It was the worst experience i have had. My dog was very sick and each time I went i saw a different doctor and there was no continuity of care. Two different times I called asking if a vet could call me about some questions and concerns I had and I never heard back. Yesterday I stopped into the clinic asking for a refill on nausea meds and was told that the pharmacy was backed up and someone would reach out to me when it was filled. We have gone to this practice for years. 3 years ago we took our Great Dane and got him neutered. He ended up with an infection. We spent hundreds of dollars for antibiotics to fix him up. That was a freebie. They badgered us to get an indoor cat her shots. We relented, they were aware of a bad reaction to the rabies vaccine. They gave her Benadryl. When we got home she didn't have use of her back leg. We bought her back in and $300.00 later from x-ray's they found no issues. Not one phone call from the vet. We love the front staff, and the technicians. Two weeks later she still cannot use her back leg. They advised us to go to an animal neurologist. We don't have the money to do that! Our cat was perfectly healthy, we brought her in after they insisted she needed a rabies shot. She never went outside! We cannot even talk to the veterinarian! We feel so guilty with no support. I cannot recommend this practice enough. The entire staff is amazing, and they do whatever possible to help if I have an issue with my aging pets. They are usually always able to get me in last minute if the need arises and are all so kind and caring no matter what the issue may be. They got him in asap, and they took really great care of him and gave me the medications after explaining everything to me. I have been going to them since 2013 when I got Chuey at two months and now he is 6 years and 4.5 months. He is always healthy but when he is not I take him to Plum Creek. My dog was spayed end of February 2022 at Plum Creek Vet in Castle Rock and they decided to vaccinate her during the spay without my approval. The vaccines given at the same time of her spay triggered an auto-immune response called Vasculitits which is inflammation of blood vessels resulting in compromise of blood supply to her hair follicles. It's from the overstimulation of the immune system. This diagnosis was from a Vet Dermatologist that we saw as she was losing her entire coat from March-May. She also saw a Veterinary Internal Specialist who also concluded her hair loss was due to the vaccine given at the same time of the spay. Let it be known that I did reach out to Plum Creek in March as my dog was loosing all her hair. They didn't seem to be concerned at all and never followed up on her condition which is why I took her to an Internal Specialist and a Dermatologist. Those two doctors worked together with doing a variety of blood panels and communicating with each other and me to find a resolve. I called Plum Creek to tell them what had happened and to please not give vaccines at the same time of a dog undergoing any type of surgery or being on any type of medication. I was very professional and was not asking for anything but an apology or some type of concern for what they did. The doctor dismissed my concern and then I received a letter stating that I was no longer allowed at their practice. Needless to say, I would never return to their practice after their unprofessional response to such an error on their part. read more

Our dog has been going there for years and this last visit they gave our dog a bird Stella vaccine when she hasn't had one since 2015. She doesn't need it since we never board her. I thought this info would have been in her file. Well after 7 yrs of this not being an issue, they vaccinated her. When I brought this to their attention, they said it would be in her file now but wouldn't provide a credit. It should have been in her file 5 years ago. read more

We previously used another Vet in Castle Rock but their quote for a dental cleaning & blood work was significantly more than a quote we received from Plum Creek so we thought we'd give them a try and we did not regret it! On top of their pricing bringing great, they were so sweet to our baby! They checked in right after her procedure & answered all our questions. My favorite part was when my husband picked up our dog, Lady. As he was waiting for her to come out, he heard everyone in the back say "BYEEEEE LADY!" It warms my heart that she was in such loving hands and treated like the pretty little princess she likes to think she is ‍ They also checked in the next day to see how was she doing - they genuinely care rather than money hungry like some vets can be! read more

I've been going here since the practice was in Dr Dave's yard ( almost 20 years) and I was very happy with them, even after they moved. The past couple of years I've been more and more unhappy because they don't ever have time to see my dog for weeks! I made an appointment weeks ago for my dog to get her yearly check up and shots and have her nails trimmed. They contacted me yesterday and asked if I could come in at 9:30am instead of the appointment I had made at 2pm. I said sure because I understand that things happen and being flexible helps. I then had an accident and hurt myself last night and need to go have an X-ray this morning so I called the vet, told them what happened and to see if I could bring my dog in later today or any time at all this week. They said no, we don't have anything for weeks (again). I've paid them so much money over the past years and they don't even know my name and will do nothing to help, even though I've been taking my animals there for a long time. Plum Creek Vets provided excellent care to my elderly dog. My dog had a lot of medical issues, and the vets were always available to help with problems or questions. The office staff were kind and polite. I felt that the vets were only ordering labs or studies that were truly necessary, and I also feel that their prices were fair and comparable to other vet clinics. Dr Vicky Eppard and the vet techs here are amazing! They've cared for our 3 cats and a dog, through some emergency situations, with the utmost in care and compassion. I find Dr Vicky to be incredibly technically competent and thorough as well as extremely compassionate. The staff is always courteous and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The outside of the building looks a little older, but the facility is clean with the latest in equipment. Not a good experience. Having just moved back to Castle rock, I took my 15-year-old cat in for her annual wellness exam, where they drew blood and did all of the normal things. She passed with flying colors, according to them. Within 4 days, I had to put her down ... and with $1200 spent, and numerous tests, no one had any clue what was wrong with her. I will not take any future animals to that vets office. read more

I cannot recommend Plum Creek Veterinary Services enough! I woke up with a pretty sick kitty on a Saturday morning and called my regular vet to see if I needed to worry about the symptoms my kitty was having and if they could possibly see us. They told me they wouldn't be able to get us in, but that we definitely needed to be seen. I called 3 other offices with the same result. My last call before heading to an emergency vet was Plum Creek and they told me they could squeeze me in for a quick check in an hour if I could get there! The office staff was amazing and the vet, Dr. Erika Miller, did way more than a quick check. She spent an hour with us, did a full work up, and cared for our kitty better than we could have ever hoped for at a new office and on short notice. They had to stop their Mobile Svc. because according to them their Vet is out sick. Don't know when in the future they will have it running again. They only have one Vet??? It is hard because my pet stresses out so much. Also she is now used to them. I liked the Vet and her Assistant. It is such a disappointment . I recently drove 6 hours and adopted a dog from Denver but the rescue group did not have the current rabies tag to give me. I contacted Plum Creek, the Vet that had given the dog it's Rabies vaccination and spoke to Leslie Barstad. She was so very cordial and helpful and offered to mail me a new one. I just received it in the mail, just two days later from my call to Leslie. I am so impressed with the great service and courtesy I got from Leslie that I wanted everyone else to know. It is uncommon nowadays to be treated so well and Leslie deserves to be recognized for it. read more

This was our first visit. It was for vacinations and nail trim for our 2 dogs. They took my lab to the back for a nail trim and I heard him cry out and I don't mean a yelp (pun not intended). The vet was not very personable. I have always had vets that got on the dogs level and gave them special attention. She listen to their heart and gave the shots, period. The most shocking was the bill. I expected it to include $20 for each nail trim (which I think that is robbery) but we were charged an extra $8 because it took 2 people to do his nails. Really?????? These guys deserve 10 stars. I had several friends go there over the years and so I decided to try them out a few years ago and I will never go anywhere else. They are very fair in their pricing. If you live in the Douglas county area they are worth the drive. I had to get my dogs teeth cleaned and so I called around Parker go get an idea of pricing. Most of the vets in Parker started at $750 with a $50-$100 charge per extraction. I called these guys and they started at $500 so I decided to go there. When we got there I asked the doctor after he looked at my dogs teeth if he thought he knew how many extractions she might need. He said he did a small dog about the same age as mine a week ago with about 5 extractions and it cost them $520. So I left my dog and they called after a couple of hours and said she did great but they had to take out a lot of teeth, 14 in total. I panicked and asked the lady how much the total bill was going to be she said she would have to call me back. So I paced until the phone rang but luckily she called back in a few minutes and I braced myself for the worst. However she told me that the doctor was going to go with the original price he quoted me $520. I was floored. These guys are seriously the best in the county. We have gone back many times and i plan on being a customer for life. They make you feel important no matter if you have a dog that has a lot of reoccurring problems or if you only go in once a year for a check up. I just can't say enough good things about them. I can go on and on but seriously if you are looking for quality care and don't want to pay the outrageous fees some of the vets in the surrounding areas have you need to go here. read more

An 9 year resident of Castle Rock, I have taken my pets to several veterinary clinics looking for the right one. I finally found Plum Creek Vets about 2 years ago.....I have to applaud the staff and doctors....their availability, compassion, professionalism, care and affordability are stellar. The staff is always friendly, the doctors know their stuff. My special diabetic cat had to be put down recently. He fell ill very quickly, unfortunately there was a mass in his stomach, prognosis for a long life was dismal, so we took him home on pain killer, spent another day saying our goodbyes and brought him back.
