I had three different quotes from three different managers. In addition to this repair quote, they offered to throw in a 700$ leather wristband. I questioned them on this and asked if they could just take that off of the repair, and was told no, which didn't make sense to me. As of today, my watch is still not fixed and I totally resent doing business with Breitling. If I would have known it would be like this, I would have gone to Rolex. read more
