I decided to try a different dentist for my routine cleaning, and I had such an amazing experience at Smile Cafe Dentistry. Deanna was my dental hygienist, and she took such great care of me. Getting a cleaning isn't always the most comfortable experience, but she immediately put me at ease. She was very gentle, listened to my concerns, addressed all of my needs thoughtfully, and properly educated me on prevention and maintaining good oral health. Before my appointment was over, she had Dr. Khan examine me to see whether braces or Invisalign would be a better option for me. The dentist and dental hygienist were both excellent--professional, knowledgeable, and confident in their work. I had a very positive experience with the quality of care they provided. However, I found the pricing for ceramic crowns to be significantly higher than expected. I was quoted approximately $2,500 for a crown with the necessary foundation work, which seems well above the typical rates in the Huntington Beach area. In my experience, comparable treatment can be found at a lower cost in nearby Newport Beach. Additionally, the office is on the smaller side, and parking is limited, which can make visits a bit less convenient. Sorry, Dr. Khan--your expertise is priceless... unfortunately, my wallet strongly disagrees. LOL read more

I was experiencing TMJ and was in need of a solution. I was told things to avoid that would make it worse. Simple but nonetheless helpful. I also was given option for treatment and opted for a new night guard. It's a sort of hybrid I think they called it. Anyway, it feels very comfortable unlike my old one. updated review: I needed an infected tooth extracted the other day and It couldn't have went any better. Doctor Khan and Art tag-teamed in removing my tooth so gently and confidently. It was painless, efficient, quick, and the post care was a lot better than I thought. The technique they used in numbing me made it so comfortable, and I absolutely hate needles. I don't have as much experience with the doctors because I haven't needed any major teeth work beyond cleaning, but they have provided consultations around my gum recession and Invisalign. The owner for the Invisalign program at the office has done a fantastic job getting my teeth where I want them to be and I couldn't be more thankful for that. Dr. Khan is super sweet and caring. He is the only dentist that I know that checks up on you to see if you are feeling okay before after a procedure. I called Smiles Cafe and explained to the front desk staff that I was in a lot of pain and was hoping to see a dentist. They were able to get me an appointment within an hour of my call. I went to Dr. Khan as a new patient due to pain from my upper left wisdom tooth which turned out to be infected. Dr. Khan was thorough in explaining all of the options in order to remove the tooth. I was extremely nervous but decided to go ahead and remove the tooth in the same appointment. He numbed the area and made sure that I felt zero pain. He was extremely patient and kind. His staff was amazing and I truly had the best experience. I have always been terrified of going to the dentist, however, now I am confident that Dr. Khan and his staff will provide excellent care. The day I got my braces off, I knew I wanted to get my teeth whitened so I got on Yelp. I was able to make an appointment for the next day which was really nice. I arrived to the appointment and realized how tough parking would be. They have a tiny lot they share with other offices. Street parking is available but insane since it's next to Pacific City and the beach. Walked in and was met with a smile by the gal at the front desk, she was really sweet and I didn't have to wait very long to be seen. One of the Dentists came in and did a quick exam to make sure that I was a candidate for whitening. Once that was done, the tech came in to prep and start the treatment. He was nice enough but was so busy chatting that he didn't pay attention to much else. My whitening experience wasn't the greatest however Dr. Kahn reached out and was incredibly kind and understanding. He genuinely cared about making my experience better and I can't thank him enough. Dr. Khan is absolutely incredible. I mean, who actually likes their dentist? I spent three and a half decades going to random dental offices, not knowing any of them. I would go once or twice a year. Sometimes I'd see the actual dentist for a few minutes, but more often than not, I would just get a cleaning from a random person I'd never see again. Then my office would close or my insurance would change, and I'd try to find somewhere else to go. Now that I've found Dr. Khan, I hope to never change again! He's sweet, caring, personable, understanding, empathetic, thorough, and (add just about any positive adjective possible)! He knows me and my family, asks about my kids, and really cares about his patients. He follows up with you after his services and makes every effort to provide all that he can. He helped me when I had an emergency situation with one of my teeth, he took the time out of his schedule to meet with my mom about an emergency issue and gave her his opinion (at no cost!), he fixed my fiancé's tooth when he broke it, and most recently, he's been guiding and assisting me with my son's dental problems. He gave me a referral, still answered my question even though it had nothing to do with his practice, consulted with the pediatric dentist on his own time, and even made the time to talk to me at length about the situation in order to allay my fears and provide me with support. Dr. Khan goes above and beyond. I trust him, I respect him, and I highly recommend him and his practice to anyone looking for a dental office to call their home. read more
