Mike arrived quickly for my SMALL pipe leak, which I previously located directly resting on the HVAC duct. (Why I wasn't sure I wanted to handle it myself.) He was polite and professional, rerouting the pipe under the HVAC exactly as I stated upon showing him the leak. It cost $780, OUCH !!! Due to personal circumstances (lack of time and in the middle of another house project), I agreed to have him complete the work. I'm satisfied with the work (only 2 days later and time will tell), but definitely not the hit to my wallet. He used about a foot of copper pipe and a foot and a half of PEX (new product to me). Our daughter's house in Pittsburgh had a gas leak that could be smelled. Gas company turned off gas - HELP! Revelation Plumbing came out the next day. An 8' piece of (very accessible) pipe would need to be replaced with estimate of $2500!!! I asked how they could justify that price - they said, "we're not as expensive as some companies." I said how much do you get an hour? $400/hour! AND $450 for 8' pipe. We said, no way!" Had job done with new pipe - and inspected by gas company - for $800. Buyer beware of these guys. They also offered to replace our "stack pipe" - drain pipe from upstairs fixtures - for $14K! Why? Because of a leak at the bottom of the stack in the basement. To be fair, though outrageously expensive, they have done decent work for us in the past. read more

It's really hard to find high quality service, especially when it comes to home projects. I'm thrilled to say that Revelation Plumbing absolutely excelled in every metric that matters to me. This is truly 5-star service. We had an issue where the pilot on our hot water tank went out and would not ignite. Revelation assured me they could check out my situation within 12 hours, and they provide these really nice text messages to give you precise updates on ETA, allowing the customer to plan their day accordingly. When Mike from Revelation showed up, he spent a little bit of time checking out the issue, and then correctly diagnosed it as an assembly failure. At this point, he laid out my options: replace the part, replace the tank, upgrade the tank (go bigger or go tankless). Mike gave me all the time in the world to sort out what I wanted to do, even allowing me to do some researching on the internet. When I had some questions, he gave me very honest, objective, fact-based responses, and he didn't try to sway my decision one way or the other. I really appreciate how he allowed me to perform due diligence and take my time. Considering that we'll be in the home for a while, I decided to take the plunge into tankless (on account of a recommendation from a friend who did the same thing), and the Revelation crew was able to show up the very next morning. What I appreciate most about the crew was not only their timeliness, but their attention to detail, their conscientiousness, and their workmanship. Luke spent a fair amount of time scouting the area and carefully planning how he wanted to execute this project. He even made some recommendations to me that I hadn't considered while checking in on my own preferences as well. It was almost as if the team had been working in their own house. Once they got started, they took every step very carefully, making sure that they did it right rather than simply got it done and rushed it. The end result was fantastic, and I have zero regrets going tankless. In fact, the first thing I did today was run the dishwasher and the shower at the same time with zero problems. A lot of places try to use high pressure sales or opt for quick-fix solutions that are budget-friendly but ineffective in the long run. There's also a very real communication problem with many businesses, failing to be timely or transparent. Some even have this "your job is too small for me" attitude. I didn't get this vibe from working with Revelation at all. They're one of those companies that have a way of making you feel like you're their only client. I consider Revelation to be part of my go-to "A Team," and given the quality of their work, how they source only the best brands and parts, and how they communicate every step of the way, it's a no brainer to use them for all of my plumbing needs moving forward. Company responds quickly, they are friendly and prompt. But.....buyer beware. They came out to fix a sewage pipe problem I was Having.They charged almost 5K to dig a 2x2 hole in my garage, and gave us the impression the problem would be rectified. But no....there would be additional charges of another 5k to fix an outside pipe as well. I had another company fix this for $868. I really do not understand all the good reviews. When I filed a credit card dispute for the partial amount, the owner sent me threatening text messages. I am certain I can win this in court, but I do not want to be bothered..as my legal fees and time would not be worth it. Go with a company that has a long standing presence, and will give you an honest deal. read more

I can't fault this company in terms of opportunism - they saw I had a problem and offered their services within minutes, plus actually turned up the next morning. this was great for a plumbing emergency. Mike was polite and got on with the job, and actually listened to me and my potential diagnosis of the problem. it turned out that the wax seal had gone from the bottom of the toilet and that was why the leaking was happening. Mike reset the toilet and repaired the flange without adding a whole new one. one of the reasons the water was draining was because of a misaligned flapper. here Mike tried to upsell me a part and fix it for another $200. But I recognized the part, found it in Walmart for $7.43 and fitted it myself in 10 mins. So it could have been more expensive, but I still paid hundreds of dollars. Whats left a bad taste in the mouth was that, unlike most businesses, he wanted to pay in the spot rather than invoice me. I could not do that. I don't have a spare $500 lying around. I explained. I was then subject to harassing texts and emails every single day several times a day asking for payment. I had already explained my situation, was unnecessary. I had to move money around to pay the bill. I felt Harrist. Other plumbers I've used they have invoiced me and I paid a few days later. Not this company. Brhett was able to get us on his schedule very quickly.
