I had high hopes for using this practice. I had a very warm and encouraging conversation with someone in May who guided me to write an online inquiry describing what I was looking for in a doctor so they could thoughtfully place me with the appropriate professional. The one who I read had openings was not my first choice, so I was led to believe that another doctor, whose online bio appealed to me, would be shown the form I filled out and I'd get a response. So, I never got a response. I called in June to remind her and was told "the doctor was on vacation" blah blah blah. She promised she would show the doctor my inquiry and I'd hear back either way. This didn't happen. That conversation was on June 5th and it is now over a month later. I give up on this practice. How can you be offering "concierge" medicine which is supposed to devote extra time to patients and completely ignore a potential new patient who is willing to jump in and pay the practice MONTHLY whether being seen or not? This place is a scam. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. With the flat fee they charge the doctors at this office they do the absolute bare minimum. My full physical literally only consisted of my BP being taken and a generic blood panel that didn't even come back with conditions I already knew I had. It's basically a referral center, but even the doctors they refer you to aren't accepting new patients. To top off the horrible experience this place offers, Dr. Cuneo actually wanted to withhold vital information about my health. I've never heard a doctor so adamant about not sharing health information with their own patient. I'll definitely be following up with my lawyers as I'm not even sure that's legal. DO NOT GO HERE. Called Baskin and was transferred to my doctor Lisa Cuneo. Lisa told me what to do and my arm was back to normal by Monday morning. DO NOT GO TO DR. CUNEO. Seeing her has literally caused my health problems to actively worsen at this point. She does not care about the well-being of her patients at all. I am currently experiencing physical and mental health issues due to her refusal to refill my medication, and it is causing me an inability to get important things done in the rest of my life, such as getting necessary emergency medical care for my cat. She will not refill them because I have not been in in the past year, but she also will not let me make an appointment, nor will she let me have enough medication to literally make it to the earliest appointment I would possibly be able to schedule due to my own schedule. She will make you quit needed medications cold turkey and does not care how much of a negative impact it has on your health. read more

I chose Baskin clinic for a high level of personalized service and well thought out referrals. The reviews looked great and the price seemed reasonable. Dr Cuneo's sales pitch was great. She was going to be my quarterback to help co-ordinate my care. What I got was a very inefficient referral factory delivered by a Doctor who was at best indifferent and condescending. At worst she was confidently incorrect, combative, lazy and incompetent. Multiple referrals took months (literally months and months) to get done properly. I spent an inordinate amount of time calling offices to try to ensure that (please, please, please) my referral had finally been done and I could get the care I so badly needed. Additionally I had to go through so much work to get referrals to other providers. Doctor Cuneo would text me long lectures about why I was wrong about the care offered by certain facilities. Spoiler Alert- I was not wrong, was admitted to and received exactly the care I needed at every facility she argued with me about. On multiple occasions it was clear she had simply pulled up a single webpage scanned it and moved forward with her incorrect assumptions. When I dared to let her know how frustrated I was I was on the receiving end of a defensive lecture about how I hadn't followed up on some other referrals she had provided. Spoiler Alert- I had, she just hadn't bothered to look at the medical records. This doctor couldn't even figure out how to write a 90 day prescription. It was my insurance she insisted they just wouldn't allow it. Somehow my next provider was able to get that 90 prescription done in a day on the exact same insurance plan. I generally liked the staff at the clinic. They all were friendly and efficient. The only problem was my doctor. I inquired into the possibility of changing doctors within the practice I was told I had to ask permission from my current doctor. Lol. No Thanks I'll just take my business elsewhere. A word of advice: For Baskin Clinic management if you are going to prioritize office politics over patient care in your concierge practice then get better doctors. For everyone else I know finding a pcp is hard but this practice is not the answer. Dr Cuneo actively made getting healthy harder and she's the only doctor at this practice who is taking patients. read more

In our current climate it can be difficult to get anything done, even ordering a pizza, especially anything medical. Its not uncommon to hear, "all booked up'' or "we are booked out for 4-6 months". "Don't call us we will call you". Or when you get to see a healthcare personnel, they are tired, look like you are inconvenienced them. At the Baskin Clinic, you can call and they fit you in the Schedule ASAP. Lester Baskin MD, is a Doctors Doctor". He is genuinely interested, and informative. Attentive, caring and honest. I have a rare disease, 8-10/million. Everyone is so scared of the disease, they continue to push me to another physician. He accepted me. Currently, I have not been able to get on a therapeutic medication for 4 years. He was able to get the medication in less than a day. He made it happen. He even called my cell phone that evening. If you want to step back in time, and experience what medicine was like 20-30 years again , someone you can see easily, that looks you in the eye, and answers your questions, cares, and gets a diagnosis and treatment plan. First an foremost, the office is wonderful. There is plenty of parking and all of the rooms I have been in have a beautiful view of downtown, which is nice when you are waiting in an examination room. Second, Dr. Heather Baskin has a great bedside manner - both in person and via video conference. She is knowledgeable, straightforward, compassionate, curious, funny, and kind. She is able to recall our conversations, which I have never had a doctor do. Thirdly, the clinic uses the Spruce app, which allows me to reach out to Heather anywhere and any time. No longer do I have to make and retain a mental note to tell my doctor about something, I can just tell her immediately. I can send her photos and videos, chat, voice messages, and video conference. I know it sounds like I am all about this app, but the Baskin Clinic made the effort to integrate it into their practice, and I have really appreciated the experience. I called with a simple sinus infection and was told to take a hike. After spending about 1k with them. tl;dr - Highest recommendation. Somewhat longer version: We first discovered concierge-style medical care in a pediatric office. I was so blown away by the level of care and SERVICE that I asked--jokingly!--if such things were available for grown ups. I was shocked to find out the answer was yes. You know how long our intact appointments lasted? Me either. They were as long as they needed to be--more than an hour each. Thorough medical history was taken, we discussed lifestyle issues and had a real conversation about health goals. Health goals! My husband and I are active, healthy adults, but the approach taken was how can we make good better and do our best to insure we STAY active, healthy adults as we age. What would medical care be if doctors had the time to take a proactive and collaborative approach, rather than fix on fail? Well, it would be concierge care. This clinic is not a place I begrudgingly go when I'm ill. It feels like having a health coach in my corner, a qualified professional who is not only a part of my life when I'm ill or injured but also when I'm good, so I can stay good or get better. I love it. Okay, that up there is kind of a review of concierge practice, now let me switch to Dr. Lester Baskin in particular-- The man is kind, intelligent, patient and generous. My parents are not his patients, but he made himself available to help me navigate arrangements for their care more than once. When my stepmother died, I texted him from Arizona to ask how to dispose of all her leftover medications. He called me with the name and address of a pharmacy near her home that could take them, then spent an hour on the phone with me helping me figure out how to make sure my dad was safe living alone. I feel defeated and I honestly wish I never signed up with Baskin Clinic. I really needed help and I thought I found it in them. I was enrolled with Baskin Clinic for almost 7 months, I went to them for standard care after not having been to the doctor for almost a year. I had moved between 3 states in a short period of time and had a hard time establishing care. I have asthma and autism + ADHD. I had my new patient apt in August right before getting laid off and the clinic seemed like a place where I can manage all of my care. My last doctor managed my care no problem as I have been diagnosed and on the spectrum since age 8. I specifically inquired, before signing up with the clinic, if this is something they would be willing to manage and they said yes. The first thing the doctor did was order a routine urine analysis. I tried to clarify the pricing of the lab work since I had just gotten laid off and money is going to get tight, the front desk said they would get back to me. They needed to get my prior records anyways. A week later I had not heard back about the lab pricing or prior records so I called. The front desk said they wrote it down somewhere and they will put it in my chart? They didn't seem clear on this and after following up again on the pricing with no response, I just let it go. With being laid off, I figured I dont need my medication anyways, but I was wrong. I struggled extremely hard to get out bed, interview, tend house, maintain a sleep schedule, etc. I messaged the providers about getting back on my regular medication and they told me to come do the urine analysis, which I did and the results were as expected. I took the urine analysis around Christmas and expected the office to call me or reach out in some way when the results were back. Im now a month into my new job and I thought I had a doctor I could rely on to help me while I pick my life up again. I'm scared I'm going to get fired if I can't function. After weeks of not hearing back I had to call the office to get my results. Then the doctor tells me she actually doesn't manage medications and I need to go see another doctor she knows. She told me she tells everyone this. (she didn't tell me this? I specifically asked too) She offered no real explanation for the change, she just said she didn't get my past medical history from my old doctor (yet she never offered to have me get the records?). I find this to be extremely concerning, wasteful of my time, and just disrespectful. I sent her a picture of my med bottle with my name and the doctors name on it, along with whatever medication I had left to prove I have this prescription. She said she tried to call my prior doctor 5 times. We are on PST and I called my previous doctor who is on EST and they IMMEDIATELY answered the phone. I simply do not believe she tried to call my previous provider at all. This doctor has left me in a horrible state, mentally and it's extremely challenging to do anything. I now have to start the process of establishing care ALL OVER AGAIN. This clinic just cares about the number of $135 payments they can get in a month and prolonging that. They dont care to help me as an individual. At one point I said to the doc "you dont believe I have this diagnosis?" to which she had NO RESPONSE. It sucks to not be believed by your own doctor and I'm just totally defeated. If she didn't believe me, then she shouldn't have taken over $800+ dollars from an unemployed person who is struggling to get it together. I dont even know if that's the case, because she had no concrete reason on "what changed between our new patient appointment and now" & she had no response to me saying I think she doesn't believe me...she just wanted me to go see her friend. She could be getting kickbacks from that doctor, I dont know. I'm so confused and crushed I have to go through the process of finding another primary care physician, schedule, go to the appointment with a busy work schedule, doing all of their labs, etc etc. and risk that that new doctor is going to put me through the same ringer. read more

I recently moved to Portland and was looking to find a doctor to replace the wonderful doctor I left behind, who was an integrative medicine doctor. My searches led me to Greenfield Health, also a concierge medicine organization, and an integrative medicine doctor. I ended up not being happy with Greenfield Health but became a fan of the concierge medicine model. I found Baskin Clinic in my searches and Dr Neborsky seemed to be most like my previous doctor as far as integrative medicine goes. She did some training with Dr Weil, which was a plus. I'm very, very happy with Dr Neborsky and also the Baskin Clinic in general. I like that I can contact my doctor at any time via text, phone, or video and potentially avoid trips to the clinic, urgent care, or the ER. I've only had to call after hours once but I was grateful that the option existed. Even though my health issues are mostly mental health, Dr Neborsky is very knowledgeable in that area. She encourages lifestyle changes and using supplements where they can be helpful rather than always resorting to prescription drugs. I also should mention that I had some interaction with Dr Wolpert while Dr Neborsky was on vacation and she seemed to be excellent as well. All in all, I've had a great experience and it's well worth the monthly fee even though I have good insurance. read more

Dr. Rebecca Neborsky has been my primary care provider for the last few years, and has been worth every penny of the cost of being a member of this clinic. Overall the clinic is great. Especially if you are the type of person(like me) that if you start to suspect something is wrong and want to be seen quickly, you can usually get an appointment the same day. I've injured myself in the morning, made an appointment, had an x-ray, and had it diagnosed within a span of a few hours at this clinic on more than one occasion. The medical assistants at the office are also excellent. I'm fairly needle adverse and have barely felt anything on annual physical blood draws, nor vaccines... And I've been poked and prodded a lot when I was younger. I can't speak for all the doctors, but from bedside manner, to diagnosing, to referring out to other excellent specialists, Dr. Neborsky has been probably my favorite primary care provider I've ever had. I chose the Baskin Clinic because, in the past, my busy schedule often interfered with scheduling appointments. This was compounded by the limited availability of the providers I saw. In the end, it was me and my health that suffered. The direct primary care model utilized at the Baskin Clinic allows me to put my health first. The clinic's schedule meets my needs. Appointments are always convenient; I can count on my doctor to be on time for my appointment; and I never feel rushed while talking to my doctor. The best part is I can reach out to and communicate with my doctor at any time. This has been incredibly handy, especially during covid, because I can receive timely answers to my questions without the hassle of unnecessary office visits. I have stayed at the Baskin Clinic because the staff is wonderful. Everyone I have interacted with, from the office staff to the on-call doctor I spoke to late on a weekend night, have all been incredibly gracious. I see Dr. Wolpert. She is friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and listens carefully to my concerns. I really appreciate that she helps me take an active role in my care by providing me with the information and guidance I need to make decisions about my care. I cannot imagine going back to the old model of primary care. I'm so glad I found Dr. Wolpert and the Baskin Clinic. I highly recommend them! I have been with Dr. Baskin for almost two years now, and she is definitely a 5* physician! I am so thankful that I chose her as my physician, and only wish I'd done so years ago. I can't say enough good things about Lester Baskin and the Baskin Clinic. First and foremost, Dr Baskin is an experienced and thorough diagnostician who knows how to connect the dots. Having earned his chops at Kaiser before opening his private practice 10+ years ago, sitting down with him you get the sense that there's nothing he hasn't seen. But while a good internist elsewhere may see 2000 patients, Dr Baskin limits his practice to under 350. What this means is you get the benefit of his vast experience plus the luxury of time and accessibility. For office visits, that means extended appointments that can scheduled for the next day, or sometimes even the same day. It also means 24/7 phone/text access and direct email contact (with blazingly fast response times). And when it comes to seeing specialists and navigating the often murky waters of health issues that cut across a number of specialties, you'll get more than just a referral from him. On more than one occasion, he's consulted directly with a specialist on my behalf, expediting the process and easing communications between all players. In short, if you're considering a direct primary care physician, Dr Baskin is the complete package. read more

Dr. Neborsky is our primary care physician. She has been very pleasant to deal with and her office staff are great. We had a severe medical crisis recently and her follow up care and monitoring has been excellent. She is always available as advertised by The Baskin Clinic for the times we have had to contact her after hours. As a Registered Nurse with 20 years of ICU and ER experience I feel very comfortable with Dr. Neborsky's competence and adherence to current standards of care.
