Regardless of how fancy their tow trucks look because of how much money they've made transporting motorcycle, ultimately, it's about prioritizing customers and doing better for society and those around the community. My reviews always break down the good and the bad, so I'll start with the bad: 1. initial contact over the phone was problematic the first time, trying to make arrangements for a bike in storage. The GOOD: 1. A different bike broke down at 10 p.m. and he picked up my call right away but was involved towing another bike so said he'd call me back. I got nervous but he called back half an hour later and said he was on his way. 2. Arrived without being lost even though I was in an obscure location off hwy 680 3. His truck is professional and easily recognizable. Not just a pickup with a aluminum ramp. 4. Informative, knowledgeable and experienced both in vehicle recovery, motorcycle riding and safety. 5. I went for ride and broke down in the middle of nowhere (Deer Valley Rd., Brentwood). I needed a tow. The muffler on my Buell is only about 3 inches off the ground, so I needed a flatbed truck or similar type of lift. I first called a couple of local companies near Antioch, and then called Mike at Motowest. Though he was all the way in Concord, his quote was $25 cheaper than the other two. So I gave him my location, and he arrived in less than 30 minutes. He loaded my bike onto his truck, and each of the straps that contacted my bike were padded, so there was no damage. He drove me back to my house, and even helped push my bike up my driveway. I've been meaning to write this review for some time, but the days have slipped on by. I picked up a "bargain" off of Craigslist that wouldn't run. As a rookie in the market for a bike, I was looking for something inexpensive, as I'll most likely drop it, and something that doesn't go too fast, as I don't have a death wish; hence the purchase of a 1980 Honda CX500D. Going into it, I knew it would like have some carb trouble, maybe need a triple bypass, and probably have a few more issues. We'll the day of the pickup it wouldn't run...so I called Mike. If you could do it yourself you probably would, but after an accident, or front end damage and don't have the strength to push it up ramps. Call Mike. Mike was referred to me from Concord Power Sports, and I can't say enough good things about him. He was happy to help us tow our scooter on a Sunday, was punctual, and very efficient at loading up the bike. Concord Power Sports, where we were towing the bike to, was closed, so we were just planning on leaving it locked up outside the service area. However, after we got there, we noticed some rather sketchy-looking clientele loitering outside.
