I went to a second appointment, that was to be a simple follow up appointment to the first, which turned into a whole new scary possibility of a growth in the spleen. The next step was an ultra sound appointment. Something felt off to me. I cancelled the appointment. Went to another vet, did indeed do the ultra sound but not before spending a very long time in a consultation, not a quick 15 minutes. The ultra sound found nothing in the spleen. I was told by the 2nd vet, that the spleen can move and what was originally "seen" on xrays was probably a tip of the spleen. I understand that medicine is an opinion. However, I think that a little more common sense and not quickly ordered tests, exams and appointments would have served my dog, as well as myself, better. One last thing, after spending thousands of dollars, I was told that I have a healthy Aussie by vet #2.

We were heartbroken to learn he had a mass, and just a few days later, he was gone. But nothing could have prepared me for the complete lack of care that followed. We scheduled a euthanasia appointment--a heartbreaking decision--and I made one request: paw prints and a nose print. Something meaningful. Something to hold onto. I was clear about this. I've had it done before at another clinic, and it meant the world to me. Not only did NO ONE call me to let me know when the items were ready--I had to chase them down myself--but when I finally got them, I was absolutely shocked. What they gave me was barely recognizable as a print. Sloppily done, carelessly presented, and stuffed into a sympathy card... that they didn't even bother to send. This was my last chance to preserve a piece of him. And it was handled like an afterthought. I am heartbroken. I will never get that moment back. The lack of follow-through, the absence of empathy, and the sheer carelessness in something so deeply sentimental is unacceptable. If you are going through the unthinkable and want keepsakes that actually matter--go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Because here? They absolutely did not understand what this meant. And now I'm left with regret and a poor excuse for a memory I can't ever replace.

When the services were done (halfhearted antibiotics administration and then a referral back to our family veterinarian), I was in the car with our dog and tried to swap with my daughter where she brought the kittens back to the car so I could go in to pay and they said they couldn't "release" my daughter until I paid (???) I've been to a dozen veterinarians and this is SO weird; they never have a problem with things like this when they know you're out in the car. Anyway, the office person suddenly calls me, I gave her my card and it declined. I called my wife and she immediately transferred the funds. I called my daughter to tell them to charge the card I gave them since she was still in there. Daughter comes out so I assumed they "released" her because she said she gave them my message and then as I'm backing out, the office person comes running out in a dramatic panic and treated me like a total deadbeat trying to skip out on the bill. Mind you we've done ***TWO*** end-of-life procedures here totaling well over $2,000 which makes me a ***reliable customer*** so this mistrust over a $300 charge was wildly awkward. ANYway, never going back. Ever.

He was placed on long-term steroid treatment. After spending approximately $1,500 and keeping my puppy on steroids for close to 3 months. Dr Dobsom wanted my puppy on another month of steroids. My puppy got sick again this past Saturday with a 105 degree temperature. We rushed him the ER (AESC ) A second opinion was determined that the original diagnosis was incorrect and that our puppy should not have been on steroids for this length of time. This experience has been extremely concerning--not only due to the financial cost, but because prolonged, unnecessary steroid use can have serious health consequences. We trusted this clinic with our pet's care and feel that the misdiagnosis led to avoidable treatment and stress. I strongly encourage pet owners to seek a second opinion if faced with a serious diagnosis and long-term medication plan.

Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. I had to cancel the first appointment because I was not ready to say goodbye. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

When we started to notice both of our kitty's decline - one after the other - we weren't sure what to do. Seeing their active decline and wanting to keep them out of pain, we knew putting them at ease was for the best. THE hardest decision, but one that we knew was right. With our usual vet booked out for days, we opted to do a simple search for spots near our home who could assist in the process. Our main concern was keeping them comfortable and letting them go in a quick, sweet, painless manner, so after seeing WellHaven and the wonderful google reviews, we knew just the place. While we were there for other reasons than other Yelpers, we found WellHaven to be amazing. We were able to book appointments over the phone and online, speak with the nurses and doctor prior and say our goodbye's in a quiet and peaceful way. The staff is truly unbelievable in that they are insanely sweet, gentle and sympathetic. They were very professional, explained the process to us and allowed us to mourn as long as we wanted. Pricing is very reasonable for services and an additional outside service has paired with WellHaven to provide proper burial and cremation services for a small cost, while a paw print with your pets name stamped onto it is free of charge. We opted to get both girls' ashes which were ready less than a week later, which came in a beautiful small engraved box, which pairs perfectly next to their tiny paw prints! We also received cards in the mail signed by each member of the WellHaven team which was heartwarming and a very sweet touch. WellHaven also serves as a vet clinic, ortho clinic AND as a doggy day care/camp, and is NOT just a place for the sad stuff. When we are ready to adopt new pets, we will definitely return to WellHaven for amazing pet care.

None of these was the perfect scenario, and I always stressed so much while we were away, especially when we were out of the country. I have never felt so sure that my babies are getting the best care as I do when Tammy, Lee Ann, Jacquie, and Michelle are watching them. I schedule them to come 3 times a day and request an update at each visit. They go so far above and beyond what I expected. After EVERY visit I get a photoshoot of my pugs and kitty, and the pictures are so amazing. My husband and I end up laughing out loud constantly! I've hired them for weekend trips, a full week, and twelve days this last time and everything always goes great. Tammy has also helped me out in a pinch multiple times and done last minute visits when travel plans go differently than planned. I really cannot properly put into words how thankful I am for this company and these ladies! I will never hire anyone else as long as they are willing to put up with my little monsters.

They either lived to far for my comfort or charged way too much money for what I needed. Mary came to my home for the initial visit. I knew right away she was the one. She is super sweet with the dogs. I showed her around, we went over her rates and she provided some paperwork for the dogs needs and wants. She lives in mountains edge area so she does not charge mileage rates if you live near there and rhodes ranch is included.. Yippee! We went to our out of town trip and she provided photos each day. Fun stuff too! She took the dogs on walks and made sure they were fed and taken care of. She even caught my lab jumping in the pool to cool off after a walk. It was hilarious! When we got home our mail was collected and everything was in place. She left a log chart of the time she got in and left and what was done that day. It also showed if they were eating good, etc. She text me the night we got home to make sure the dogs were doing good. They were doing great, they were pooped! I definitely plan on using Mary again in the near future. Great service and in the Southwest!

Although calling them and begging them also works ;) They have a very good online scheduling site where you can book all of their visits. Enzo loves it there and I can vouch for him since I can go online and watch him through all of their cameras. This play does NOT have all day play, which I prefer since my dog would be exhausted if they did that. When I board him there for longer than a few days, I always sign him up for some extra play sessions or tennis ball day where they put out a ton of tennis balls and dogs can live their best life playing fetch, etc. I can't recommend them enough!

Today we picked up our cats Rosco…read moreand Keanu from a 10 day stay (8/15/2024-8/23/2024), this is their 4th stay in 2 years with Tails Up. We texted to check in on them everyday and were told they were great. When we picked them up today though, it was clear they have been having diarrhea, with Rosco having lots of poo matted in his fur. They never let us know they were showing signs of illness, even with our daily check ins. They said nothing at pick up. Additionally, when picking up they informed me I could not go into the cat room to get them but had to wait and have them do it due to "the room being under construction" - that was a first but okay. They come out with my cats in their carrier and a bag with two of my cats toys and another animals medication, handing it to me saying this was theirs. I notified them it wasn't and instructed them we were missing a bag of many toys, a wand, blankets, etc. and their medication and treats. She came back with just the medication, told me I was good to go. Again asked about the bag of toys and blankets. Went back and brought just the bag of toys, said I was good to go. This went on for a total of 5-6 trips to bring us the rest of our stuff. She ended up still missing some wipes and our food scoop, but we didn't realize till we got home. The blanket we left in Rosco's crate also was in the laundry for some reason, they have never washed their bedding before which also tells me he must have had diarrhea bad enough to have to clean his bedding. We are very unsure if another animal's medication was administered to our cats based on this interaction, the diarrhea, and them acting very oddly since being home. Keanu keeps waking up in a panic from his naps like he is having bad dreams. It genuinely seems like they were not taken well care of while there. We are afraid they were administered medication that wasn't theirs and they could be sick from it. And they seem skittish and afraid. I do not know what the people at Tails Up did to them this time for them to react this way. They have been boarded for more than 10 days each time, and never come home like this. I texted their number right when we noticed they had diarrhea caked in their fur to ask if they had been sick, why we hadn't been notified if they had, and whether they had been administered another animals medication -- no response over 12 hours later. I have sent an email as well tonight, no response. Never received a "report card" either, even though their app notified me one should be available, which seems even more suspicious -- we have always received it right after check out. TLDR; I can no longer recommend this facility. They seemed to have misled me when checking in on their well being and his that they were having bad diarrhea, were completely disorganized on pick up (which is a first), lost several of our items, tried to give me another animals medication instead of their own to take home, and may have administered another animals medication to my cats. I cannot trust them to care for my cats and be conscious of their safety while boarding there, and my cats are acting traumatized now that they are home. Spend your money somewhere that you pets will be safe.

Dr. Vickers and the office staff were amazing!! Recently, my son's guinea pig broke it's leg. The office staff squeezed us in on an emergency basis in less than an hour! Dr. Vickers was honest and went above and beyond by consulting another veterinarian that specializes in guinea pigs about our little guy. And when an unprecedented break was found, they made a special splint. To top off the whole experience, they were beyond reasonable about the price! We are all afraid we will have to mortgage our house when we go to the vet on an emergency basis and CP Veterinary Clinic made a very unpleasant experience so much more bearable! read more

We have been to a lot of veterinarians through the years, but since we were referred to Dr. Vickers five years ago, it is the only place we will take ours dogs. They are friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. They truly care about the well-being of our dogs. Dr. Vickers doesn't rush appointments, explains everything thoroughly, and he doesn't recommend unnecessary procedures as we have experienced with other veterinarians. I had been going to a chain vet in Castlerock. My dog had some problems and they just kept wanting me to bring him in and spend more $$$. They wanted to run more blood work ($240) + another appt. ($40-50)I felt like we were not getting the care we needed. I was given a recommendation to see Dr. Vickers. After analyzing my dogs medical records and talking with me Dr. Vickers made a plan. Zero stars. Absolute worst veterinary experience we've ever had in 20+ years of pet ownership…read more We've been here a handful of times and every time has been worst than the last. The vet (Dr. Emily) does not listen to concerns or answer questions properly before walking out of the room and having a tech come in with a full list of treatments we didn't ask for. Our latest visit, we tried to do simple in-house bloodwork that we've been told more than once offer same day results or next day but were told today they couldn't do that and it would be the following week. Our dog likely won't make it through the weekend and we were just looking for some level of confirmation that things had progressed. Will never come back here and if you're looking for veterinary care, I would urge you to find somewhere with more compassion and not a staff that just wants to charge you $1k every visit.

This was an amazing experience from booking an appointment, communication before appointment,…read moreactual appointment and then after! I emailed on a weekend, asking about pricing. They emailed me back first thing Monday morning, providing information. They followed up with a text to see if I wanted to move forward and when I said yes they called. I was able to get in next day! The evening before I set up my portal account and sent my pups records. On appt day, we were greeted so warmly, like they already knew us, and placed us into a private room. I had a nice chat with a vet tech while she asked questions, and 5 mins later we were with the Dr! He sat on the floor with my nervous pup, got to know us and then took her back for assessment. He avoided intrusive procedures, rather offering less expensive alternatives and gave an over all heath assessment. They checked me out and the cost was very reasonable. While on my way home, they texted lab results that my pup was healthy and good to go! I am so happy I found Hess Ridge. You can tell they love what they do and care to build relationships with you and your fur baby.

One of the vaccines was out of stock and scheduled to be delivered later that day. Dr. Skarie truly went above and beyond by offering to have one of his technicians come to our home in Elizabeth to administer the shot -- saving me a return trip to the office. First visit today with our three babies -Rocky, Pilot and Penny! (English Bulldog, Mix,…read moreYorkshire). They had so much patience with us due to two vets before, different schedules of shots we wanted to merge to one cycle. Our two oldest ones are simple but our Yorkie was a tazmaine devil. Overall they (two assistants and Doc-Shannon-I think) were Proffesional, patient, and very sweet to our little guys. Thank you for the courtesy. It's a bit more expensive here then at other locations but the convenience of a local vet I hope is worth it's weight in gold!
