Therefore at night not much traffic comes through the store or the street for that matter. I frequent this store a few times a week, and have always had excellent and friendly service from all employees except for tonight. I walk in, only customer, and proceed to the register. The female working had her cell phone in hand above the register, so I was in her direct line of sight. She never acknowledged my presence, no greeting, so I then said I'll have four packs of Marlboro Silver 100's, please. I had ID in hand as your staff always cards me, but she never asked for ID. She then put down the phone, moved slowly to reach for the packs - had she moved any slower she'd have been going backwards - rang up the packs, then walked over to the front window. Guess she assumed that I was paying by card and not cash. She never told me the amount of the purchase, so I asked if we were good, and what's my total. Her reply: you saw me ring 'em up, I put the smokes in the bag, the price is right there. Two other customers had entered the store by now, so instead of taking issue, I stated that I'd talk to the manager tomorrow. Her response: I don't care who you talked to, and then kept on with attitude about what she had done for the purchase. I departed. Tomorrow I will speak to the manager, and have this comment in hand for her review and whatever corrective action that she deems appropriate. Your employee has attitude, and I see it as all about my race. Won't happen again as I will not be as nice as this evening. Make sure you get a free Kroger Plus membership so you can take advantage of in-store savings, digital coupons and fuel points. You get one fuel point for every dollar you spend so if you spend over $100 in a month you get a 10 cent per gallon discount at the pumps. Spend over $200 and you get a 20 cent discount, over $300 for a 30 cent discount and so on up to $1 per gallon discount if you spend over $1000 in a month. The fuel points you earn in one month are redeemable the following month. Any unused points expire at the end of the following month. If you regularly shop at Kroger you can really save a lot of money on fuel. Fuel savings are limited to 35 gallons which is pretty generous. If you set it up right you can bring two vehicles and fill them both up. The normal posted gasoline prices are usually fairly competitive but certainly not the cheapest however when you couple it with a discount it usually ends up being the cheapest option in my local area. Choose from regular, mid-grade, premium or diesel. Even if you don't have available fuel points you will still save 3 cents a gallon with your Kroger Plus card. This facility is new so everything is clean and organized and in proper working order. There are plenty of pumps and I've never had to wait more than a minute or two to find one available. Just scan your Kroger Plus card and the display will ask you how much of your available discount you want to use then scan your credit card and pump your fuel. The spacious layout of the plaza provides easy access in and out.

Exit the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel at the first exit heading east, towards the beaches. It will be almost immediately on the left on Shore Drive, the road you exited to. For those of us that are locals, exit Northampton Boulevard (Hwy 13) to the east on Shore Drive, the last exit before the CBBT. It is almost immediately on the left, just beyond the new Chesapeake Beach Fire & Rescue Station. The pricing is comparable to the nearest gas stations, Wawa & Kroger. But I think the access is easier, especially for travelers. The station is clean, safe & well lit. I've never gone inside. So I can't speak to that area. I'll definitely use the Sunoco again in the future.
