The old management team and doctors were the most amazing people we have ever encountered helping our pets. They were hands-on and genuinely loving and caring to the animals as well as the owners and they didn't overcharge or over bill. During the Covid season, our family had to put down one of our dogs. The vets were the absolute kindest and allowed us and our masks on to be in the room. A new team of doctors and management has taken over I am not at all pleased. They did tests on one of our dogs without talking to us first as to what tests would be done and at what cost. I walked out with an extremely high bill. I was told I could have a free check up in one week and they found something else to charge me for without even asking again and then wanted to throw a shot for $70 for who knows what and then more pills to take. They do tests and they do not tell you how much the tests are. I'm very disappointed in the direction that Blue Spruce animal clinic has gone because we really did trust the previous doctors.

Our family purchased a puppy that was unbeknownst to us very, very sick. From looking at it when we purchased it, he had lots of energy and was playful and affectionate. Fast forward 24 hours later, and he was vomiting and having explosive diarrhea. We had not established a vet in town, as this was our first family dog. I went online to find a local vet that had weekend hours, as he needed to be seen immediately. VCA Douglas County Animal Hospital is open 7 days a week (A MAJOR PERK!). I called, and Tracye (the person who answered the phone & an amazing person), was very concerned about our sick puppy and got us in immediately. Our poor sick puppy was in bad shape. The staff at DC Animal Hospital were absolutely amazing...I feel like we were meant to be together. Dr. Stone and Dr. Schmidt, along with the entire team took exceptional care of our sweet puppy, as he had to be hospitalized for several days. Lexie and the entire veterinarian support staff "behind the scenes" were instrumental in his recovery. Thankfully he is doing a lot better and on his way to making a full recovery. We can't thank the incredible staff and doctors at VCA Douglas County Animal Hospital enough for all of their care and expertise that it took to nurse our sweet boy back to health. We continue to use them as our vet and have never been more pleased.

The vet told my husband and I to give her a half a tablet a day and if it stops working to give her a full tablet. We recently went up to a full tablet. Her refills have been every 30 days. The vet asked us to call 24 hours in advance to fill her prescription. I have always called 3 to 4 days in advance because it's always a hassle. Every time I call I am told that the vet is not in, the vet didn't show up for her shift or the vet is too busy to talk to me about my pets needs. I called Saturday 1/24/26 to get her medication filled. I was told I would get a call later that day to pick up meds. I never received a call. I called Monday 1/26/26 and was placed on hold and no one picked up. I drove down to Banfield and the receptionist told me the vet was in surgery and I would receive a call that day to pick up meds. I told her I needed them as soon as possible because my dog is almost out. She said it wouldn't be a problem because she could get approval very quickly. I didn't received a call. The receptionist called me back today 1/27/26 and said I could pick up the medication before 5. I asked if she could verify with the vet that it would be ok to continue giving my dog 1 tablet a day. The receptionist called me back and said that the vet said it was ok but to split the pill up in 2 portions. I said ok. I just want to do what's best for my dog. I go in to get the medication and another woman tells me very rudely that it's not ok and if I want to give her a full tablet they need to run more bloodwork. I am told monthly that they need to run bloodwork. Blood work is $300 every time. My dog's blood work isn't due until May, so I asked to speak to the vet. I was told the vet was too busy to speak to me. The last time I spoke to the vet was about 6 months ago. I asked her why they're constantly requesting bloodwork. The vet said they shouldn't because blood work is done once a year. No one is on the same page with policy or procedures and there is someone new running the front desk every time I go in. Most of the receptionists lack professionalism and personal hygiene. I dread every encounter with this place because the staff makes everything harder than it needs to be. They are there to help animals but I get the impression they don't really care to.

After a horrible experience at a traditional veterinary office left my 14-year-old cat, Clarky, so traumatized and terrified that they couldn't even examine her because she became extremely aggressive out of fear, I was honestly dreading having to take her anywhere again. Having The Pawlyclinic come to my apartment was a complete game changer. Dr. Rahim was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly patient and gentle with Clarky, and she took the time to explain what she was doing and why throughout the entire visit. She also asked so many thoughtful, thorough questions about Clarky's diet, activity level, vision, behavior, and changes I've noticed as she's gotten older. I never felt rushed. What I appreciated most was that the visit wasn't just about treating her ear infection--it was also about looking at the bigger picture of keeping my senior kitty healthy and happy. Dr. Rahim gave me so much helpful information about things to watch for as Clarky ages, and I feel much more informed and confident about caring for her. Dr. Rahim and Avery were both so kind, calm, and compassionate with Clarky. She is VERY skittish around new people and definitely has a little spicy side , but they met her exactly where she was and treated her with so much patience and respect. It was such a relief to see her being cared for without the fear and struggle we experienced at the previous vet. I would HIGHLY recommend The Pawlyclinic to anyone with a nervous, fearful, skittish, or "spicy" cat--or honestly, any pet who doesn't do well with traditional vet visits. Having compassionate veterinary care come to your home can make such a difference. I'm so grateful we found them!

After multiple negative experiences at traditional clinics, switching to a mobile vet has been a game-changer -- no stressful car rides, and far better care. Dr. Rahim and her team are exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and patient. They take the time to help our cats feel comfortable, gently handle anything stressful, and clearly explain every step of care. I honestly learned more about my cats in one visit than I did in years at other clinics -- and the cost is very comparable to an in-office visit. Dr. Rahim's team quite literally saved one of our cats' lives this last Christmas. When he had stopped eating, grooming, and interacting -- and we thought that it was going to be time to say goodbye -- Dr. Rahim made multiple after-hours visits, coordinated surgery with an on-site clinic, and provided compassionate guidance through an incredibly difficult time. Thanks to her dedication, Meatball now eating, gaining weight, and getting back to himself. I cannot recommend Mobile Pawlyclinic highly enough for anyone looking for truly exceptional, compassionate veterinary care.

When I board him there for longer than a few days, I always sign him up for some extra play sessions or tennis ball day where they put out a ton of tennis balls and dogs can live their best life playing fetch, etc. I can't recommend them enough!
