The Woodlake Dr location is our nearest and I've always loooved Wawa. While this location is super busy, they keep up very well. The only issue we have routinely is they run out of breakfast ordering earlier than expected so you only have options for the "to go" boxed sandwiches. If you have your heart set on something, you may be out of luck. This time of the year, the turkey bowl is THE best. I did notice they don't offer rolls with it anymore though. read more

The counters were very dirty, the cup holders dirty as well; the trash cans built into the counter were all overflowing. A bit disappointing and definitely a turn off. Man, these Wawa's are awesome. This is the gold standard for convenience stores. Clean and tidy gas pump area, clean and tidy inside, attendants that can speak and understand English, that don't seem to exude an attitude that you're inconveniencing them with your business. Coffee, excellent. Big selection though the first two of the urns that I tried were empty. Plenty of fixings of all the usual types and some I've not seen before. I was able to grab a breakfast sandwich but when I bit into it as I was driving, it was not hot and it was not assembled neatly. Next time, I'll check. I love Wawa. When I moved to Hampton Roads from Philadelphia 22 years ago the two things I missed most were good cheesesteaks and Wawa. Wawa stores are getting more plentiful in this area and this is a very good thing. With all the delicious and fresh made-to-order hoagies and sandwiches along with some pretty delicious soups, sides, wraps and salads this is the perfect place to pick up a quick breakfast or lunch on the way to work or even dinner on the way home. Oops, I forgot to mention they have some great coffee as well. Of course they also have the usual convenience store items, lots of snacks, drinks, dairy items, breads, etc... They also have plenty of gas pumps so you seldom have to wait to fill your tank. The gasoline is not always the cheapest in the area but it's usually pretty close. I don't think I've been to a 7-Eleven since Wawa moved into the area and have no plans to visit one in the future as long as I have a Wawa close by. If you haven't experienced Wawa, do yourself a favor and give it a try. read more

This one always looked packed when you first pull in but usually I can be in and out in about 5 or so minutes so that's not bad at all. First time I have ever been disappointed in a Wawa! I was extremely hungry and in a hurry so I decided to stop by Wawa. I ordered my typically sandwich and bought some chips then I left to go to my destination. Too my complete surprise my sandwich had onions on it that I did not order. Onions aren't like lettuce where you can pull off and still eat it without a taste. The taste completely lingered. I would be more forgiving but honestly my sandwich is as easy as easy gets. I order a panini with provolone, cheddar, chipotle mayo, oregano, and roasted red peppers. It couple practically be made super easily and quick but I was sadly handed a sandwich with all of that and onions that again, I DID NOT order. I had to throw away practically the whole panini and I absolutely hate wasting food just because it's never the right thing to do and unfortunately I had too. I'll keep this short... Gas is cheaper than anywhere else, but only 92 octane for premium. My car manufacturer recommends 93 and I am pretty particular about following that rule. The convenience store is clean (even the bathrooms) and the associates I have encountered are super friendly. Selection is as good as any that you'll find in a convenience store. Freshly made to order sandwiches with plenty of options. My one caution - do not, even when in a hurry - grab that premade breakfast sandwich from under the light. Greasiest thing ever that I could not finish. Other than that, Wawa is A-OK in my opinion. read more

Since I work out in the Greenbrier area I find this WaWa consistently has the cheapest priced gas compared to other stations nearby. God knows we all need affordable gasoline. :) Then you can top that off with an excellent deli. "The Good" - Decent Coffee and a large selection of various kinds to boot, including a jacked up caffeine one. - They have their own Milk from Their own WaWa cows. Its good and should be bought. - Preston and Steve (a great radio show from Philly) Ice Cream. Gadzooks, Gadzooks Blanc, and Guatemalan Ripple. Are all sold by WaWa through one of their vendors, Bassets. So if they have Bassets and you do not see those flavors they can order it. - They have very good cold cut sandwiches and with the hours they keep they are a popular stop for the early risers that want to through lunch in a cooler. - The, actually, easy to use computer ordering system for the sandwiches. - They have health (fast) food. Carrot sticks Celery sticks and random fruit. that you can get as a quick snack or salads on the run. - Coolers and Ice for the one stop shop. - Free ATM. - Tastycakes... and as we all know. Nobody bakes a cake as tasty as a Tastycake. - As others have pointed out but something I omitted until an edit was the cheaper fuel prices. WaWa is very good about this and it is a tremendous draw. Think about it sacrifice a few pennies on a gallon of gas so the customer will buy a $2.00 water. Nice trade off and it is convenient for us. First time ever visiting a WAWA and it was clean but the service by one lady made me never want to go back. All I wanted was a salad dressing and didn't know where it was at and asked 3 different people one did t know the other 2 said it was in a aisle by the salad. Well they explained it wrong and I didn't see them once I did see them I told one of the females that helped me out that I was sorry but I must be blind because it is on a railing connected to the refrigerator island where the salad was in but on the opposite side of the salad. She replied "you sure are blind". Seriously what a B----. How rude. It was busy but not everybody has visited your store being rude isn't giving you return visits. I don't think I had ever been to a Wawa before going to this place. I go here several times a month for lunch and sometimes even breakfast. It's very close to my work so it's really convenient to stop by for a quick bite. Another bonus is the gas here is probably the cheapest in the area, I fill up here quite often. I do usually try to avoid the 12-1pm hour here though because it can get absolutely packed. I don't really want to wait 15 minutes for my food in this 'fast food' environment. They do have pre-made food that is pretty good as well. I usually get the Chicken Caesar Salad or the Chicken Caesar Wrap. read more

Horrible horrible experience with the wawa located on woodlake drive in Chesapeake va. I placed a delivery order for sandwiches. My order arrived and I looked at the receipt, it showed several sandwiches out that I ordered. So I called customer service, the lady on the phone stated I would receive a refund for my missing sandwiches. I called customer service to verify what the previous rep told me because when I spoke to him he kept saying his computer wasn't working. The lady I spoke with confirmed I would get a refund in 5 days. 5 days has come and gone no refund. This seems to be a scam going on with Wawa at that location. The menu shows items that are available, you place your order, delivery arrives and guess what those items aren't in your bag. I use to like Wawa but to have a huge company take my money and lie to me that is just bad business and stealing!!!! Never will Wawa receive another dollar from me. read more
