Needed work done on another bike so finally got around to it.

That was a long time ago, and there's a reason I'm still coming back. Mike went on to become a fantastic rider and an extremely knowledgeable wrencher himself, and he's always credited a lot of what he learned to the experience he gained working at BRG. Over the years, BRG has worked on my Hondas, Kawasakis/Ninjas and GSX-Rs. They've handled everything from regular maintenance to carburetor work, jetting, dyno tuning and performance upgrades. These guys have been doing real performance work for decades and actually understand how to diagnose a problem instead of just throwing parts at it. Most recently, I've gotten into Harley's/baggers and touring bikes. I brought a bike in with a fuel leak and, once again, they took care of it and got me back on the road thanks to Their in house Harley specialist and well rounded team they nailed the diagnosis first time. Of course- nobody has xray vision, and every issue has a starting point. But they nailed it this time. K.C. has built a shop with a ton of knowledge and old-school experience behind it. Whether you need basic maintenance, troubleshooting, carb work or serious dyno/performance tuning, they know their stuff and they take the time to do the job right. Kristin in the office is fantastic -- friendly, helpful and great with communication -- and the guys in the shop have always treated me well. Nice that she brings text messages and simple payment options such as Zelle & Venmo for customer convenience and speedy response times. After decades of bringing bikes here, I can say BRG has earned my trust. It's pretty cool being able to bring my motorcycles to the same shop I trusted when I was 16 years old. Definitely a longtime East Bay shop worth supporting. Their shop rates are very fair and well below dealer rates. They not only fix the issue but keep their eyes peeled for other safety and maintenance concerns.

2024 Started work with BRG oil leak now 2026 still dealing with them about oil leaks on my car…read more After thousands of dollars in repairs and recommendations. One oil leak after another, power steering pump went out 2 or 3 times. They pulled my whole transmission and engine the day pick it up 3rd gear was slipping so bad when driving it home. i Had to turn around to take it back to them for repairs. So it tells me no one tested the car after the repairs and didn't even test drive it. Highly recommend no one uses them there a rip off and want me to come back for warranty work NO " I WANT MY MONEY BACK"

Nonetheless, a friend suggested to look for a mobile motorcycle mechanic, and behold Yelp did its magic in putting me in touch with Kyle ( owner & mechanic). Kyle contacted me, we agreed on a day, a time and cost. He came to my home, and did his thing Long story short...because I neglected the bike, it needed new parts etc. And additional trips to the house. But ultimately Kyle got her up and running better than before. Kyle is a cool cat...who is fair in his pricing and does amazing work that's guaranteed. Started out, after arriving at my pre-scheduled appointment with the local Harley dealer…read more(McGuires), I was told they wouldn't be able to do the tune-up, 3 hole fluid change & a couple of other, smaller requests, i.e., change a cut timing belt & install new different bars, because they apparently don't work on custom Harleys; BUT... they recommended this shop, so I called and was told: "Sure! No Problem, come on down, we'll get it done!" I have to point out that I agreed that the job wouldn't be a big "rush" job... and the time frame was set at about 2 weeks or so.... However, at 3 weeks we had a few words about the delay & where things stood, and once AGAIN, I said: "Look, it's no sweat, BUT I want it done here in the near future"... another week goes by, nothing; ANOTHER week goes by and I call & am told "We've got it on the lift now... FRIDAY for sure". Friday comes goes, NEXT FRIDAY rolls around and there was "problems with getting the tank off & it'll be handled in the next day or two". It's now been 7 weeks, going on TWO MONTHS and still not done. I'm a patient guy, I understand set backs, unforeseen problems arising, yada yada yada... but enough is ENOUGH. FINISH THE WORK OR RETURN THE BIKE... I'm truly hoping the "Quality" of theirwork is exemplary and worth the wait... We shall see...
