I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews because we have used Brett's several times and never had anything but positive experiences. In fact, one time we called him about an issue and instead of trying to get us to pay him quite a bit for a service, he told us we would be better off purchasing a certain thing and doing the repair on our own. I really appreciated that because many businesses try to up sell you at every opportunity. I find his pricing to be very reasonable and his work is always quality. He is really responsive when you call for appointments and can usually fit you in fairly quickly. His work was efficient and he made sure that everything he brought in used and the area he worked in were spotless before he left. We have had zero issues with any of the work he has done for us. Brett charged $807 in Monroeville, PA, to install a piece of crap $99 Home Depot special, American Standard toilet, and it wouldn't flush. He adjusted it, but it never worked. Months of a no flush toilet. When I balked at the high cost of the toilet installation (It's WAY out of range), Brett told me if I couldn't afford it, then that's when I should sell my blood plasma. A plumber telling a customer to sell her blood to afford his cheap nonworking toilet. Let that flush through your mind before you call Brett. Recently, after many months, I finally replaced it. A Gerber toilet. Strong. Flushes every time. Aren't toilets supposed to do that? It cost half of what Brett charged. A Gerber is more expensive than an American Standard. How is that possible? It's possible when a service provider cares about customers, is honest, and kind, and won't look for an opportunity to take advantage of someone who can least afford to be taken advantage of. $807 for a faulty toilet. Brett's came to repair my mothers tub drain and redo her laundry sink water lines he did that a well and good despite accidentally cutting a water line he didn't mean to and I was there watching him do it all and actually helped him a few times when he needed a second pair of hands. What was unprofessional about him was the fact that after he was done he never wrote out an invoice and for a whole year my mother and I have tried multiple times to get ahold of him to pay for his services and just today he sent a text to my mother saying she owed $1,600 because he couldn't get ahold of her for a year and he made every excuse why "he changed multiple phones, family getting sick, children being born, vacations, etc" All this shows a lack of professionalism of him to complete his jobs unless he does this to all his customers so he can charge them more for "not being able to get ahold of them" read more

We had a small job which many plumbers don't want to be bothered with. Brett's took the call, came the next day and charged an honest and reasonable fee. Very easy to work with. Professional, honest, and fair pricing. And just a nice guy! Will use again and highly recommend to others. read more

im gonna make this big and loud. i needed a leak fixed under the basement sink. brett replaced the pipes. 2 years ago. the p trap pipe brokr loise, hanging . i went to home depot to ask what to do. i come to find that the pipe attached to the p trap pipe was too short. he disnt even bother to put the right size pupe on. it was then i remembered him telling me to keep the blocks of wood he used under the p trap pipe. unbelievable. not to mention he also said after finishing that he would be back to finish the rest of the job. i called and called. left messages on his phone and with a person who tajes messages.he never replied. i was suppose to pay him as well when he reyurned. and i had other work needing done. it was a year begorw he contacted me. only aftrr my son left a bad review.. i am a widow. my husband did everything himself or got the help. so i was depending o. getting the help i needed honestly. amd thats not the case with everyone ive had to deal with concerning plumbing. ive had to deal with another plumbing company who yrued getting me to spend another 8000 for roots that weren't even in the piping system after already paying them over 5000 and they never came back to finish that job because i would pay the 8000. so now i have a hole in the basement floor. but that another bad review coming. stay tuned read more

I called Brett since I had no running water in my house due to a leak. He wasn't available to come out that day due to being fully booked but he gave me advice on how to temporally resolve my issue. He even gave out his personal cell and said to send him photos of anything that I'm stuck on and he would walk me through it. That's unheard of since most people want paid for their time! We had an issue with our water pressure regulator which caused our water to shut off. We searched for plumbers in our area and found Brett. He was able to come out within 30 minutes which were so grateful. He promptly fixed our issue and the charge was reasonable. Awesome, right? Well, here is where things take a turn. Because we were so happy with his service, we asked if he could install a new shower faucet. He explained what was involved which was more work than we thought because he had to create an entry panel and shut off valves in addition to replacing the faucet. We called to schedule this and someone answered and said he would call back. After a few days, he didn't return the call so we called again. He asked us to take a picture of the model and serial number of the new faucet we bought so he could find an equivalent with his supplier. We provided him with that information immediately. We never heard back from Brett. It's been a couple of weeks now. I don't know if the job was too involved or he didn't want to do it, but if that's the case he could have said so. I was all ready to provide a great review because this helps other people make decisions. Unfortunately, the best I could do was a three stars. read more

We recently moved into a new house in Pittsburgh (it was flipped) and within a month noticed water damage on the ceiling in the basement. We didn't know the source of the leak or how to address it. Brett was wonderful to work with and took the time to explain his process and what the next steps would be. He was flexible with our schedule, knowledgeable, and an overall great guy. He even contacted our real estate agent to try to get a hold of the guy who flipped our house so that he could discuss the potential issue. I used Yelp to find a plumber in my area for a leaky upstairs toilet that was leaking into my downstairs bathroom. I was referred to Brett's and gave him a call. He was prompt very courteous, explained the problem and resolved it within a reasonable time. His pricing was reasonable (a lot less than I anticipated) and he was pleasure to work him. Brett has been our plumber for about 20 years. He is very friendly, dependable, affordable, ALWAYS cleans up any mess, and doesn't make a big mess when he's working. There was only once out of all the time's he's helped us out that I needed to call him back and he came later on the same day (late evening after he was off doing a bunch of other jobs that day), and made the small adjustment. The work he's done for us has run the gamut. Many times he unclogged pipes that had tree roots (toilet would overflow) until the next-door neighbor chopped down the tree with the offending roots. Brett also over the years has replaced our hot water heater, moved the sanitary tub and hot water heater to support our basement remodel, replaced our toilet, and most recently, installed a new tub and shower for the bathroom remodel.
