I am a fan of Royal Farms solely because of the chicken tenders, wedges, and Chesapeake sauce. However this particular RF is in deep! You can clearly tell they need more hired help. I went to this establishment on an early afternoon. The beverages were empty. The shelves for snacks (chips and things) were full. I ordered my meal (chicken tenders meal and a large fry) at 12:33 PM. I did not receive my order until 1:12 PM. There was only one woman working the food area and she was struggling. I saw TWO employees watch her struggle until another gentleman employee came and assisted her. Could you tell? No, because he was also SLOW! You're probably thinking, well was the food fresh out the oil because that's a long wait for chicken tenders and fries. NOPE! It was under the light the entire time! I really hope they hire some more help soon because they need it! read more

This is what is being served! Definitely need some food service training! If you would not eat yourself, then don't serve it! Cook chicken in smaller batches or cook to order! This is pathetic! Let me start off by saying I wasn't a fan of this establishment at first because I thought it was just another convenient store but I boy was I mistaken!. They have a lots of different items to purchase from little orange juices by the registers as you check out to wine selections and made to order hot foods. They have gas pumps available to purchase fuel and a car wash for your convenience as well, but most of all ( remember this is based solely on my opinion and my opinion alone ) they have the best spicy tenders in the south!!.. read more

I went in to monetize their business and use the restroom. As I entered the gas station the white woman at the front, said that I could not use the restroom in their facility, even if I was a customer. I noticed that they had the bathrooms blocked off from the rest of the store. She was insistent that if I was to use the restroom against "store policy" that she would call the police as a result. She mentioned that it "wasn't a law" but due to the behavior of a certain individual they closed off restroom usage after a certain hour of the day. I believe that if it was any other customer with a different skin color the response would've been completely different. That night I did choose to leave and monetize Wawa instead. As a paying customer, I shouldn't be penalized for another individuals actions especially since I haven't shown any evidence that would imply that kind of behavior. This type of PREJUDICE keeps my money invested where thedoors are always open. read more

Fishy chicken. Stopped by on way from obx home to vb. Got a 12 pc. Got home and it was fishy tasting. Emailed them, sent me back a "sorry", I emailed back and asked if they'd replace it since it was $28 and got a "oh yea" we'll mail it you. Well that was on August. So I'm a relatively new customer of Royal Farms. They opened one in Chesapeake and I love it! So this particular store isn't so new. However, the chicken is still amazing! The customer service was good. The store was clean. They seem to have everything you need: candy, drinks, convenient foods, of course the fresh food, gas, ice cream, etc. This is the perfect place to get gas and food! read more

I came to Royal Farms twice this week. The first time I came in was for some food. I was extremely hungry and went to the kiosk and ordered a chicken tender sub. I had the works on it! I also added a side of wedges w/ cheese. It took about 12 minutes for my food to get made. That seemed a bit long to me. I didn't open up my food until I got home. The sub was delicious! i absolutely loved it. I was disappointed in the wedges, I didn't see any cheese at all. If there was any cheese it was dried up on the wedges, i was expecting some legit cheesy wedges. I didn't eat them all. My second visit was strictly to put some air on my tires. FRee Air! the way it should be. I stopped at Wawa beforehand and their air pump was down. Thank you Royal Farms for being there when i was low. read more

Every time I go in the cashier's help me with my rewards process. They are friendly and eager to help! Today I redeemed the pull chicken sandwich. It was huge. I ate half for lunch and the other half for dinner. It was delicious and seasoned perfectly! Great Staff! Great Food! My son in law loves the potato wedges. read more

I went to get some fried chicken and fries. On the order screen, I selected a sauce. You have to pay extra for the sauce, but they only filled a little container up halfway. I asked for more, and the employee said that's all I would get. If you're going to charge me extra for sauce, don't be so stingy with it. Management sucks. I was quoted one price for a money order and then after taking my money they doubled the fee. I felt they should have honored the fee quoted and management was very rude and disrespectiful to me. He knew his staff made a mistake but instead of apologizing, he treated me like I did something wrong. If he would have just apologized for the mistake I would have been fine, but to blatantly disrespect a customer is totally wrong. I will never visit this Royal Farms again. read more

This place is not the place to get good customer service or good food. Last week ordered food and took every bit of my lunch because the lady making the food was chatting with a man and wasn't making nothing. This week I try it again I order a chicken salad stand in line to pay for it they call my number I try to pay for it the lady said they called your number they don't have it.. I walk over the lady cooking says we don't have it... with a shit attitude and walks away leaving me standing to figure out what exactly do y'all have cuz this whole ordering thing then waiting in line to pay for it for you not to have something else but they wouldn't even look at me so I order a breakfast sandwich which taste exactly what is was stuck to which was plastic... that will be my last time going into that store read more

My son really loves their chicken and potato wedges. They have a big selection of just about everything. The gas is usually one of the least expensive in the area. I also like how I can get 20 cents off per gallon if I buy a car wash. read more
