Dr. Heather is a very skilled physician and I also know she CARES... Rebecca is extremely good at lab work; she is able to draw my blood on the very first try, which is just short of a miracle. (The last time I was at the hospital an ultrasound specialist had to be called in special to use it to find my very tiny veins, and Rebecca can do it on the first try!) In the past two years, I have been to this location for lab work at least twice. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes. Today I was told for "walk in" labs it would be at least an hours wait. I could not wait, since I had a previously scheduled dentist appointment. I know my Doctors office moved from floor 2 to the first floor a couple weeks ago and the "bugs" have not been worked out yet. I feel the move has not been efficient for this office. Lab blood draw wait times of over an hour are unacceptable in my opinion. At this time I would not recommend having labs done at this office. I hope they work this out!!

For OHSU Immediate Care Beaverton…read more Writing this review is challenging for me, as I deeply respect the healthcare profession. On 4/16, Daryl Plotzker examined my daughter and me. Following the examination, Daryl informed us that there were no indications for antibiotic treatment. I respectfully questioned this decision, explaining that my daughter's symptoms worsened at night and had been progressively more difficult to manage with at home remedies - a situation we have experienced before. I emphasized that our visit was not impulsive; we had waited eight days to seek medical care. Despite this, we were not provided any treatment or antibiotics. Within hours, we sought care at another immediate care facility where a different healthcare provider diagnosed my daughter with pneumonia. Ten days after our visit to OHSU Immediate Care in Beaverton, I visited a new urgent care facility where the doctor identified the most severe ear infection (in both ears) he had ever encountered. I plan to contact Patient Advocacy Relations in hopes this does not happen to another family again.

While waiting for an appointment, it's kinda tacky to hear staff loudly talking about a call with another patient who was frustrated with them about scheduling, and hear them make fun of her and say things like 'I was gonna tell her the information she needed but she cut me off so good luck to her I guess haha' like... I get this is your job, and everyone wants to complain about their work or 'clients/customers' that they view as annoying, but this is the healthcare field. This is people's lives, and yeah folks get frustrated in regard to their personal health and trying to navigate the hell that is our healthcare system. Leave those conversations at home, or at a low enough volume that folks in the waiting room can't hear you. It does not fill me with confidence that patients information and struggles are going to be taken seriously and not mocked when I hear that in the waiting room. Also not being able to schedule an appointment 3 months out, when I was specifically told by my doctor that I need to come back in 3 months, is kinda ridiculous. I'll try and remember to call back and schedule myself in a few months, but it's very likely I'll forget which is why I wanted to get it put on the books today. :(

It got to where I had to schedule my yearly Pap 6 months in advance, and regular visits (once for bronchitis at least 3 weeks out) as well. Dr Kemp was a physician at a local practice with several other physicians. About 6 months after my first appointment, I was alerted that she was moving to her own private practice a few blocks away in Orenco Station. Her staff consists of a very professional (and delightful) office manager and one of my favorite nurses ever; as the practice has grown, she's added a nurse assistant. The clinic is in one of the cute Orenco Station townhouses; very elegant with an Italian theme and three clean, comfortable rooms. Dr Kemp has helped me manage my medical issues with compassionate care. She is very professional, yet warm, and always takes time to explain to me what the issue is and the treatment approaches. When I had an on-the-job foot injury a few years ago, she worked with my podiatrist and Worker's Compensation to make sure the process leading up to the surgery (by the podiatrist) was smoother than it otherwise could have been (WC is a pain to work with). The only downside of her new practice is that she is extremely popular and *does not* shuttle her patients out the door after the insurance-required 15 minutes - and this means more time in the wait room, but it's worth it for a doctor who truly cares.
