I cried when I saw the prints from my daughter's newborn photo shoot! That's how incredible Brenden is! Brenden took both our maternity and newborn photos. She captured the beauty of my pregnancy even when I wasn't feeling totally beautiful at 36 weeks! As for newborn photos my husband and I call her the baby whisperer because she was able to get our daughter in the most adorable positions with no fuss and the pictures are just amazing! Our daughter needed a couple of diaper changes and a feeding during the shoot and Brenden was so patient and helpful. She also pulls out all the tricks to make sure baby in content and happy for a successful shoot such as sound machine, heater, and a gentle comforting touch. The props, blankets, and headbands she has are absolutely adorable which means one less thing new mommies have to shop for. I loved the convenience of going to So Cute Photo studio and not having to worry about tidying my home especially after giving birth. Brenden is flexible since no one knows when your baby will arrive! My advice to expectant mommies is to BOOK NOW before baby's arrival!! Because, my goodness, I don't know how anyone can plan a photo-shoot in the first couple days after having a newborn. Brenden is awesome! I am late with this review (by 5 months, oops), but definitely want to share our experience with others. Brenden was extremely responsive and understanding of how long the process could take, giving us ample time to get great pictures of our little girl with time to breastfeed and take breaks between picture sets. Her props were great too--she had a ton of variety when it came to headbands, hats, and swaddles. The sets were adorable too! She is obviously a professional when it comes to staging and knowing just how to work with newborns, quickly and gently. She was on top of everything, and was not only accommodating, but patient and so sweet! She really cared that we were happy with our photos too, and took the extra time. We had an excellent experience. We had twins born premie and were in the hospital a couple weeks. Once home we had difficulty finding a photographer that could do it on short notice. Got lucky and found Brendan on yelp. Here are my positives...I have nothing negative to say about my experience....which is rare! Pros: -Very professional arriving early, prepared and ready to go. Brenden has become our family's photographer over the last 2 + years. We started with maternity photos when I was pregnant with my first son. She made me feel comfortable and helped me pose. I love that! I am not a model so please tell me where my head should be! She is so thoughtful and patient. Once I had the baby we did our newborn photos. We have done her mini holiday sessions each year and milestone sessions including 6 months, 18 months and 2 years for my boy! Every session is captured perfectly! Her editing is beautiful. The lighting always ends up looking like out a magazine. There have been sessions that my son wanted nothing to do with. I walk away thinking, well I hope she got one smiling photo. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Brenden for two shoots - maternity shoot and then a newborn / family shoot and couldn't be more pleased. I would give Brenden more stars if I could! She is very creative with her maternity shoots - She even had a pop up tent my wife used to change in as we were shooting outdoors. She gave us tips on how we could pose for the shoots and kept us comfortable throughout. For the newborn shoot Brenden really took into detail things like warming up the room and had a list of items on hand at the studio incase new sleep deprived parents forgot to bring them (diapers, wipes, etc). Talk about going the extra mile for your customers! She has a vast collection of props - my baby would have happily napped in her basket of fuzzy blankets all day. Brenden is absolutely amazing! I would recommend her to anyone! She did my maternity photos and the newborn photos for said maternity shoot. She is very detailed and was happy to guide me through posing (which I am terrible at) and was quick to set up and get many different shots. I did not have much of a plan going in but she did which I was thankful for and the photos she got are amazing! She had a dress I could use and fabric to drape on me and my belly (the look I was going for). I am not one to enjoy photos of myself but felt the need to commemorate the pregnancy and the pictures are worthy of hanging on the walls in my house! The newborn shoot was also fantastic! I am amazed that she got photos of my baby that look like images you'd find in a calendar! She had everything - wraps, hats, baskets, extra diapers, even pacifiers (but asked before using them). Had a newborn photo session with Brenden for our second son. We emailed to book on short notice but Brenden was more than accommodating to us and was able to put us on her schedule without a problem. The day of the photo shoot Brenden arrived just on time to our house and unloaded a car full of wonderful props and accessories including hats, blankets, baskets and more that she had picked out to go with our nursery theme. She spent ample time taking pictures of not only my newborn but also my 2 year old son who was having a very rough day and was very far from pleasant to deal with. I was not optimistic about getting a family shot because of my older son's behavior but when I got the folder of pictures from Brenden through some act of god she got an amazing shot of all of us that is absolutely perfect. I booked an outdoor maternity shoot with Brenden. My husband and I are extremely satisfied with the outcome and here is why: -- She was punctual and efficient -- Prices were reasonable -- I LOVED how she gave us direction on what to do. For example "chin up more" or "bring your arm this way" -- My wedding photographer told us " just act natural" ...what the heck does that mean? I need direction...I'm no model ;) -- She made sure the photos would come out perfect. My hair is really curly and it was windy outside....she would stop shooting and re-adjust my hair so it wasn't in my face -- Being 8 months pregnant at the time, I didn't feel completely confident with certain body parts, but she made sure to position me and work her magic a certain way that when the final images were sent to me I adored them and was relived that I actually came out decent -- She made my husband and I both feel comfortable -- She has so many ideas on different positions and poses. Very creative. -- She responds to her email/messages quickly and is happy to answer any questions -- The whole process was painless and stress free Overall...A++ experience. I loved basically ALL the images and that's rare for me. To receive our final images it took about 2 weeks. We paid half when we booked our session (to hold a spot) and the other half when we did the shoot. We had the option to pay with Paypal or a regular credit card. You receive a link with all the photos and you can download all the photos to your computer (or your mobile phone.) You can also purchase prints off the website your photos are on or take them somewhere else and print them. read more

We had our family picture done last fall with Brenden. Our toddler that day absolutely refused to cooperate during the entire session. We spent most of the time struggling to get him to at least look at the camera instead of running off. I almost threw in the towel. Brenden's amazing patience and energy were what kept the session, which could have easily crumbled, in one piece. After the session, I really didn't have much hope for our pictures. I was sure the pictures would be of us chasing our toddler or struggling to hold him as he tried to escape. However, when we received our photographs, I was blown away. Brenden is amazing! She recently spent the day shooting my six day old daughter and I can honestly say her patience and attention to detail cannot get any better. At just six days old, my baby was still adjusting to the outside world and Brenden took her time calming her down, positioning her just right, and taking every bit of fussiness in stride. She will work forever to get the perfect shot, smoothing blankets and waiting for the baby to fall asleep so she can position them just right. Side note, she's excellent at calming fussy babies! She spent over five hours in an 85 degree (must be warm for the baby) room shooting pictures. In just a couple days, I had teasers to share, and then a few more days after that, the full package. She brings tons of stuff to the shoot to match the baby's coloring, personality, etc. Her shots are creative and but not too overdone and staged.
