If he tells you that you need a crown..get a second opinion. He told me I needed 2, I got a second opinion and I didn't need 2 crowns!! If your parent needs dentures.. DON'T get them from Dr Nichols!! If you want Invisalign..don't trust this dentist! My friend had them for a year ( he said it would be 3 months) after a year she finally got the stuff removed and one of her teeth was longer on one side, so he ground her tooth down!! DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SURGERY. I've been here a few years for cleaning and it was ok. When Brent got his weekend certificate for Pinhole surgery, he was promoting it. Before that, he told me not to do any surgery. I was in a venerable state so I agreed with the procedure. I trusted him until his true behavior came. He lied about everything. He even didn't return the money for the service that was unrendered. THE CONSULTATION: Brent told me that the pinhole procedure just involves the detachment and lift of the gum. THE SURGERY: As Brent was performing the surgery, all he did was talk so much about how misbehave, spoil, and entitled his kids were to me and his tech. I should have told him to stop talking and focus on the surgery. THE POST SURGERY: The procedure was a failure. Not just that Brent removed my enamel without my consent. Has I known this was included in the procedure, I would have not done it. He told me that just "smoothen". It was still not a consent to do so. I got consultation from other doctors, and they told me that he over did the shaving of my enamels. I have photos of it if you like to look at it. Other doctors like Peter Nordland said the Pinhole surgery shouldn't have been performed on my recession. I filed a complaint to the medical board, and Brent Nichols is undergoing the investigation. At best Brent Nichols can perform hygienists level work or if you want to hear him complain about his kids, go to him. I highly would not let him perform any surgery. read more

When I went in to ask about my bill they admitted they had another person in the billing department that "messed" up some things and they brought in an outside company to clean everything up. read more

I'm going to give them 3 stars. I've always taken good care of my teeth and always they have always been healthy. Pros: They are nice and friendly, half the time they do good work. Cons: always in a rush. Rarely check in with you to remind you about being due for check ups or follow ups from previous visits. Neglecting work that needs to be done (we will do it next time) Instead of preventative it was more like reactive work. Bad experience #1) After a root canal ( done by their office) the cap caused "staining" (that's what I was told) of the neighboring tooth and it was nothing to worry about. That root canal ended up getting infected about a year later and I had emergency surgery (was referred else where) cuz they couldn't do the work. No big just annoying and painful. Maybe the infection was random... Bad experience #2) after the surgery... Bret's office never checked back in with me. Apparently I was supposed to get the tooth cemented again. This turned into a slow process of my post decaying entirely during covid times. Which means I lost that tooth. Upon going in I found out there was no tooth left and the cap would likely fall off anytime and it did shortly after. On top of that the "staining" of the neighboring tooth had turned into a good size cavity. That they put off treating... it was bizarre in terms of their treatment and solution. For the time I took ownership of this but at the same time, after referring out for emergency surgeries was never followed up with to handle anything else needing to be done or just a hey how did it go? Bad experience #3) after requesting to look into an implant for the now missing tooth. I was told they have to submit a request for pricing... after 3-4 weeks. I never heard a peep from the office in regards. Bad experience #4) the day before my last scheduled appointment I was told in the 11th hour they had to reschedule me because the office moved locations. That was the final straw. In the end I have no idea why my experience seemed to be dropping off because it started off good. It seems maybe I fell through the crack I just don't know. What I can say is my new dentist is on top of things like I would expect from a dental office. read more

I love my dentist! I've been going to Dr. Nichols for years. He is so thorough, honest, and experienced. I have seen him for cleanings, exams, and fillings. He has always helped me, and I have always had painless procedures. My dental work has always been wonderful! I am grateful for him and his meticulous care toward his patients. I recently went to Dr. Nichols and had my teeth deep cleaned. They charge me over $700 for the top teeth only. It would've been 1400 for top and bottom. The dental assistant spent maybe 10 minutes cleaning them - No scraping just a water pit.I can't remember a time I have felt more taken advantage of. I went in for a cleaning and they scared me into getting a deep clean saying I might lose a tooth and then charged me $700 for 10 minutes. He is a great dentist and he actually cares. I feel very bad for him and his staff. He bought this business and inherited a big hornets nest of problems. The last dentist left a lot of us in the middle of procedures. I was in the middle of getting implants and now Dr. Nichols is left with the problems. I'm glad we have him as our dentist now. He explains everything. Unfortunately a lot of us were very angry, me included, but it's NOT Dr. Nichols fault. We were told stuff by the last dentist that wasn't true and they kept really bad records. This is stuff Dr. Nichols and his staff have to deal with daily and it sucks. The office of Dr. Brent Nichols and his staff are horrible. I went in for an exam, then made a follow up appointment for work. I left work early to meet the appointment time, when I showed up to the office, the office was closed. I called the next day and was told, we are sorry let's get you rescheduled. They rescheduled for today. I showed up on time for my appointment, I V was directed to sit in 1 of 3 chairs the office has and the Dr. would be right in. 45 minutes later, I was still sitting in the chair while the Dr,was seeing other patients. I got up and left. They over schedule and make you wait, no respect for your time. I'm out.... read more

I went it in to see Dr. Nichols, and because he over books, he is always in a rush, and because if that rush he doesn't do a great job at all. I wanted my teeth whitened, and they did that, and because Daria didn't have me on schedule (which seems to be typical of them), she has me go into the Dr.. Office to do the impressions for my mold for teeth whitening. She said she wasn't going to charge me. I go in for my filling, and Dr. Nichols leaves extra film in there, that I go home with film still on my teeth. Also, when I went in for my cleaning, the hygienist happened to remove the filling. Then Daria was trying to charge me for the impressions, when she initially said she wouldn't. I stopped going to these people and found a much better place to call my dentist. An overbooked dentist only wants money and does not care about your satisfaction. read more

A good friend of mine highly recommended Dr. Nichols. It was literally the best advice I've ever gotten. Dr. Nichols is fantastic! His fees are reasonable and his dental skills are top notch. I saw Dr. Nichols initially because I had one broken and one cracked tooth. Personally I didn't think either tooth could be saved. After some x-rays and a consultation with Dr. Nichols, he got down to work and thankfully he was able to save both teeth. I could not possibly be any happier with his work! Recently, while flossing, I had a filling fall out and was really worried about how much it would cost to fix. So after calling around to some well rated dentists Dr. Nichols was the only one that offered a free consultation to check out my tooth before giving me a price. At the consultation they actually took X-rays of my tooth to get a proper look at it before deciding anything. Then Dr. Nichols had a look, told me what he thought and told him to let them know if I wanted to schedule an appointment to fix my tooth. He was professional and thorough, all while being friendly and relaxed, making me really comfortable. The price they quoted me was VERY reasonable, and even though I ended up rescheduling my next appointment 3 times, usually fairly last minute, they never gave me attitude for it, which I appreciated. Another big fan here. Can't say enough good things about him. My family and I has been going to see Dr. Nichols for a few years now. Dr. Nichols is professional with a relaxed, funny and personable approach. His staff is very professional, and attentive to details. I really enjoy how I get a call reminding me about my appointments, rather than a call telling me that I missed my appointment. As with all dentists, we make appointments so far in the future that they creep up on you, and before you know it, you've missed your appointment. The reminder is a great thing. Dr. Nichols replaced a couple of crowns for me awhile back, and the whole process was comfortable and smooth. The new crowns he gave have never caused any problems. No longer did I have to deal with pain while eating ice cream. His office is right near the beach, and is nice and relaxed. But don't let the relaxed atmosphere fool you. This office is outfitted with top of the line technology. From ipods that you can listen to while they clean your teeth, to lasers. Upon talking to Dr. Nichols, I discovered that he uses lasers to work on things like gum problems. Lasers mean no pain! But for me, the real selling point with Dr. Nichols, is the patience and care he shows towards my wife and son who is eight. Thanks to his innovative approach of laser surgery to cure gum disease I no longer have an infection on my gum. The procedure was pain free, quick and inexpensive. I was able to get it done while pregnant. Other Doctors told me I couldn't get it done until the baby was born.They also wanted to charge a lot more and perform a more intrusive type of surgery. Both Dr. Nichols and Darla his assistant are great people, very friendly, personable and down to earth. Unlike other dentist offices they don't see $$ signs on people's mouths. My first consultation was free which made me feel very comfortable with his approach. Before I found him I visited 3 different dentists and by far their service was the best. Let me just start by saying that I have been to a number of different dentist in the past and Dr. Nichols is by far THE BEST dentist I have ever been to. Him and his staff are knowledgable and extremely friendly. He explains things in a way that doesn't make you feel guilty for doing certain things (like drinking coffee and "forgetting" to floss) and gives you lots of ideas to help you prevent problems instead of having to fix them in the future. He's very knowledgable and explains everything that is going on and unlike a lot of dentists doesn't try to convince you to do unnecessary things just to try and get a bigger bill out of you. Dr. Nichols and his staff are very pleasant to work with. I am very picky when it comes to mine and my kids dentist, and I have been a patient here for over 5 years. It's located right across the beach so it's always a nice drive. Parking might be a little hard however. They always work with my insurance company and are very reasonable. read more
