The ER team had me follow up with Dr. Nguyen (pronounced 'win') after my ER evaluation. As a result,I recently had neck surgery which Dr. Nguyen performed, and I'm so glad she's my doctor. She looked through historic records and showed me what had been going on in my neck so I understood the treatment plan. At times I was in tears because I didn't know if the cyst was going to show malignancy; fortunately it did not. She was calming and kind, answering all my questions and then some. I had such a great experience with her. Why? *Dr. Nguyen is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and empathetic. *She and her team are very organized, and my appointments have all been on time. * Even if she has difficult news to share, she is still genuine and compassionate. *She informed me of risks and let me know honestly when some pain might be involved. Jeff, her medical assistant, is truly a gem. Every time I interact with him he's extremely pleasant and compassionate, and helpful as anyone could be. No worries about getting information I need, he's got a copy ready for me. His manner is also calm and kind, and I can imagine his patients adore him; he's that kind of person. Not required, but recommended. This mammogram resulted in abnormal cells that had to be removed.
