Overflowing trash next to sink and heater plugged in under sink next to paper trash

When asked to substitute a salad for both the mashed potatoes and corn, we were each served a slice of meat (mine... salmon, my date... steak) on a bare plate. It was weird and the salad was definitely in lieu of 2 veggie portions, but was a very tiny salad on a small plate, not really equal portion at all. We still paid full price and left hungry. The restaurant had opened at 3, we arrived at 5 and there were maybe 3 other parties in the restaurant with us at the time, but both the men's and women's restrooms had the large paper towel trash cans overflowing the bins with paper trash all over the floor and there was no toilet paper in the ladies room stalls and the ladies room small stall trash cans were also full. The trash was clearly from the day before (or longer...). It was really gross and uncomfortable and disappointing. Right below the sink was a plugged in heater which was close to the water and it felt unsafe, even with the heater off since it was 75 degrees outside and not even needed. It seemed hazardous. This was our second time to eat there and for a $65 meal for 2, sadly, it just wasn't the quality we expected for the price.

I came on Saturday the 15th for the Car Show. Per John's…read moresuggestion, I decided to try the upstairs. The upstairs bartender (sorry I did not get you name) was great. Bloody's were very good. Not sure what was in the pitcher, but they were not made by pouring out of a bottle of Zing Zang. (which I do like btw) This is in a very rustic, hastily put together space, and now that the problem child is gone. it is time for some upgrades and a makeover - as John has suggested. You have your proof of concept, now just dress it up. A suggestion on the sound. It was pretty much inaudible upstairs. I could hear that ya'll were talking - just very hard to make out the words. Which was a shame because I really wish I could have made out the Q&A Session better. I saw speakers everywhere - they just were not sending words to me. Not sure if it was better downstairs.

Once I arrived I knew I was right by the amount of Harleys that were outside. Some Custom some Stock. Even the parking out front was reserved for Bikes. If you like riding to Strokers in Dallas you will love Roadhouse. If you are in North Texas and you head here you will not be disappointed. From what I understand the establishment is under New Ownership. Management, from my experience is killing it. The menu has a lot of options and literally everything wa appealing. I'm a Wing guy so that was a given. Big Wings cooked and seasoned perfectly served with what might be the best hand cut Onion Rings I had in a long time. If I remember there were like five flavors and I'm sure there was no bad choice on flavors. There is also a Steakhouse from what I'm told serves a very good Rib Eye. I should also mention the Burgers were said to be the best around. The Bartender Jennifer was very nice and made some tasty Cocktails. They also had a very good selection of Beers and some that seemed to be Texas favorites lol. I had a chance to talk to the Manager Reggie who was a nice guy. He said they have live Music some days. The place was.complete with a Stage and an area for Dancing. He said Ted Nugent was there recently. Definitely it my thing but to each his own. It's off the beaten path but as I said a great place to go to get away for a few Hours. Next time I'm in Fort Worth I'll probably go again. Especially if I find a business that Rents Bikes. Still thinking about those Wings. Lol. Yallhollatchaboy'.

The rustic setting, unique décor, and friendly staff make it an experience--not just a stop. It's quickly become one of my favorite hidden gems in the Hill Country. Spoiler: it's basically a drunk DIY project gone wrong. The drinks? Beer bottles and wine in solo cups. Fancy, right? Mixed drinks don't exist here--unless you count the owner mixing up his ego with basic customer service. Speaking of the owner, he thought it was appropriate to accost my mother (in her mid-60s, mind you) for not tipping. For what service? We ordered at the bar, carried our own food, poured our own drinks... What's next, we tip ourselves for breathing? Bottom line: this isn't dining, it's self-serve misery with a side of attitude. If you enjoy being disrespected in a plywood shack, congrats--you found your spot. Otherwise, run.
